Expert, hospitable and well organized
5/5

When I searched for a tour operator for our family tour of Serengeti, I chose Ozon Light because of the clear and prompt communication, reasonable rates and great reviews. They did not disappoint, in fact they went above and beyond and were so courteous, professional, and kind. I don’t believe this level is easily found. We were very fortunate. Our contact, Winnie, was always ahead of the game in communication, reaching out prior to our flights and letting us know they were ready to pick us up. This really alleviates any anxiety. She also constantly followed up to see if we were having a good experience. I can safely say they were our trusted companion from the time we landed until we departed. They also came to introduce themselves and chat through the tour upon our arrival. In addition, our guide Molel was absolutely world class. He was always early! Always happy (even when we were late), always checking on us and he knew his craft. Such a kind and fun guy, we hope to have another tour with him again. On to the tour, from the first day, we saw all the big five, in close range. Our guide managed to be at the right place right before the leopard/cheetah moved. He somehow could see lions on top of a tree from far away. He’s that good. We were absolutely blown away by Ozon Light and encourage others to give them a try. Support this local company, they won’t disappoint.

Much more than expected!
5/5

We booked a 4 day trip, and it was very good. Much more than we expected! We saw all the big five animals. The lodges were really good and we hear that camping was also fun. The best part was our guide Damien, which had a very good knowledge of the animals and was very friendly. The way he treat the environment and the animals feels good!
We came as clients and left as a friend. Also the company was super helpful with all the questions and organise all our wishes super quick! Everything was on time! We absolutely happy to choose this company!

Beautifully structured and executed African experience
5/5

When I was first exploring the possibilities for our first safari to Africa I was overwhelmed with the possibilities. I sent off inquiries to 4 or 5 of the Top Ten travel agencies listed in travel magazines. By far, Ker & Downey was the most responsive and willing to work out the details of what we wanted to see and do during our stay. Subsequently our two week experience was amazing!

Lauren, our tour planner, created a perfect trip. She was very responsive in answering our pre-trip questions, sending us much useful information for packing, clothing, and travel requirements. She then maintained contact with us throughout the trip via WhatsApp to make sure everything was going okay. Our questions were answered by the office immediately, which is very reassuring when you are half way around the world from home.

The lodging Lauren chose was simply among the best I have experienced anyplace in the world. There are many moving parts to arrange all the transports, air flights, tour guides, etc. in visiting Africa, and K&D pulled them off seamlessly.

As to the main purpose of the trip, the wildlife, it could not have been better. I strongly suggest that you stay at a lodge using a private game reserve, such as ours at Sabi Sabi, adjoining Kruger. Lauren also chose a wonderful guide and hotel for our three days in Cape Town.

My wife and I are over 70 years old, and I confess we like a little "hand-holding" when we travel abroad. Ker & Downey, and Lauren specifically, provided us a beautifully structured and executed African experience. Give them a try.

Stellar, Hassle Free and Value for Money
5/5

Booked a 5 day experience at Imagine Africa Luxury Tented Camp through Safari Bookings with transport to and from JNB airport included.

The ability to see and compare all the options they had available was essential for me to choose the lodging and game reserve that met my expectations with the booking and paying process was simple and transparent.

When the day came, they were there to pick me up at the established time at the JNB coach station and everything was taken care of for you! The driver was very friendly and made the 6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit feel easy. Recommendation for those who are motion sickness prone is to take your tablets prior to the ride as it is long with portions of it being full of curves and A LOT of potholes.

All in all, they made my first safari experience one that was easy, enjoyable and certainly memorable!

Would book again

Mufasa did not reach our expectations of an enjoable and rewarding safari.
2/5

In general we felt that Mufasa ones we did the booking, and paid, forgot about us. We had to ask the person in charge of our trip ( Caroline) to send us the name and details of our guide-driver because she hadn't done it and it was friday afternoon and our flight was departing Europe on Sunday. At that moment she told us the rules for Masai Mara had changed and even if we had paid extra to sleep inside the park the last night so as to do an early game drive, that wasn't possible unless we paid one extra entrance ticket. It was too late to cancel the lodge for another outside the park and cheaper. It was very anoying.
On the other hand the guide-driver: Nafthali, was speaking on his mobile very often, even when he was driving uphill and the road was wet!. And when we were watching animals he rarely explained anything, unless we asked heim for information, because he was chatting on the phone or with the whatsapp.
Of course, ones the trip ended, Mufasa did not request a feedback. They were aware of their poor service!!
As a conclussion, Mufasa did not reach our expectations and was not a good value for money.

My recent adventure with Imara Africa Safaris to Amboseli National Park was an unforgettable experience with exceptional customer service, knowledgeable guides, and breathtaking wildlife encounters. The guide's expertise in spotting wildlife added a unique dimension to our journey, and we were treated to remarkable sightings of elephants and other animals. I wholeheartedly recommend Imara Africa Safaris for an extraordinary African safari that will leave you with cherished memories.

Professional - Reliable - knowledgeable - friendly
5/5

We just spent 8 days with our amazing guide Wilson from Unlimited expeditions. It took us 10 seconds to realize how lucky we were to have a guide like that! Wilson started guiding in 1991 and is amongst the top 100 guide out of around 10000 with the most experience touring the multiple national parks of Tanzania. He is also an outstanding human, father of 3 biological kids and father of 10 orphans. He is definitely a Pilar in his community and beyond. Wilson will do anything possible to make you feel comfortable and happy. We asked many questions, sometime difficult, and he always have a detail answer and explain very well. He is very passionate about is job and a very hard worker. He wanted us to see everything from every angle. He suggested many times to start the game drive early to maximise the potentiel of seeing more and it worked very much. We truely had the chance to see everything during our multi days safari. We got close enough for amazing picture without getting too close to disturb the wildlife. Maybe, there is another guide as good or almost as good as him somewhere in the country but I'm 100% sure that it is not possible to find a better guide, a better soul to share that amazing experience as a team. We will never forget you Wilson and we are locking forward to tour Tanzania with you again! We will miss you! Angela and roger
