Most amazing and exciting experience ever!
5/5

We did a 4 days safari with Safari Bando on May 2019 (middle range safari). We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and tarangire. Safari was, in one word, WONDERFUL! Everything was perfect

We had a good price for the offered services, Justice was always available. So, choose Tanzania and Safari Bando and you will have a wonderful nature experience. Serengeti will remain in your mind forever!

Highly recommended for your trip to Tanzania

Once in a Lifetime Experience
5/5

I had a great experience seeing and watching and being part of an African Safari. We did the Kenya/Tanzania Safari Tour package which can only be described as awesome. Animals previously only see in movies or on TV we actually saw face to face, lion gigantic elephants, hippos and Zebras right there in front of us. It was really a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks to the team at East African Safari for organizing this kind of tour package for us.

Great Trip - would do it again!

Visited in early May for 4-5 days on Safari. Tresmania Lodge was fine, a bit rustic but enjoyable overall. Food was very good. Enjoyed the Monkeys and all the wildlife in the area. Guides were very good. Very little down time as we were kept busy. Would do it again if I could find the time!

About: Botswana
Amazing but now the government has reinstated elephant killing - tragic
Overall rating
3/5

We chose Botswana as a destination worthy of the additional expense due to their conservation and reputation. Safari Bookings and Desert and Delta were both top notch with excellent service. Tragically however the government has just reinstated elephant killings. These are smart and emotionally intelligent animals that understand who is attacking them. This is a safety issue in addition to the vulnerable status of African elephants. We will not return or support the decision to reinstate elephant killing.

We had the Kalahari and Okavango all to ourselves with Kalahari Skies.
5/5

I searched the reviews for safaris on Safaribookings and followed their advice. Eddy Everaerdt of Kalahari Skies got back to us quickly. His advice was spot on. He suggested that if our time was flexible we should consider late May rather than busy July. He said that it sounded like we would like a mobile safari rather than being in the lodges. It turned out that the airfare was much cheaper in May. It was late Fall in Botswana. He asked me to tell him what I hoped to see, so I sent him my wish list. He designed a 15 day mobile safari for my wife and me. It turned out far better than any of our expectations!

Kalahari Skies took care of all of the arrangements, except airfare. I told Eddy that I would like to meet some Bushmen, see animals, learn about the natural environment, see the central Kalahari as well as the Okavango delta, and see Victoria Falls. It all happened for us!!! The tents with en-suite shower and toilet were the most comfortable camping experience of our lives! Eddy has the best camping spots scoped out. We had two nights in lodges and one in a hotel the rest was camping. We stayed 3 nights in Central Kalahari Game preserve, and two nights each in Moremi, Khwai, Savuti, and Chobe.

We started at a Thakadu Lodge in Ghanzi for our Bushman experience. It was beyond excellent! Bushmen took us on a walk, showed us various plants, explained some tracking and made a fire in a few minutes with sticks. That evening they put on an intimate dance and song performance. We had a surprise visit to the vulture restaurant which is not to be missed!

Although the Okavango is extraordinarily rich with wildlife, my favorite was the perfect remoteness of the Central Kalahari.

Eddy knows his animals and birds and was able to answer our many questions with great expertise. Even if you are not a birder, the birds of Botswana will make you want to be one.

During the trip every meal was prepared for us. Everyone showed great concern that we have what we wanted. Eddy noticed that we were drinking something we hadn't mentioned and immediately stocked up. He noticed that I liked hot sauce and made sure that there were several for me to choose from. Each home cooked dinner had a starter, soup or salad, main course and a dessert. All were very, very good, some were downright amazing.

Eddy is from Belgium and speaks French, German, and very good English. He also has native Botswana guides, Nueman, Gideon, and Mott who are fluent in English. Mott also speaks German. They all lead safaris.

Eddy's wife, Manu, was along, in charge of the kitchen for most of our trip. She is an inspired cook. We also had two wonderful Botswana, Mateo and Ez, preparing meals and camp. All four work as a team and were a joy to travel with making each camping site a relaxing and comfortable experience.

Our guide was an expert at knowing where to locate the animals and the wealth of wildlife we were able to see from lions, leopards and cheetah to honey badgers, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, and eagle owls was amazing!!! When you are in the vehicle you are safe yet able to get very close.

Kalahari Skies made all of our arrangements for Victoria Falls as well. They have local guides in Zimbabwe and, I am sure, Zambia. They also do safaris in Namibia.

We highly, highly recommend Kalahari Skies and their mobile safari experience!!!

Excellent! Highly professional and experienced. Trip of a lifetime came true!

Direct contact with a local company that tailored our safari to meet our wishes is the best approach. We had an excellent, capable driver and guide, Donna Katesi, who kept us to our schedule but made sure we saw it ALL! Her enthusiasm, knowledge and energy was amazing. As 3 women travelling with her, we always felt safe throughout this great adventure.
We caught up with Paul Nangai during our safari and we were very impressed with the attention given to the clients. Accommodation at Pakuba Lodge in Murchison was excellent and a great location for getting into the park early.

Over the top adventure in Kenya
5/5

This service was incredible. The pre=trip communication with assistance and answers to questions was prompt and invaluable. Our guide had better than 20/20 vision and spotted animals for us at amazing distances, then drove as close as possible for photographic opportunities. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about the animals and knew all their names and habits, including the birds. The attitude of all personnel involved was friendly, courteous and definitely pampering. Accommodations and dining were wonderful. Our schedule could be flexible for the most part per our wishes. Didn't want to come home!! You will love these people.

An amazing experience with a friendly staff, who do their very best to please their guests!
5/5

We had the chance my wife and myself to go on a Safari tour in June 2019, but haven’t book anything till last moment (which I don’t advise to do as you might not find anything in high season). Thankfully the Hotel owner knew Safari Partner manager who booked us a Safari for the next day. Frédérique picked us up 5:30am as agreed from our hotel and we went to Mikumi park.
We spent the whole day there and enjoyed every moment of the trip, nature chose what it shows from its beauty and that day we saw plenty of it ! We were like kids swing all these beautiful creatures in their natural environment. we also enjoyed Safari Partner Fred and Moussa who accompanied us that day were very friendly and literally went that extra mile to make sure you get a great experience, plus you could feel Fred is passionate about his work and the wildlife. He is very knowledgeable and explained is so many things about the extraordinary variety of species we have contemplated. The managed everything, from the entrance admin process, breakfast and lunch breaks, and to us back to the hotel. They do not rush you when you want to spend some times here and there, or take photos, it felt like was was doing a safari with a bunch of friends.
If you want to book your safari with peace of mind I strongly recommend them !

As Excellent the 2nd Time as the 1st
5/5

I engaged Ale Olivieri at Wandering Thru for the second time to create for me a unique and wonderful safari. Once again Ale delivered in a big way. She suggested Mana Pools National Park and Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe which were both just outstanding. Ale knew I wanted to do some walking safaris and in both parks I was able to do that. The two camps Ale recommended we stay (Nyamatusi Camp at Mana Pools and Somalisa Expeditions in Hwange) were both exceptional. Each are part of the Africa Bush Camps and I could not have been more pleased with the location, service and incredible staff of each camp. Since Ale had relationships with the camp guides already it made for an even more enjoyable time and learning experience. Ale understands what I want and like and makes very appropriate recommendations based on that. I feel she listens to me and cares very much that I have the best of times. She is such a pleasure to be with also and her knowledge and expertise never cease to amaze me. I am biased but Ale has earned my deepest respect and praise. Contact Wandering Thru for the best of experiences.
