OMG - the most awesome self 4wd drive experience superbly provided by Shaw Safaris in Nth Tanzania
Life changing and forever enhancing journey; fully supported by Erika and Paul (and their fantastic team) who's offering and service is 2nd to none.
We learnt quickly that a self drive in this area is not a soft option - there are very good reasons why they only use very robust 4wd landrovers; the roads are a big part of the adventure. Because the Itinerary that we worked with Shaw out took us well off the beaten track - a superb circle through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Lake Ndutu, the Serengeti, Rift Valley and Lake Natron. We camped in the most awesome places, only us, huge views and lions roaring to let us know they knew we were there.
Shaw Safaris Landrovers are in top condition, fully serviced before each trip; and the safari is carefully worked out with all National Park permits purchased in advance by Shaw (a huge advantage as the 'technicalities' of the entry exit system can be challenging). The journey we completed was tough in places - proper 4wd driving (every boys... Read more dream to 4wd drive tracks for days on days through Africa), rough camping, tiring etc - but, oh so worth the result.
The result for us - THE most amazing once in a lifetime experiences; we encountered so much wildlife, were right in the middle of the annual wilderbeest and zebra migration, and our 3 hours with 10 herds of elephants over 3 hours in Tarangeri NP was special beyond any words.
We cannot recommend Shaw Safaris enough - if you ever fancy this type of trip these are the team to help you. Oh, and staying a night or 2 before or after at Shaw's home base Twiga Lodge, Usa River, Arusha is a fabulous luxury much appreciated and well worth adding in.

It was nothing short of amazing .please keep up the good work .and thanks to my Tour Guide Mr.Najib we had quite an adventure

Guides make the difference! Choose well (as we did)
All Around Tanzania provided the trip of a lifetime for us! It seems most folk that travel to Africa love the experience. I noticed some folk rate their trip ‘Excellent’ though usually add in a few irritations
Our trip sailed smooth throughout. From the bespoke planning to the unhurried ability to share deep Africa with charm and great company.
We chose to mix up our accommodation with luxury lodges, basic tour tenting and in between mobile camps. All of them truly amazing and providing the kind of diversity and authenticity we sought.
The heading of this feedback naturally points to our guide’s ability to spot a rhino at 3 km, intuitively know where a lioness and four cubs were heading, when to leave a ‘hard to see ‘ cheetah and find a resplendent alternative cheetah only 5 minutes away. Many other instance abounded where Marco (Nada) seemed to buck the trend (and the pack) to provide a deeper, kinder and eye popping experience. Loved it

Outstanding Short Safari
We only had 3 days available, but Martin put together a fantastic game viewing itinerary including Sweetwater camp and Samburu. Everything went smoothly with Martin being an excellent guide. We saw Lions, Cheetahs and Leopards in our short time including many other animals.
I highly recommend Fede Tours and Martin.

In the entrance of Serengeti we could see thousands of animals (Wildebeests, Zebras, Gazels) from the Wildebeest migration.

The crater is full with animals. In a short time you can see a lot of different animals. It's beautiful and my favorite.

Tanzania was beautiful but the change of our travel plan by Uhuru was not nice
We visited end of February Tanzania. Wildlife, scenery and the weather was perfect. We did camping. So nothing luxury, but the tents and sleeping bags were clean. It was a great experience to hear the wild animals in the night in the near of the tents. The cook prepared amazing food for us. So Tanzania was beautiful and I recommend everyone to go for it. One thing was not nice. It was planned that we visit first Tarangire, then Serengeti and then Ngorongoro. Uhuru changed our travel plan, we visited first Serengeti and then Ngorongoro with two other tourists. In the third day the safari ended at 1 PM for us (half day!). The two other tourists went with the same SUV to Arusha on the same day. We spend the half day at the camping side. Next day another car brought us to Tarangire. This change was not nice. Uhuru informed us about the change at the first day of the safari. So we did not have a chance other than doing the best out of the safari.
