All's well that ends well
We booked our Tanzanian Safari by Wilson Tanspirit. There should be a better communication before starting and it would be nice to consider some wishes of the client but at the end everything was alright.
The safari was at least really well organized especially we had an excellent guide and driver (Jeff). The lodges (***/****) were nice, the staff was always friendly and the meals really good. We have never seen so many animals before and the migration at Mara River was exciting. Thank you to our guide Jeff who had an built-in radar for predators

Meijo will ensure you have the best possible Safari experience whilst also embracing local culture
My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon by booking a private 7-day ‘the Best of Serengeti Mid-Range Safari’ tour with Meijo Safaris from 2 to 8 October, this included Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park (N.P), Materuni Waterfalls and Kikuletwa Hot Springs (including some great views of Mount Kilimanjaro). Overall, my wife and I had an absolutely incredible experience in Tanzania and are very grateful to Daudi and our tour guides Jordan (Days 2-5) and Godfrey (Day 6) for making this once in a lifetime experience as memorable as it was. The people we met on our journey, including Jordan and Godfrey, were a real highlight of our trip, not only for what we saw (and we saw the Big 5 - Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo), but how they made each day special. We felt completely safe and comfortable during our whole experience, both drivers were professional and knew the roads well. We had our own private 4x4 for the Safari experience which was very comfortable and safe and Meijo organised a “Just Married” wheel cover for the back of the vehicle which was a real special touch for us. Our meals and drinks throughout the day were all included (and we drank quite a few beers each day!). There were literally dozens of bottles of water in the car which were replenished each day, so there was no risk of dehydration! The meals were not packed sandwich boxes but were warm lunches which varied from roast chicken, pasta bolognese, stir fried chicken or beef, which were to the envy of our tour groups.
We would recommend Meijo Tours to anyone contemplating a visit to Tanzania, it was truly a memorable experience.
I started doing some research a few months ago to locate a reputable tour company and initially used Safaribookings.com and then TripAdvisor to help with our decision. I was initially apprehensive about finding the right company for our Safari as this was the first time either of us had been on a Safari and our first time in Tanzania. Daudi from Meijo was very responsive to all of my email queries (at least 10 emails!) and WhatsApp messages. We arranged a call with Daudi via WhatsApp to talk through the planned itinerary and ensure we were able to have any final questions answered and this was all a very smooth process. We paid a 12.5% deposit via electronic funds transfer and paid the balance upon Arrival in Arusha.
Our accommodation for our trip was all organised by Meijo as follows:
Day 1 - Karibu Heritage House, Arusha,
Day 2 - Farm of Dreams Lodge - Karatu,
Day 3 - Serengeti Safari Lodge, Serengeti N.P
Day 4 - Serengeti Safari Lodge, Serengeti N.P
Day 5 - Tulia Boutique Hotel, Arusha
Day 6 - Panone Hotel King’Ori Kilimanjaro Airport
Meijo upgraded us to the Farm of Dreams for Day 2 given this was our honeymoon, as this is usually a Luxury accommodation. This was by far the best accommodation we stayed in. The others were mid-range, clean and the food was good so we had no complaints. The Serengeti Safari Lodge rooms were surprisingly well constructed and comfortable despite their location in the middle of a National Park; better than expected. Despite being in the middle of the Serengeti, we felt safe with the 24 hour Masai security who patrolled the lodges and escorted all guests to and from their lodges to the main reception/dinner hall.
I’ve included some more details regarding our trip below to help those who are planning their Safari adventure. Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park are all very different. Lake Manyara provides more of a Jungle experience, whereas the crater is a small version of Serengeti. Serengeti was clearly the highlight and so I would prioritise this if you are short on time, but whilst you are in the areas, doing both the crater and Lake Manyara is the wise choice, particularly given they are both on the way to Serengeti, so you could do one on the way there and one on the way back to break up the journey.
Our tour started with a day trip to Lake Manyara National, Park, where we spent around 6 hours exploring. We saw countless birds, baboons, various monkeys, warthogs, wandering elephants on the road (which were the highlight!), Antelopes and it was a great way to start of tour.
Our second day in Ngorongoro Crater started early where we arrived at around 10am. This was was a real highlight as we saw a male and female lion on their ‘honeymoon’, a number of Lionesses, Zebras, Wildebeests, Osterich, Jackals, Warthogs, pink Flamingoes, Hippopotamuses, Elephants, a Rhino (albeit from quite some distance) and Buffalo. We left the crater at around 2pm for the long and bumpy journey to Serengeti N.P. We had our late afternoon/early evening game drinks through Serengeti N.P and saw countless Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Wilderbeests, Eagles and Buffalo.
During our remaining time in Serengeti N.P on Day 3 and 4 we saw countless Lions (at least 50 in different areas), hundreds of Hippopotamuses, crocodiles, Elephants, Cheetahs. Our tour guide Jordan just knew where to take us and at the right times to ensure we had the best experience and we are extremely grateful! The drive back to Arusha from Serengeti was long however Jordan helped to make this as smooth as possible with a regular stops and photo opportunities, including at the Ngorongoro crater viewpoint.
We also made a last minute booking for the hot air balloon experience which was good, but given the cost and the limited time in the air (about 45mins), it’s not something we would highly recommend. We didn’t see many animals from the balloon (some Giraffes, Zebras and Elephants) so it was really more from the landscape, which personally, is better seen from ground level.
The final day of our tour we visited Materuni Waterfalls and Kikuletwa Hot Springs, where we also took some great photos of Mount Kilimanjaro. This part of the tour really exceeded our expectations and we would encourage anyone who is thinking about doing a Safari, to also add this onto your ‘must do’ list as it was a real cultural experience for us, meeting the locals of the Materuni village, particularly the Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour.
Thank you again to Meijo Tours for helping make our Honeymoon an experience we will never forget and one that we will be encouraging all of our friends to book!
Asante sana!

Perfectly organized excellent Safari Experience in Kruger and Sabi Sands
Had an excellent week Safari in Sabi Sands and Kruger, which is a great combination for wildelife viewing.
Rochelle organized everything for me from Johannesburg Airport and back, and was very helpful with her quick responses while planing my trip beforehand. Even after a short term change of my arriving day, she was just amazing rebooking the whole trip in short time!
The service, hospitality and quality of the Lodges were incredible and beyond my expectations. I had a lot of really good wildlife sightings and very knowledged and experienced guides.
Looking already forward to my next trip with SafariLife!!!

TOP Notch - Rufus Takes Care
Rufus values his customers experience! I found that he does everything in his power to make sure that we had a great safari. He truly cares for each of us and we have become great friends. He and his staff are not just drivers - but become a part of the safari experience. His knowledge about locations that we went and the animals that we saw is excellent. I would highly recommend Cspan Tours and Travel!

Professional, Polite and Perfect Trek and Safari Partner.
Off all the countries I have traveled so far, Tanzania has been the best experience of my life. And all this has happened because we chose Major as our Treekking and Safari Partner.
Here are the reasons you should be choosing Major for your trek or Safari needs:
1. Great trekking crew, we were 3 trekkers and we had these team of 13 member crew with us. They made sure we Summit to the Kilimanjaro and provided excellent support.
2. Safari experience was also amazing, we got to see the best of wildlife.
3. Competitive pricing was provided to us for all the experiences, and probably the best in the market.
Last but not the least, Major's owner Arnold is a great guy, always smiling and always helpful. There never was dull moment in our 12 days vacation.

Augustine is very experienced and talented at finding animals and accommodating customers.
Seven Wonders was very accommodating about customers staying at different places, being on time, and making us comfortable. Augustine M. is a very experienced guide who can see things far away that I would never see. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great safari experience. 7 Wonders is very reliable and a good value.

Morris out tour driver was excellent company.
We had a wonderful safari. First lake Nakuru, then Masei mara. We, two parents and two girls (8 and 12 years), enjoyed our trip with Balu Travel and Morris very much. We saw all the animals we had hoped to see and seeing the Masei village certainly left a lasting impression. Morris was really delightful company. We talked when there was something to talk about and we also had long periods of silence when we were just driving - that suited us perfectly!
Morris was insightful and we had many great discussions about animals, the Masei people and Kenya in general.
