Group from Canada - Fantastic experience & beyond our expectations!
I escorted a group from Canada and when asked about the highlights of our East Africa safari experience, I honestly don’t know where to start. Every single day offered something new and exciting that we completely didn’t expect. We had a gentleman in our group that pretty much summed it up. On day two, he called me over jokingly with a complaint about the view from his tent. It was obstructed by a herd of elephant. He was beyond words with excitement when he and his wife arrived at their accommodations and looked out. The experience just kept getting better.
Our group had cancelled and rescheduled twice due to Covid and the service and assistance by the owner Alan Dixson and his team was exceptional. In comparison to the many other suppliers we work with, they are one of the BEST.
Paula, our group coordinator, was always quick to respond, detailed, and friendly to work with. In fact, we are working with Paula with other groups because she is that GREAT!
The driver / guides were fun, friendly, knowledgeable and always wanting to please, making our safari experience unforgettable.

Going on a safari is a trip of a lifetime, don’t be misled by those offering an unbelievable low price.
We saw firsthand what a cheap safari looks like. While on a game drive a minivan was stuck in the mud with 8 guests inside. I’m sure they were happy when they booked and saved, but they looked hot and miserable that day. Especially looking at us standing up with open hatched roofs in 8-seater Land Cruisers.

Great Safari!! Excellent tour operator and my guide/driver was top notch!
I am a photographer. My safari was 3 weeks long in July of 2022. Not once during that time was I disappointed in the service I received from Ongeri Expeditions or my Guide/Driver Martin Mbuguss. Guide Martin was very knowledgeable about the habits and locations of wildlife and put in great effort to find me exactly what I wanted to photograph each day. My longest lens was a Canon 100-500 7.1 and that was perfect because we were, for the most part, very close to the wildlife. Martin was open to my suggestions and knew much about the areas we visited. Ongeri Expeditions booked me into lovely camps and lodges that were close to watering holes or close to nature, I loved it! The Samburu Elephant Lodge was especially good and had the most delightful young Samburu women as part of the staff. Even though the area was suffering from drought and the river had dried up to a trickle guide Martin located many animals and vistas to photograph. I've been to Kenya before but this was my favourite trip and included not only the Samburu area but the Maasai Mara, Tsavo, Ole Pejeta, Amboselli, and Lake Nakuru. I can't say I loved the condition of the roads, other than the paved roads they were horrendous compared to even the worst in Canada but Martin's Toyota Land Cruiser 4X4 easily coped. I can't say I'm happy with the airlines either. Air Canada and Lufthansa managed to lose my checked bag for 7 days after arrival in Kenya and then cancelled my homeward flight for 24 hours out of Nairobi....nough said

Fantastic trip through Tanzania (with our guide Mwita)!
Absolutely incredible adventure in Tanzania across Tarangire, Serengeti, lake Manyara, ngorongoro crater. Our guide, Mwita, was fantastic! Beyond all the animals we wanted to see, we asked him to show us a few special rare items (black baby rhinos, hippos out of water, and a hunting chase) and he showed us all of them and more including lion cubs feeding and a pack of 15 cubs. His father was also a ranger in Serengeti and his knowledge of the park and animals was unlimited. Lion King made the whole experience stress free and enjoyable. We celebrated our sister’s wedding anniversary and lion king helped us organize a surprise champagne and cake celebration at one of the lodges. Highly recommend Lion King with Mwita as your guide!

Very genuine and hard working people! They never take advantage of the tourists and try to let us see animals as close and much as we want. The quality-price ratio is very high and as students we really appreciate it! Accommodation is wonderful and makes our stays more comfortable!

Fantastic Safari with Mwita and Lion King Adventures
We had amazing 5 day safari in Tanzania, visiting Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide Mwita was fantastic - he was very knowledgeable about the parks and the wildlife. In fact, he was born within Serengeti park since his dad used to be the head park ranger there. With his guidance, we were often the first to spot the animals. Highlights of the trip included seeing the big cats (lions, cheetah, leopards) hunting and feeding.
Booking our safari adventure with Lion King was such an easy, stress-free process. They worked with us to create the perfect itinerary, and we’re responsive and in communication with us throughout. If you are traveling with Lion King Adventures, we highly recommend requesting Mwita!!

Superb stay thanks to Kibuyu !!!
A superb stay spent in Northern Tanzania thanks to Kibuyu and all his team. Marie accompanied us throughout the preparation of this trip and was kind enough to meet us when we arrived in Arusha. She was very helpful and responsive. Concerned about the quality of our stay, she was present by taking our news regularly.
We were lucky to have Meki as our guide, he contributed enormously to the quality of this unforgettable experience. Meki is a very nice person who we trusted from the start. Endowed with very good knowledge and speaking very good French, he shared with us his knowledge of the fauna and flora but also of his country and its culture. Always concerned about our well-being and our safety, we will not forget these strong moments spent with him. And a real lucky charm, it allowed us to tick the "Big five" and see many animals.

I negotiated, booked and payed very easy from Romania a safari for 6 persons (4 adults and 2 children), because Bryson, the owner, is serious, very well organized and answers promptly on email and WhatsApp. We met him in person in Arusha and he made us a very good impression.
There, in safari, everything was perfect and well organized. All of us had a great experience in the parks (Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara) with our guide Freddy, a very nice young man, passionate about animals. He is a good guide and gave us a lot of information. I have to mention the Chef, sorry that I don't remember his name, but he cooked very good for us.

Unforgettable stay
Very happy with the four parks we were able to visit thanks to ANDREW who was an exemplary guide :) Indeed, it is a significant asset that Andrew can give us all the explanations in French.
We had a super friendly cook who arranged all the meals for us everyday. It was very good and successful, despite the complexity of cooking in the middle of nature.
The accommodations were very good. Hygiene was there both in the kitchen and in the vehicle. The car was suitable and the small cushions provided were very welcome.
Remember to cover yourself well, especially in the ngorongoro region where the mornings and nights are cool.
It was nice that our guide had a good knowledge of the flora and fauna. That he respected nature and that it was not the race for animals. We were very lucky to have been able to observe all the most popular ones, but we know that nature can be capricious.
Andrew offered us to get up early some mornings, it was really nice to be able to see the awakening of nature.

6 days safari tour with migration
We had a fabulous time with our excellent guide Adam. Communication, service, value and reliability are great.
Everything has been really amazing from start to finish and our wonderful driver/guide Adam went over and beyond to let us see the animals as close as possible always with the best view.. Thanks to him we had a wonderful experience of Tanzania which was a life long dream.
I cannot recommend them enough.
