About: Kenya
Travelling in Kenya can be tiring because of the long road trips, but it definitely worth it !
Overall rating
4/5

Second time in Kenya. My impression is that the country developed in fifteen years and it's definitely moving forward. I think the overall level of services, welcoming and staff professionalism is good compare to some other countries I've been. We generally found our trip enjoyable because we didn't suffer any unexpected issue or lack of organisation, etc.

However, keep in mind that the road trips between the parks can be long and exhausting. Plus it is sometime necessary to depart early in the morning. But it totally worth it ! The scenery is exceptional and the wildlife we could observe was so numerous ! Yet, keep in mind that Kenya is a touristic destination, so in the parks we sometimes felt hard to find ourselves in the middle of nowhere enjoying the moment : so many Land Cruisers and vans around the Lions !

Regarding the security, we felt safe everywhere, in particular in Nairobi where the hotels are equipped with high end security equipment...

Beautiful South Africa- with lots to explore from mountains to ocean, and amazing safari experience
Overall rating
5/5

South Africa is full of beautiful places to explore. One visit is really not enough to explore all that South Africa has to offer. I have been there multiple times and each time have explored areas I have never seen before. The nature is extraordinary and access to safaris is also top notch. Safari lodges are affordable compared to other countries in Africa. The people in South Africa are very welcoming and happy to help tourists. If you are looking for an easy way to get to Kruger and enjoy safaris in a comfortable way without having to drive yourself, I recommend contacting Safari with Us, as they proved excellent services including transport from/to Johannesburg. South Africa truly has something for every type of traveler.

Review about Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve by Alexandra Banulescu
Overall rating
5/5

Very experienced spotters that make sure you have the best experience. If you want to see big 5 up close, the Sabi Sand Private Game Reverse does an amazing job of seeing them up close, however due to their focus on the big 5 you might not stop to see some smaller wildlife on the drives.

Wonderful, and everything on point
5/5

we booked with Lush because of the wonderful itinerary we were given. This was our first trip to Africa, so their was some hesitancy, but the reviews and feedback from other travelers was invaluable to planning the trip. We were not disappointed!. Initially we were looking at Tanzania and Kenya, but after talking to Abbey we extended to Uganda, as being Ugandan, he knows that country particularly well. Abbey offered many helpful suggestions and insights.

The vehicles were relatively new, and got us threw some pretty rough roads, with an "African massage". Joseph was a wonderful guide and got our African trip off to a great start. Peter was a master tracker and driver, and had a nose for finding the animals. Robert went out of his way to be helpful. Lake Navaisha was a wonderful addition particularly for Christmas, and Amboseli turned out to be another highlight, as Peter got us close to a lion family near dusk. Every day was wonderful, and the safari ended far too quickly!

Incredible company, taking all our needs into consideration to make an incredible trip
5/5

Last February , my husband and I recently embarked on an unforgettable journey with Eco-Africa, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the entire experience. Our adventure included the exhilarating climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro followed by an awe-inspiring 4-day safari, making it a dream come true for both of us.

The heart of our expedition was undoubtedly the expertise and dedication of our guides, Alex and George. From the moment we set foot on the trail to the summit of Kilimanjaro, these two individuals proved to be not only knowledgeable and experienced but also incredibly attentive to our needs.

Alex and George's guidance played a pivotal role in making our ascent safe, enjoyable, and memorable. Their wealth of knowledge about the terrain, wildlife, and local culture enhanced our overall experience, providing us with valuable insights and anecdotes that made the journey even more enriching.
One of the highlights of our trip was the outstanding quality of meals provided throughout the journey. Despite being on a challenging hike, the culinary team at Eco-Africa, managed to deliver delicious and nourishing meals that exceeded our expectations. I am a vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate me.

What truly sets Eco-Africa apart is their genuine concern for the health and well-being of their clients. We felt supported and cared for throughout the adventure. Their consistent check-ins ensured that we were acclimating well to the altitude, addressing any concerns promptly and with expertise.

Capping off our journey with a 4-day safari was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Africa's wildlife. The safari experience, like the climb, was expertly organized, and we felt a strong connection to nature throughout.

Embarking on a trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro and experiencing a safari has always been on our bucket list, and Eco-Africa, not only made it possible but exceeded our expectations in every way. Their commitment to providing an exceptional and safe adventure is truly commendable, and we wholeheartedly recommend Eco-Africa to anyone seeking an unparalleled experience in the heart of Africa.

Thank you, Eco-Africa, for making our dream adventure a reality, and a special thanks to Alex and George for being extraordinary guides on this incredible adventure!

Wayfairer just delivered the best experience of our lives!
5/5

My wife and I were planning our long overdue honeymoon (yes - we got married during COVID)! We were directed to Aggie (Wayfairer) by my sister and what an amazing trip she pulled through for us. We went through 8 amazing itineraries before we landed on the perfect one for us! We spent 6 days of our Kenya trip through Wayfairer and planned the rest ourselves. Aggie and Chanelle were kind enough to even suggest some other great spots while we planned the rest of the trip.

What an absolutely amazing time we had in Kenya. It was genuinely the best 2 weeks of our lives! All the travel, accomodations, weather - better than anything we could have ever imagined. While Masai Mara (Ilkeliani) was just exceptional, it was Ol Pejeta and Andy's cottages that stole our hearts! The wildlife was great all-around and awed us throughout, but the level of service and attention we received at the Safari Cottages in Ol Pejeta was just so heartwarming! Every single thing - from our arrival, to having hot water bags in our beds and safari vehicles, the quality of food, but most importantly the staff - Hezzy (our guide), John, Peter, Victoria and Jairus were so special - it felt like home! I've been raving to everyone I've met since the trip to definitely visit Ol Pejeta once in their life - specifically Andy's cottage! Our only big regret - we forgot to take a group picture with everyone at the cottage!

Everything at Masai Mara was great too - however, just a tad bit more commercial. The camp was really nice, the tents were extremely nice and the staff were great! Only minor complaint would be about the game drives in Masai Mara - and the reliance on radios to spot wildlife. We loved our experience with Hezzy at Ol Pejeta - no radios, just pure instinct and knowledge!

I'm so glad we decided to go with Wayfairer. At first glance - the cost of the trip threw us off, but you undertand truly why that is only once you're on the trip! Everything from our pickup (in a Landover), to check-in at the airport (where someone dropped our bags off and got our boarding passes while we were sipping on some coffee), personal butlers, personal chef, personal safari vehicle, top of the line accomodation - everything was just so nicely thought through! Chanelle and Aggie provided all the necessary information in advance and when my visa didn't come through in time - they even tried to use their contacts on the ground to help expedite it!

Our experience with Aggie and Chanelle tought us how a true luxury holiday should be planned. While Kenya was a once in a life time kinda trip - we're surely going to be doing more trips through Wayfairer!

A Memorable Journey 10/10
5/5

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a safari experience at Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, guided by Dallas Africa Safaris. I cannot speak highly enough of their exceptional service, attentiveness, and extensive knowledge of the park and its wildlife.

Dallas and Assad were incredibly attentive throughout the entire safari journey. They paid close attention to every detail, ensuring that our needs and preferences were met. Whether it was adjusting the pace of the safari or accommodating special requests, they went above and beyond to make our experience comfortable and enjoyable.

Their knowledge of the Serengeti and its wildlife was truly impressive. Dallas and Assad shared a wealth of information about the various animal species we encountered, including their behavior, habitats, and unique characteristics. Their ability to identify and locate animals in the vast wilderness of the Serengeti was remarkable, and they eagerly shared their insights, enhancing our appreciation and understanding of the ecosystem.

Not only were Dallas and Assad highly knowledgeable, but they also had a friendly and approachable demeanor. They created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel at ease from the moment we met. Their genuine passion for the Serengeti and its wildlife was evident in their interactions with us, as they enthusiastically shared stories and anecdotes about their experiences in the park.

Dallas and Assad's professionalism was exemplary. They ensured our safety at all times and adhered to responsible tourism practices. Their expertise in navigating the park's terrain and wildlife hotspots made the safari experience seamless and enjoyable. They also demonstrated excellent communication skills, keeping us informed about the day's itinerary, wildlife sightings, and any important updates.

Beyond their attentive and knowledgeable guidance, Dallas and Assad were a pleasure to be around. They had a great sense of humor, fostering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the safari. Their friendly and personable nature made the experience even more memorable, as we felt like we were exploring the Serengeti with friends.

In conclusion, my safari experience at Serengeti National Park with Dallas Africa Safaris was nothing short of excellent. Their attentiveness, extensive knowledge, and friendly personalities created an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to explore the breathtaking wilderness of the Serengeti.

Highly Recommend

With so many companies to choose from for safari, it’s lucky we managed to find one so great.

All communications were easy with Leonard via WhatsApp to make sure things were clear for us.

We had planned to go to Selous national park, but when we landed Leonard got in touch to say that the recent heavy rainfall meant the roads were in terrible condition and he recommended we change the plans to go to a different national park.
We were a bit concerned as it was so close to the trip we didn’t really want to make last minute changes. That being said the new itinerary going to Mikumi National park actually worked out cheaper so proved to us he just wanted what was best and to make the trip a success.

It was a huge success! Despite the long journey, we really feel this was the right decision.

Our car was great and had a pop up roof so we could see as much as possible! Most of all it was safe and didn’t break down!

Alfonce was a perfect driver, he made us feel completely safe and knew his way around without any problems. He is a Genuinely caring person who stoped to help others having trouble in the park with their cars. He also did not come off the main roads of the park to chase animals or get too close. We still got all the perfect shots and managed to see everything, but didn’t leave feeling as though we had crossed any rules or made the animals scared (we know that others definitely did that and we wouldn’t have been comfortable with this).

Idris was a great host. He we knowledgeable about everything that we asked him and pointed out lots of interesting facts to keep us entertained! We felt very cared for by the two of them!

Sumay at the Masai village was also amazing, he made our trip really special and shared so much with us.

I would recommend to all who are looking for a budget safari and I would also let them lead you with their advice they really knew what was best and made it the perfect trip!
