The best
5/5

I was very hesitant to make the payments prior to my arrival, it is a large amount and you don't know if it is a company you can trust. In the end everything turned out perfect, they are in contact via WhatsApp all the time! They are responsible and honest, our guide Nico made us have a wonderful safari, he made an effort to look for the animals and move at our pace, he made suggestions and explained very well about the animals and the parks. At first we were in a slightly old van, but they changed it that same day for a newer one, where there were connections to charge your phone right in front your sit. The lodges were beautiful, the food very delicious. I would definitely book with them again.

Perfect service, nice and professional people
5/5

The trip was amazing, I still don't believe it's real as you can see all the beauty of the nature, all the animals in real life, moreover so closely. The tour was organized really well.
Daniel gave us a brief a day in advance of what to expect and what to take with us, moreover he gave us useful recommendations about Arusha.
Rocky, our guide, had a direct communication with animals as all of them appeared at the places we were driving by or were coming towards our car. With his hawk eyes spotting animals kilometres away and his knowledge about the nature and animals, our tour team got the best experience.
And additional gratitude to our Chef (with the capital "C") Musa who was preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner every day (and every time it was a set of multiple meals). And everything was so tasty that I think I put a few kilos on after the trip

Couldn'tve done it without Dennis!
5/5

This was my 1st African safari, my 1st trip outside of the North American continent thus and quite the accomplishment. If anyone knows me, there are two things I love dearly: (1) THE Ohio State Buckeyes and (2) zebras. Therefore, in the case of the latter, seeing zebras on an African safari was quite the dream come true. I initially planned to go on a Kenya/Tanzania safari; however, I fell a bit behind in paying for the trip. I fell behind enough to the point where Dennis, my travel consultant could have easily cancelled my trip. Not only did Dennis NOT cancel the trip, he and his team prepared a more financially reasonable Kenya safari attending these 8 Kenyan parks: (1) Amboseli NP, (2) Lake Navaisha, (3) Samburu NR, (4) Lake Nakuru, (5) Masai Mara NR, (6) Lake Elementaita, (7) Aberdare NP, and (8) Ol Pejeta Conservancy. With the help my driver Daniel, not only did I see plenty of zebras (to whom Daniel referred to as "my friends"), I saw the entire Big Nine, Samburu/Special Five, and the Ugly Five. During the 14 day Kenya campaign, I experienced game drives in 4 different ways: (1) by car, (2) by boat, (3) on foot, and (4) via hot balloon; the different methods helped minimize the monotony on a safari. Throughout the game drives, I let Daniel know what animals I wanted to see and he made sure to take the time to see them. Overall, the lodges I stayed at were enjoyable; the highlights being Lake Navaisha Sopa Lodge (there were literal zebras running around, best ambiance), Samburu Ashnil Lodge (best dining experiences and best room), and Zebra Plains Masai Mara Lodge (best overall physical property presentation). I cannot thank Dennis, Daniel, and Morningstar Safaris enough for how well they treated me. They were well in their right to have cancelled my trip; but instead they did everything they could to make this trip a success. As a result, with better planning on my end, I anticipate planning a Tanzania safari with Dennis and Morningstar!

All round great experience
5/5

The tour company was very engaged, the manager picked us up, took us to the hotel then provided an excellent briefing on what to expect. Our tour guide was a master at spotting wildlife and very knowlegeable, providing us with both great viewing and a great education. The camps varied from quite fancy to glamping - big tents each with their own bathroom including shower.

Every park we visited offered something of its own, they were all worth visiting. And while we did not see the migration across the Mara river, the wildebeest lined up several times to cross but chickend out, it was still a great day. Getting the opportunity to watch a cheetah hunt successfully was one of the highlights of the trip.

Our last night was at a camp run by the Massai, what a great experience! They offered different activities, spear throwing, singing, hiking, all very fun and worth doing.

Perfectly Put Together
5/5

Zim worked in conjunction with our Tanzania tour operator Sursee Safari's, to put together a epic 18 day safari.
It combined Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls.
Blessing our transfer guide made sure everything went smoothly, watched out for my 78 year old mother, and added bungee jumping for my 21 year old daughter at the last minute at Victoria Falls, and still made everything work out effortlessly.
My highest thanks

More than expected !!!
5/5

I had a great time & experience in Tanzania!
Full of great scenery, a lot of animals, warm heart people...
Although I faced a lot of troubles, all the people helped me quickly, smoothly.
Anouk gave me many advices before Tanzania trip, so I felt relived and could join this tour without any concerns.
Lazzaro is a professional driver, safe, kind, quite reliable.
All the accommodations are very exciting, especially Lake Manyara. I could meet a lot of animals closely on site!
Long driving is tough, but there's something else to gain other than that!!!!

About: Botswana
A must see safari destination
Overall rating
5/5

This was our first trip to Africa and to Botswana. Words fail to describe the beauty and abundance of wildlife in the Okavango Delta.
We stayed in two camps at the beginning of October. There was still plenty of water in the delta and abundant wildlife.
Botswana is very hot at this time of year, 42c at lunchtime. However the heat did not affect us much as during the morning and late afternoon game drives the temperature is much cooler. We slept through the hottest part of the day.
Our first camp was Xakanaxa in the Moremi Concession. We cannot speak highly enough of this camp. The location is superb, just in the banks of one of the deltas many channels. All of the staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our guide, Kadi, was knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure we saw all of the animals we had hoped. On one drive we covered 50km to track down a Cheetah, which was amazing.
Around the camp there are may different habitats and the landscape is always changing and so do the animals. There are too many to list, but we saw everything we had hoped for.
Our second camp was Camp Okavango, which was a short plane ride into the heart of the delta. Again the camp was wonderful, built on suspended boardwalks amongst palm trees on the banks of the delta.
All the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. King our guide for both walking game drives and boat cruises was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Walking game drives are a must, while you cannot get a close to the animals as on a driven game drive, for obvious safety reason, walking the in Botswanan bush gives a feeling of incredible authenticity and shows the true scale of the delta.
We spent a total of 5 nights on safari and completed 10 game drives. Before setting off on holiday we wondered if that was long enough, in hindsight it was. The experience is magical but quite intense and we found 5 days to be about right, for us.
We booked our safari through Discover Africa, who were incredibly helpful and professional. Our advisor Antoinette, made many great suggestions and really helped us define the right safari for us.
The camps themselves are run by Desert and Delta who again, were superb.
In summary having wanted to visit the Okavango Delta for many years it has exceeded our expectations at every turn, a truly magical experience.
