I booked a solo trip with Bush2City for the 12 day Best of Kenya and Tanzania Safari. I had done a ton of research on various tour company options and selected Bush2City based on reviews from other travelers. This trip was stunning - I am a photographer and got so many amazing shots of the terrain and animals. It was truely a life changing experience. The Serengeti balloon ride gliding over the tree tops. Watching the elephants and the graceful giraffes. My guides, Jaime and Danforth, were kind, very well informed as I the one who asks tons of questions and both great people! They made this trip wonderful. Jackson was an amazing organizer! Highly recommend!!

5 days Uganda Safari
We had a wonderful time going on Safari with our super guide Herbert who made a huge positive difference in our tour. The director Nicholas helped us with the itinerary where he did very well. The trip was well planned and we were given a sturdy reliable 4x4 vehicle. Herbert knowledge of wildlife, birds and culture is vast from the way he answered our questions with detailed explanations.
We also liked our accommodations which served great food. Very clean too and professional staff.

Excellent tour operator
We did a 5 days safari with Chaz Tours and Travel from April13-17, which included the Masai Mara, Hell's Gate, Lake Nakura and a half-day hike at Longonot.
We had an amazing experience with them from the planning phase until our departure. Martin, the tour consultant, responded almost immediately to all my emails when I was planning the trip and was very helpful and positive in all of our correspondence (even though I asked a ton of questions!).He was also very accommodating and flexible with the trip. We're very active people so wanted to add a hike at Longonot. They allowed us to do 4 days as part of the small group and then arranged another driver so that we had 1 day on our own. We just modified the schedule so that we had less "down time" and managed to fit in Longonot without missing out on anything. It cost a bit extra but sure was worth it!
The company also picked us up from the airport and brought us back there, even though our arrival and departure dates were different than the trip dates! My boyfriend and I arrived at different times. They picked us both up and even got him from the hotel so he could be there to greet me since I hadn't seen him in months. (Extra airport trips cost a reasonable $20).
As for the safari.... WOW! That was absolutely incredible! We saw all of the Big Five and our driver sure worked hard to make sure that we saw as much as possible! We saw hundreds of animals every day! All the safari companies appear to do the same things when in the parks and the drivers work together to find the best animals, so I doubt the experience will be much different if you use a budget company vs a high end one. I think the main difference will be in the hotels and food you get. We were very happy with the eco camp and the hotels. The food was very good in some places and just okay in others (a lot of the same things served), but for the price we paid, we were very, very happy with it and it was much better than we expected.
If you go to Hell's Gate, I highly recommend biking and doing the hike at the Gorge. They were amazing! Just be sure to know whether or not the hike is included in the price you pay before you get there.
I highly recommend Chaz Tours and Travel if you want a great safari experience with friendly and reliable staff (if you don't need 5 star hotels or food). They were great... especially Lawrence who got us from the airport, hiked with us at Longonot and sent us some amazing photos from our hike! I spent many hours researching companies before I went and I'm so happy I chose this one. I would certainly use them again if I ever go back to Kenya. Thanks so much to Martin, Lawrence and our safari driver for making this such a great experience!!!

A truly amazing experience
At first I was very skeptical booking an expensive holiday online. It was a 'Trip of a Lifetime' with my 2 daughters. After a lot of research, I found Kylie at Kruger Park Travel. We corresponded by e-mail and my confidence was quickly restored. She organised the most perfect holiday. All the accommodation, internal flights and transfers were without a hitch and always on time. The Safari at Distinctly Africa's Manyaleti Camp was amazing. The experience could not have been better. Perfect from Start to Finish!
From the time that I emailed Features through Safari Booking, choosing Features was a great idea. Karanja was quick and precise with his response, providing the perfect itinerary for the best price. He was able to take our basic package and add on a day in Nairobi with a great day trip to Nairobi National Park and the Giraffe Sanctuary to accommodate our late morning flight arrival. He additionally recommended the 4x4, which was the best way to go! Comfortable and we were able to get through any terrain! We say many vans that were getting stuck. Well worth the extra few bucks.
Besides Nairobi National Park, we went to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara. I cannot recommend this itinterary enough. From seeing elephants beneath Kilimanjaro, to the Flamingos and Rhinos right next to Lake Nakuru, to the Cheetah and Lion and Masai Mara, everything was perfect.
The best part was definitely our guide, Antony, who was extremely knowledgeable and more than accommodating. He took the time to learn what we wanted to see and was able to adjust our daily activities to fit in as much as possible, which was definitely unexpected. We loved everywhere he took us, especially Umbutu on the way to Lake Nakuru. This is a must stop for lunch to learn about the amazing work they do to help the women and children of Kenya. Antony made our trip!
Will be looking to use Features Africa again in the future!
