My Third Excellent Safari Experience
I have now worked with Journeys Discovering Africa three years in a row for my safari trips to Uganda and Rwanda to see Gorillas, Chimpanzees, and Golden Monkeys. Each experience was excellent, and the communication and attention I received from Journeys Discovering Africa exceeded my expectations each time. The integrated my preferences to the itinerary while using their own experience in the field to design a trip of my dreams.... three times!!!

We wanted to plan a family safari and contacted a few companies... Lillian from Lians travel was the first to reply. All my queries were replied to asap and she made us an itinerary that suited our requirements perfectly! Our tour guide Humphrey was also great! He was always on time and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend lians travel!

Affordable, one of a kind African safari.
Hyrax Safaris met all my expectations of a nice Kenyan Safari. I really enjoyed my four-days three nights stay at the Maasai Mara. There was good communication from the tour operator on departure time and punctuality was highly observed. The driver was friendly and gave us a game drive of a lifetime. Bookings were promptly done and i got to experience a wonderful stay at the Mara Serena hotel. My favorite was the hot air balloon experience which was organised very quickly despite it not being part of my plan. I also enjoyed the Nairobi tour to some of the parks in Nairobi city. Hyrax Safaris will always be my number one choice for a lovely affordable Kenyan tour.

Considerate, careful and wonderful travel
I contacted 40 travel agencies to make quotes and plans for our trip. Naomi responded to me very fastest, She helped me plan the trips and hotels ,She arranged for us plan were very beautiful and affordable. We are going to Africa for the first time So we have many questions. Naomi is very attentive and responds to all our questions in a timely manner via email.Our English is not good, she will try our best to let us know. She arranged the itinerary for Kenya and Tanzania. The driver guide Peter can always meet our requirements. The animals and the scenery are very good, and take good care of us. During the trip to Tanzania, we had some problems with another driver. Naomi Was very quick to help us solve it. We are very grateful. If we come to Africa again, we will choose Heritage of African Jungles again.

I teared up when thanking our guides because it was such a magical experience.
From the day we were set up with Mohamed to start planning our safari we felt very happy to have chosen MegaAdventures. The planning was very easy and the communication with Mohamed was quick and to the point. We set up a safari for two and asked to be paired with 2-4 more people. The day before our safari we learned of our 2 companions on the trip which significantly cut the cost (which we had hoped for). The safari was amazing and we constantly kept talking about how we had the best guides, the best vehicles and the best cook. Our guide Ally was so professional, knowledgable and kind. He was a great driver which was important on those bad roads and he shared so many stories and interesting thoughts in addition to the many facts. We had amazing food and felt so taken care of. Camping in the Serengeti was a special opportunity and seeing the sunset with a hot cup of coffee was magical. Thanks for everything Mega!

Excellent and thoughtful service
We had the pleasure of Visiting Rwanda and Uganda this past Aug (2018). Journeys Discovering Africa helped us to tailor our trip to exactly what we desired to do. Our trip consisted of 4 four hotels, 4 major activities, 2 countries (Rwanda & Uganda), 2 regional flights, and 2 guides (one in each country). Our admin contact did a great job to inform us of what to expect at every step, sent us briefings of how to prepare and followed up with us (by phone) after each activity. At every stage of the trip we felt well looked after and very comfortable.

Maasai Mara Trip report with World Escapes
We stayed at the Olare Orok Conservancy, in Maasai Mara. The Maasai Mara one of the world’s last sanctuaries for wildlife. This is a big cat country which accounts for a lot of its popularity and overcrowding problems. However, as we discovered, apart from the migration summer period when overcrowding in the parks is a problem, the reserve is remains exceptional. The advantage of the adjoining private conservancies never have an overcrowding problem. Some actually enjoy permanent game including lots of big cats. The Olare Orak Conservancy is also very scenic with riverine woodland and has the Olare Orok and Ntiakitiak rivers, the Ntiakitiak Gorge and associated escarpment and acacia woodland. Mara North Conservancy lies above the Musiara marsh area of the main park, has the Mara river flowing through it and is surrounded by open acacia plains and riverine woodlands. Lots of wildlife but also high number of cattle in certain areas. We spent four nights and thank Ruth of World Escapes for organizing this safari.

Amazing safari with really professional guide and management team!
I really highly recommend Jocky Tours & Safaris to your budget safari in Kenya.
I was recommended by one Spanish friend and since the first e-mail to Minneh she demonstrate to be really professional and always answering all e-mail in couple of hours.
She was really patience and clear when explaining me all options of safari and always clear and fast to answer all my doubts (price, what was included, options of parks to visit, how many days).
Since the first e-mails, I was always filling really comfortable and safe to my pick for Jocky tours.
We made a small transfer few weeks before our trip to guarantee our safari, and never had problem with the transfer. Everything went well and Minneh never pressure us to make the transfer.
Me and my girlfriend we had our flight delay for 24 hours to arrive to Kenya and Minneh was always keeping track of us and made last minute changes by our request so we could made the necessary changes for our Safari. We had in the beginning the 7 days safari and because we were arriving one day late to Nairobi and we already had our trip back schedule, Minneh made all the changes request by us without charging anything extra, she also decrease the full day safari cost of the day we lost.
Our driver for the 6 days was Raymond. Really professional driver, really good guide in the Park and always listening to our most crazy request. If we want Lions, Raymond drove us to Lions or whatever we asked him.
He was always polite and really respectful of our space. If we wanted to understand a little about Kenya or other topics he was always willing to talk, but if we were tired and want some silence he really respected that. Really recommend Raymond as a driver and safari guide.
We choose the budget safari, where you sleep on tents and you share the van with more people. If you want to visit Kenya and you are traveling with limited budget this is your choice. The experience to sleep in tents and share the van are not as bad as it looks like. The experience is amazing. The places we stay are normal, but clean and comfortable and of easy access to the safari. We are a young couple but we saw a lot of families and older people with the tent option too. I highly recommend, it’s just more real than a 5 star hotel.
I´m writing this review to highly recommend Jocky Tours & Safaris for your budget safari in Kenya. Before booking with them I tried to find more reviews online but because they are local operators I could find too many. This is why I’m writing to express how satisfied my girlfriend and I were with our pick to safari operator.

I would change a couple of destinations and have 2 nights at each Lodge. Tree Tops I found lacking in service and food average.
I believe due to the historic relevance they staff rest on their laurels. We did not hear a buzzer in the room during the night, yet some of my clients saw herd of about 80 Ellies around the water hole. When I asked why the buzzer did not go the response was there was nothing. On questioning why when 80 Ellies were drinking the answer was, you saw elephants last night. We had seen 2.
I would NOT return to Tree Tops.
