Exceptional Safari
5/5

The safari that my wife and I went on for nine days was exceptional. The accommodation was excellent, and I am happy to thank our fantastic guide, Charles, who made the trip. His knowledge of wildlife is extraordinary; he was informative, patient, intuitive, caring, and an excellent driver. From start to finish, the organisation was first-class and exceeded our expectations.

Happy & adventurous days with Francis!
5/5

Francis is such an amazing guide. He welcomed us with his big smiles and he made the safari a real adventure thanks to his deep passion for animals and the landscape. Moreover, he's a great driver, which is really important in more challenging roads such as at Masai Mara.
Thanks Francis for this fantastic experience!

Professional and caring company made our Safari just perfect!
5/5

I started planning our family (3 girls in the ages of 24, 19, 15) travel more than 2 months before the trip. Joseph, our travel agent from Morning Star provided all the information I needed (through numerous iterations) to create the right Safari trip for us. Joseph responded at any time to every question and tried to say Yes on almost every request. Our start was challenging when we realized at the airport we need a Visa before our flight. Joseph was amazingly helpful to get our (late) applications (took forever on the government website) approved in less than an hour. Since we missed our flight, and took only few hours later, Joseph arranged an hotel for us on our arrival (near the airport so we can sleep properly) and a driver to pick us up. He even came by himself to welcome us at the airport and make sure everything goes smoothly.
The Safari itself was amazing, all the 4 reserves Joseph recommended were perfect (Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and of course Maasai Mara). Our driver, James, was so friendly that we became friends. He is also a professional and identifed every animal and even every bird we saw (verified on the book :). He attended all our needs and all our requests for games drives and stops. When we had a delay and afraid to miss our lunch in Sofa Lodge Nakuru, Joseph again proved resourceful and arranged an alternative lunch in the sister lodge in Naivasha. He even made all the arrangements required to get us on time for our flight to Zanzibar after an early breakfast before we left the lodge. Joseph kept checking if we need anything and was there to resolve even minor issues.
This was one of the best trip our family had and we know we will return back to Kenya. Joseph, from Morning Star will get our first call!

Martin is prompt and efficient; a pleasure to work with.
5/5

My partner and I have taken many safaris in East Africa but this was our first time to Botswana and we loved the country and our safari. Sleeping in the tents on the mobile safari was thrilling with the sounds of hippos and lions at night. The food was varied and excellent. We seemed famished after a morning of photography and fell on the skewers of beef and potato salad like hungry leopards. Everything on the tour was well organized. This was our first mobile safari trip and we were astounded at the value and high level of guiding. Pilot, Kingfisher’s chief guide really throws his heart into searching out unusual wildlife sightings. He knows the landscape of the Okavango Delta intimately.

Going above and beyond to make your dream come tru
5/5

This trip had been our childhood dream and Nature In Spirit went above and beyond to make it exceed even our wildest dreams in terms of quality and how much we were able to see.

All locations that Nature In Spirit assisted us in choosing, such as visiting North and Central Serengeti, as well as where we stayed, were all amazing. The food, the rooms, the service, the game drives, our guide, the snacks in the car, everything was just perfect. Can't even imagine something to improve.

Nature In Spirit didn't just help in the trip planning, but also throughout the trip they were always making sure that all was going great. The attention to detail, such as giving us sim cards for us to have a way to make calls and have internet without the need for wifi or letting us borrow binoculars, was all just awesome. Will definitely recommend to everyone who asks me about my trip to make sure to use Nature In Spirit when visiting Africa.

About: Namibia
A huge and wonderful experience … !
Overall rating
5/5

We loved Namibia. We did an 11-day self-drive tour booked through Dunas Safari who did us proud. Namibia is a huge country and long distances between stops but Dunas paced it beautifully. We loved the dramatic countryside and the beautiful people and the sunsets . And the wildlife was amazing; we saw everything except for the Leopard … ! Highlights were Sossusvlei and Etosha and the two nights we spent at Spitzkoppen Lodge were magic. We were in Namibia for only 11 days and we realised that we only just scratched the surface. We would love to come back and do more. Thank you, Dunas and thank you, Namibia … !

About: Uganda
Fun trip, great people, beautiful country, ride bodas at your own risk!
Overall rating
4/5

Peak Cruise Safaris was able to schedule my safari at late notice and did and excellent job.

Jen picked me up from the airport and Abdul was there early the next morning to begin the journey.

Abdul with Peak Cruise Safaris did an excellent job guiding the tour through Murchison Falls. In two short days we saw plenty of elephants and giraffe, and even spotted some hyena and a leopard. He also found some great spots to eat and get coffee on the way there and back. Try the offal!

Abdul has been doing this for over twenty years, and is very good at what he does, but be prepared for fast driving including through pedestrian areas. Winding through swarms of boda-bodas can be a shock for anyone not used to driving in congested cities in developing countries.

If you choose to ride the bodas they are fun and affordable but certainly a risky endeavor. Wild Coffee in Kampala is a fun place and apparently does slam poetry on Mondays. The zoo in Entebbe is a great spot to get up close to any animals you may have missed on Safari. (They even have tigers so you can tell people you saw a tiger in Africa).

Overall, Uganda and Peak Cruise Safaris is Highly recommended.

About: Kenya
A pleasant surprise
Overall rating
5/5

It had always been a dream of ours to go on a safari and I do not regret one minute for choosing Kenya as our destination. People are extremely friendly, and they have always made us feel very welcome. We travelled both to the centre as well as south and each park had different characteristics for us to enjoy.

About: Namibia
Our 11 day route in Namibia revealed stunning variety
Overall rating
5/5

My husband, son and his wife recently completed an 11-day self-drive Safari in Namibia. Our route took us to Sesriem, Swakopmund, the Skeleton Coast and Damaraland, and finally Etosha national Park. We stayed in beautiful lodges, several and national parks, all along the way.

We began the trip with the other worldly landscapes of Sossusvilei, where we climbed the dunes and marveled at scenery we have never seen before. The lodge was comfortable and the food was good. It was a wonderful introduction to Namibia. From there we took the terrible road through Solitaire up to Swakopmund but our Toyota fortuna was up to the task and we arrived in good time and good shape. In Swakopmund, we did two different tours. My husband and I did a 4x4 dune tour in Sandwich Harbor- more stunning scenery - and my son and his wife did a kayak trip with seals. Both were really enjoyable.

From there, we drove north into Skeleton Coast national Park, stopping at the Cape Cross seal colony. That was a highlight. I've seen many seals in my life, but not so many so close.

Our afternoon drive to Palmwag was a little nerve-wracking because of the sand storm covering the highway, We were rewarded for our journey with a very comfortable two nights at Etendeka Mountain Camp. We didn't see much wildlife but our guide made our hike and game drive so interesting, we enjoyed it thoroughly. This is completely different scenery from any place we had been so far. I have never seen so many stars in my life. The wonderful guides and incredible skies were real highlights of this part of our trip. I felt immersed in Namibia.

From here we drove to Etosha, which for us seem like saving the best for last, despite loving every bit of it so far. Our first night we stayed in Okaujueo. We loved our chalet, had a wonderful dinner and sunset and sunrise at the water hole were amazing. I would definitely stay here at least one night. We were only able to get one night so moved on to halali, also a government place within the park. This was not as nice, but it was fine and the water hole was gorgeous. Gorgeous. Every day we did self-game drives and saw more wildlife than we could have imagined. We stayed outside the park in a luxury villa for our last two nights and did a game drive with them that was a amazing. Our guide seem to have a sense about where the lions, leopards, and hyenas having dinner were and so we were able to add those to our list.

We all think Namibia has so much variety of activities and landscapes, that it makes a perfect vacation destination.
