Looking for the right company for a Safari? You came to the right place!

Looking for the right company for a Safari? You came to the right place!

Me and my Friend went on a private 6 day Budget Camping & Lodge Safari and it was truly incredible. Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater were our destinations and I would do exactly the same trip any time again.

Our guide Innocent and chef Dennis, aka „stomache engineer“ were truly incredible. Innocent‘s knowledge of animals and the nationals park ensured us not just seeing all of the big five but also learning a lot about animals and Tanzania itself. Dennis was waking up very early in the morning to make sure we are having incredible breakfast, lunch and dinner - everything selfmade! While other companies were having premade lunchboxes for lunch, we were having at least three different kinds if food.

From beginning to end this trip was a once in a lifetime experience and thinking back about all the memories makes me smile.

From the moment of the request until the booking the communication was always very friendly and prompt. Esther was patient and helpful for all the wishes and changes in the program we requested for. Sam was a careful and friendly driver who knew how to access the most beautiful spots. We enjoyed the safari very much!

The best experience in Safari!
5/5

This experience was really amazing!! From the beginning to the end, our guide was Kikitu, the best guide ever! He has a really good energy, made us laughing all the time and most importantly, he tried really hard to show us all the animals in the Masai Mara, so we were able to see almost everything with him. If you are going for Safari, ask for him, you will have lot of fun! He really enjoys his job and he tries to do always the best.

Absolutely amazing safari
5/5

From the booking to the actual safari itself lion king we’re superb. We really found the pre-departure information helpful and the communication about the details was always prompt and sound. The safari itself was amazing. Enock our guide was extremely able and knowledgeable and seemed to instinctively know where to search for animals. We saw loads and several close up, including elephants, cheetahs and lions. The accommodation were really special and we especially like being in the tented camp on the Serengeti. The cooked picnic lunches were lovely each day and we always seemed to have a great picnic spot.
If you are thinking about a safari then lion king is a great professional company to go with.

The best Safari tour company in Tanzania
5/5

We had the trip of our lifetime! Mr Ezra organized everything, from our flight, to pick up, to hotels and the tour with a driver and guide (Proches).
The special treat was that he flew a cake for us so we could celebrate our anniversary. The hotels he chose were amazing and I cannot recommend any other Safari tour agency. Our tour guide, Proches, was so kind and patient and stopped at the best spots for photos. He drove very carefully and we managed to go to Serengueti, Norongoro and Tarangire in 3/4 days. At the end of our tour, Mr Ezra drove us across the border to Nairobi and what impressed us the most is that 100% of what was planned was delivered. Thank you Afrinature Expeditions for such a memorable trip.

Fantastic small friendly company
5/5

We went on a 4 day Serengeti, Ngorongoro safari. Albert in the office was very quick to respond to get us the safari we wanted at a reasonable price. Nice and clear information and pricing. Our guide / driver Max was very knowledgeable about the animals / nature and we spotted lots of interesting animals close up. I was particularly happy to see lots of lions!
Max is also a very nice person to spend time with. The accommodation provided was also first class. I can def recommend this company 100%

EASY TRAVEL WILL HELP YOU HAVE THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME
5/5

We spent a lot of time researching safari tour companies using safaribookings.com, but there are so many companies it's hard to tell which one to use. In the end we opted for Easy Travel and I'm so glad we did. We chose Easy Travel because they are owned by a Tanzanian family and we wanted to use a service that was invested in the local economy and environment. They were also very well reviewed, have received numerous awards, and have very high standards for their driver guides. I cannot recommend Easy Travel enough - they were a real joy from the planning stages to the safari itself, and we feel so fortunate to have worked with them.

From the onset, I was impressed by how quickly Voice from Easy Travel got back to me and worked to customize a 6 day, 5 night safari that would meet our goals and fit into the rest of our travel plans. From the planning stage through the safari itself, Voice was incredibly helpful and communicative. I felt like we were in great hands and trusted that we would be well taken care of.

From the moment we landed at Kogatende in the Northern Serengeti, we were in the capable hands of Simone, our driver guide. We could not have been more fortunate! Simone is an experienced (20+ years) guide who shared a wealth of knowledge about the animals, their habitat, the Tanzanian geography and landscape, and Tanzanian culture. He was great at spotting the animals, but his talents didn't end there; Simone taught us about their behavior, how they interacted with each other and their environment. Each night we would collapse in blissful exhaustion from all we had seen and absorbed that day. In addition to being an incredibly thoughtful and knowledgable guide, Simone was also a wonderful traveling companion. On days we were traveling between camps or parks, we had wonderful conversations and learned so much about Tanzanian history and culture. It is a magnificent country, and I feel much richer for having had a chance to see so much of it, meet so many Tanzanian people, and learned about what life is like there. It was very hard to leave.

In terms of the tour itself - it was amazing. We began with two nights in the Northern Serengeti, then two nights in Central Serengeti and ended with a night at the Ngorongoro Crater. I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite - each were really wonderful. We did a "comfort" level tour which meant we were in tented camps for all of the stays. The camps were all wonderful, with comfortable beds and either good or very good food at each one. My husband and I are vegetarian and that was never an issue - every camp was accommodating. The beauty of the camps is that you're right there in the park, and many days I woke up to find a zebra or a tower of giraffe within spitting distance of the tents. They are all very safe, with walkie talkies in each tent and staff escorts if you are walking around after dark. We loved the tradition of "bush tv" - a campfire at night before dinner to talk about the day and enjoy a beverage if you're inclined. The Easy Travel jeeps are great - as comfortable as the roads allow, reliable, and stocked with water and sodas.

Over the course of the trip we saw all of the big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), the ugly 5 (hyena, wildebeast, warthog, maribu stork, vulture) and many many others, from baboons to ostrich to jackals to cheetahs and many different types of birds. In particular we saw many lions including one that was eating a zebra and two that were mating. We watched graceful giraffe and zebras, saw a croc trying to swallow a topi antelope, and observed the indecisive wildebeest as they tried to find the best place to cross the Mara River for their migration from Kenya to Tanzania. We also enjoyed a spectacular early morning balloon safari which gave us a Birds Eye view of the beautiful River and many animals in their morning routines. The balloon ride was a splurge, but we figured we'd only be there once and it was worth spending the money. Like the safari itself, it exceeded all expectations. Overall the trip was priceless, and a great value for what we spent.

We hope to go back to Tanzania with family in the next few years to share the experience with others. When we do, we will definitely be using Easy Travel again and requesting Simone as our guide.

Customer driven provider, very helpful, and very courteous!
4/5

First the positives:

1. The owner, Carol Kendi, was very patient and helpful from the very beginning and worked with me to plan our trip. She is very customer-driven and it was a pleasure to meet her in person in Nairobi. I particularly like the name of company, Kameraz of Africa, to encourage safari visitors to shoot animals through camera lenses and not through the barrel of a gun! Great idea! Keep up your zeal in this effort!

2. The tour guide, Kioko, was OUTSTANDING. He was knowledgeable and thorough and went out of his way to ensure we had all the opportunities to see as many wild animals living free in their environment, including watching 3 cheetahs hunting a small antelope. I particularly appreciate the effort he put in so that we could observe and photograph Craig, the giant tusker, in the Tsavo Conservancy next to Amboseli National Park. We also appreciate the wonderful conversations we had on a variety of topics during the long drives between the different parks. He gave us a window into life as it exists in Kenya. And we also appreciate the extra driving he had to do to go back to Lake Nakuru National Park to collect our passports and money that we had left behind in our room.

3. Visits to Amboseli National Park (NP), Masai Mara NP, and Lake Nakuru NP were excellent. Loved every minute we spent there.

4. The lodges at Lake Naivasa, the Sawela Lodge, and Lake Nakuru, the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, were SUPERB. Wish we could have spent an additional night at Nakuru. They had great scenery, great food, excellent staff, and very luxurious rooms. They were very peaceful places.

Now, the not so positive things:

1. The lodge at Amboseli, the Amboseli Sopa Lodge, was OVERALL good. The food service was very clean and the food very flavorful. The staff were very, very helpful. There was no pressure to tip anyone which made it easier to give tips where necessary. The area around the lodge was very peaceful with a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The only negative was that the room itself was very AVERAGE.

2. The lodge at Masai Mara, the Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, was very POOR. The room was small, the bathroom was tinier and there were large crawling insects coming in through the drain pipe every night that I had to collect and throw out. The food was quite poor and both of us got sick enough that we were less than well through the rest of our journey. The worst part of it was that there were so many Masai people who wanted to be tipped. There was so much pressure to give tips to people who just sat there and provided no service. Lastly, there were tour groups from Iran who made so much noise with their loud music that it was hard to sleep and yet the staff on duty did nothing to curb their behavior. Hope this lodge is never used by this fine company in future safaris.

3. We got no value out of Lake Naivasa NP and Aberdare NP. If we knew as much as we know now, we would have instead gone to Tsavo National Park.
