Unspoiled and true Africa!
We went on a tour with Home to Africa that was custom made for us and loved everything about it. Very professional agency from start to end. It is funny how pick season in Uganda means hardly any tourist vehicles around you! We only got to see other tourist cars when visiting Ishasha for the tree climbing lions, and next at the gorilla trekking and that was it.
So we had a lush country to roam like we were the only foreigners in it, winding red dirt roads fenced by dense nature being my favorite. On day one we saw almost every animal there (elephants, water buffaloes, impalas, zebras, birds etc). Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to great numbers of animals and one is sure to spot them very soon into their safari. I particularly loved the misty mountains and the gorilla trekking activity in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. A short but intense adventure that still respects and protects the amazing gorillas.
Lake Bunyonyi is definitely worth a stop over, very serene and picturesque.
Food was excellent (loved rolex!!), no stomach issues although tap water is to be avoided. The weather varied depending on the itinerary, it was hot in the savanna but quite cold up in the misty mountains so t-shirs and fleeces would all serve well. Changing money to local currency is not very easy so you best change at the airport (we tried changing at a bank and they refused saying they would only change 50usd bill or higher!).
Throughout our trip we passed villages and towns, saw up and close the daily routine of the locals and got to meet some of the most polite, welcoming and attentive people I have met in my life. It blows my mind to see what they call "ordinary day" as opposed to what I do. Like when we were escorted to our bungalow and the guide casually directed his flashlight to a herd of implalas that was like 3m away, like right there, resting in the dark among men, feeling safer than the open savanna! The herd was so quiet and it was so dark that we never would've noticed it if he hadn't shown them to us!
Man and nature can co exist in harmony and that is something we need to think of and try to practice more. And this is why I keep returning to Africa.

Wild yet Luxurious. A perfect balance!
What an incredible experience we had with Lomo! It isn’t easy choosing a tour operator because of all the options out there, but we know that our choice was the right one.
From the attention to detail Lomo showed in replying to our questions before the trip, to the hot lunches, to the great accommodations, and most importantly, to our very knowledgeable guide. We were lucky to find Lion King
The whole experience was fantastic! Nickson from the office provided great and fast service and was very informative and provided all the needed guidance regarding the upcoming Safari trip. Together with Ms. Pendo we got the most recommended and luxury accommodations which provided us 3 meals a day Inc. lunch boxes and snacks during the activities.
Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge and
Escarpment Luxury Lodge are highly recommended.
Our dear guide Mr. Petro (the "professor" ) made our trip even better than we imagined. He was so professional, kind and friendly and took care about all of our needs. We learned about each and single animal and saw such an amazing scenes during our Safari trip. Mr. Petro is very talented and guided us through the whole journey. Every day was better than the day before. The big migration was amazing and we were lucky to have such experience to see so many animals from different angles.
The service was excellent - starting from the pick up at the airport and drop off, taking care about all of our needs Inc. miniral water and spirits in the car refrigerator. All was arranged properly and the car was cleaned every single day.

Safari 56 makes everything safari feel great - I've loved all the hiking experiences I've done with them. They are detailed oriented, and nothing is ever forgotten. Loved the experience, and I will go on more hikes and safaris with them.

We asked for reimbursement of 1300 euros sent before covid period.. Basili told us to wait due to lack of travellers he had problems to refund tje money. We understood. Now 2 years after we ask for reimbursement and Basili does not reply. WhatsApp email... incredible... i definitely not recommend this tour operator

We booked a tailor made private tour (7 days) with African Savannah Trekkers. At a very affordable price. Philomena, the coordinator, was so helpful and reassuring. She did everything to meet our needs. We planned out the day by day, over several months. All details where professionally handled by Philomena, and we are so grateful for everything she did. She was able to answer all of our questions and concerns. It was amazing to visit beautiful Tanzania, The Serengeti plains, Ngorongoro Crater and Tanrangire National Park. The total tally of animals we saw on the whole trip: 25 lions, 4 Leopards, 4 Cheetas ... plus, Eland Deer, Dik-Dik, Thompson Gazelle, Turtles, Black faced monkeys, Striped Snake, Donkeys, Wilderbeast, Marabou Stork, Impalas, Hippoptamus, Giraffe, Warthogs, Buffalo, Crocodiles, Flamingo, Heart Beasts, Mongoose, Zebra, Topi, Jackal, Baboon, Elephant, Flamingos, Pelicans, Rock Herricks, Hyena, Ostrich, and too many bird species to name here, Weaver Birds, Starlings, Buzzards, Guinea Fowls, Falcons. We also saw the very elusive Serval. And fortunately, the icing on the cake - one White Rhino ! We were definitely pleased with our choices of parks, but two days (in stead of one) in Tarangire, would have been a better choice, just so much wildlife there. The whole trip was so memorable and just truly amazing. The safari is an unforgettable memory. It will stay in our hearts forever.

Experienced team and great management
It was a great 3 days safari, we had the chance to see all the animals with our experienced tour guide Ayoubo. The management service by Abraham was fantastic, everything was well organised ( food, transport, lodge and hotel).

Walter excelled from the start and was a delight to deal with throughout. He was fastest to respond to my initial enquiry on SafariBookings.com and in a little over 24 hours we were chatting on a Zoom call where he asked all the right questions to ensure he understood exactly what we wanted, what our budget was, what constraints we had, and where we had flexibility. There were no assumptions, no sense that he was "steering us" towards what he wanted to sell, and absolutely no pressure.
Our options were swiftly established and concluded . When I made a mistake paying the deposit, resulting in a shortfall in the funds Walter received, there was no drama. He pointed out what I'd probably done wrong, and suggested an easy way to settle it when the final balance was paid. When we requested a change to the itinerary (after paying the deposit) he swiftly and happily obliged - no "booking amendment fees", just an addition to the final bill exactly equating to the cost of the extra night we'd added. The itineraries themselves were fully personalised with day-by-day details at each stage. Walter then kept us regularly up to date with Covid entry requirements for each country as the situation changed.
Walter provided us with his and a colleague's contact details for the full duration of our holiday - not that we needed it. Everything ran like clockwork and exactly as described. We hoped for our dream holiday: thanks to Walter our hopes were not just met, but exceeded.

Well organized
Mathew was awesome and he was very responsive anytime during the planning and also during our trip. It was very easy to work with him in planning the entire 12 day trip in 2 countries. Good thing is he is able to plan our trip in both Kenya and Tanzania. He met us in Nairobi when we landed there as part of our trip. Good to know that you are in good hands during the trip. Only suggestion is to share the air strip names early so that we know how far is that. I didn't know to ask that detail.
In Tanzania our guide was Razzaq. He was very nice and friendly. He was able to show us animals we want to see and he took us to see the Crossing in time. He was following rules very well and giving enough space for animals and not disturbing them. I would highly recommend Razzaq to any one traveling to Tanzania. Very knowledgeable about animals and birds.
Our guide in Kenya was Timothy. Wonderful guide. Even though he was little mellow, he was able to take us to see whatever animals he want to show us. He took us to see Cheetah in one trip and Leopards in another trip.
Definitely recommend Mathew and his team for your trip to Kenya and Tanzania.

Experience the best parks, easy and simple
I been planning on going for another safari for the last few years and finally managed to go again this year. I been looking for various destinations but decided to go to Kenya once more, this time around I wanted to experience different parks. Direct Kenya Safari had a set tour that already sounded good but I wanted to change some parts of the trip. After few emails back and forth playing around with different parks and length of stay I found my trip. Tsavo East, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and finishing up at Masai Mara.
I decided for budget tour and was already happy of having luxury of having a bathroom. While sceptical at first about minivan rather than land cruiser, I was very happy with the comfort.
The driver had to deal with myself, crazy photographer... Stay... Move forward a bit... Can you move back.... Stop... Perfect. Now let's stay here for 1hour... He was very patient and kept eyes and ears open to ensure that I get to see the animals I was after and got the shot. On top he had great knowledge of the animals as well as about Kenya.
So all in all, easy to deal with and a great experience.
If I could change anything... Maybe spend more time in 2 parks rather than exploring 4,just to avoid long drives. Same time the parks differ a lot from one another.
Loved the Voi Safari Lodge with an amazing view from the restaurant.
