Experience of a Lifetime!
From start to finish my husband and I were so impressed with Lion King Adventures. Pendo was patient, kind, very timely, and provided me with endless different itineraries to fit our needs. I was very specific about what we wanted and he always was so willing to make any changes. Our trip itinerary was perfect and I had a wonderful feeling the trip would be as well... which it was! Our week with Mwita started at the airport and he was just as excited to see us as we were him! He took us to our accommodation for the evening and picked us up the following morning to begin our trip! Mwita explained everything and was sure to let us know he wanted our feedback and suggestions as well throughout! His knowledge of the areas we traveled, the animals we saw, and superb sighting skills were amazing. So many times there would be other guides looking and Mwita was the one to spot the animal! We saw the big 5 but he was sure to focus on what mattered to us which was hippos and baby animals. It didn’t disappoint! The accommodations throughout were stunning and the staff there were welcoming and pleased to see us. The entire experience was perfect and it was such a wonderful adventure we will never forget! Thank you Mwita, Pendo, and Lion King Adventures!

Two Week Bespoke Tour Kalahari and Okavango Delta
This is so overdue, but I hope that it will encourage anyone thinking to make the leap to just do it. We had a custom-built 2 week itinerary in the Kalahari (Makgadikgadi pans) and Okavango Delta. We were a bit challenging to book for because our party included two children, one just a few months shy of her 6th birthday. The luxury safari world, as we encountered it on the internet, is not so welcoming to small people, no matter how well behaved the adults in their lives believe them to be.
Rose put together an itinerary for us, that included all of our "must-haves." We spent four full days at Camp Kalahari and it was absolutely magical. Our guide there (BK, some call him BM) was unbelievable with the kids. We had asked for a possible storytelling night at some point on our itinerary. The message got through to BK, and he did stories every night. He also sang along to our Lion King sing-a-longs (a daily occurrence). He was tremendous. Because we had children, we had to go in our own safari vehicle, so as to not disturb other guests, and to not shorten their game drives. In the first place, I imagine all the other guests were happy to miss our sing-a-longs, but in the second case, we had the opposite problem. Our jeep was always first out of camp and last to return, our longest game drive a full 10 hours! Incredibly, they never felt too long, the time just flew by. The credit goes entirely to our phenomenal guide, directed to our needs in advance of our arrival.
Our inter-camp and inter-hotel transfers were seamless. The toughest of all could have been the transfer to Livingstone, Zambia, especially as we did the trip right when COVID restrictions were coming into effect (we, without internet for nearly two weeks, were blissfully ignorant). We were met at every point by a guide who knew our names, had water and facecloths to refresh us, and who handled the (rather frightening) border crossing so professionally.
Our second camp was Little Machaba, in the Delta, and was absolutely wonderful. We had another fantastic guide, who was able to teach us about anything we would ask. From him we learned about the different grasses that grow in the rainy season, the migration patterns of the birds, and a lot about poaching prevention programs and the damage left behind by DDT. The girls learned so much from him, and he did his very best to show us as much as he could, even during days when the rain bordered on monsoon intensity.
As for Rose and her company, she was so readily available with any questions we had, and always available to provide answers and advice. I will admit that it is a bit anxiety-provoking to wire a large sum of money to an overseas company (we are in Canada) and then not have any formal ticket to show for it, but for any of you that may share this anxiety, please be reassured, a lot is being done behind the scenes. For us, all we had to do was pitch up in Maun airport on day one, and a host of guides and pilots took it from there. We travelled through Botswana and Zambia to meet people who greeted us by name and had anticipated our every need. I do not know what the next few years brings, but I cannot wait to book another trip with the Luxury Safari Company. As for travelling with children, it was absolutely fantastic and I cannot imagine seeing Africa any other way. Truly, for all that children may seem an impediment to safari travel, with the right team, it is just spectacular. Thank you to Rose and team for making it so easy to have the trip of a lifetime.

Book with Zohar for an unforgettable trip
I can not recommend Zohar tour enough. From the moment I reached out to them I knew they would make our trip amazing. Lilian is super friendly and professional and she makes you feel like you are really well taken care off.
My fiance and myself booked two tours with Zohar: A 6 day Kilimanjaro climb and a 5 days safari. Both experiences were amazing.
For Kilimanjaro, Lilian kept answering our newbies questions as we had never done anything similar before. She was very prompt in giving us advice which made the preparation for the trek a smooth affair. The trek itself was a private trek with a crew of 12 people. I cannot stress how much the crew we had did and all the hard work they do every day while keeping a smile on their faces. The crew we had (team Simba) was amazing. From the leader to the porter. They sang, smiled and made our trek such a nice experience. I had emailed Liliane about my intention to propose to my then girlfriend and they went the extra mile to provide me with a banner to ask her to marry me as well as champagne. The food on the trek was better than I could imagine. They made the proposal than extra special. If you're climbing kili ask for team Simba.
For the safari, our guide Mohamed was amazing. I have never spend time with someone with that much knowledge about wildlife. Being a bit nerdy, I loved all the nice trivia bits he kept sharing throughout the trip. Every day we got served a nice hot lunch with proper cutlery and even some wine while most group just had a packed lunch which made the experience feel very luxurious. Mohamed was great at spotting animals and we got to see a wildebeest migration, the big 4 (couldn't find a rhino) and so much more.
Overall Zohar helped us have one of our most rewarding trip.
Thank you to the entire team.

They are terrible. Very poor customer service.
They promise a lot but deliver nothing. What was meant to be a guide was just a rude semi illiterate driver who had no clue about what a guides role is, never mind that we had been promised that we would have the services of an 'experienced tour guide'. Poor customer experience. You do not get value for money. They are big on brand, but zero content.

Amazing safari!!!
Paul at Roadside Expeditions was really helpful and flexible when we were planing our trip and was really quick to respond to requests/questions.
Our driver James was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable about all the animals, birds and local history. We had a wonderful 5 day safari in Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorngoro - would definitely recommend the company to anybody!

Unique experience
We were one of the first tourists to do a safari with the Covid-19 situation. When we arrived in August we noticed how quiet it was at the airport and the hotels. The driver from Sunset made us feel welcome right away and although we were a bit worried we were happy to be in Tanzania. It truly was a unique experience. There were only few cars in the parks which gave us the best views and a lot of ‘alone time’ with the wildlife. In the lodges the service was better than ever. The staff was taking such good care of us. I am happy we did the safari. I will never forget! Thank you Sunset Adventure for taking us.

Best trip ever %100
The most wonderful trip!
We had the trip of a life time, we were picked up from dar as Salam, and drove to mikumi national park for a three day two-night safari trip. We were so lucky and saw almost everything we wanted to see from entering seeing a herd of elephants, a leopard, three lions, hippos, families of giraffes and loads of buffalos, zebras and so many more animals it was the best trip we have ever been in a will definitely never forget it. We had amazing safari guide full of energy, knowledge, laughter, he was a great driver and we wouldn’t have seen half the animals if it wasn’t for him and his amazing spotting skills. The company absolutely excelled our expectations and we will definitely be recommending them to everyone we know. Thank you again for the best trip we could have.
