We saw so much elephants nearby and our tour-guide did a great job of spotting and explaining. Also the lunch was great with a nice view.

Very well organized
Communication with Fiona and making all arrangements, even during our trip, was very efficient. She was very friendly and always ready to help. Driver Tony was very efficient to find the animals. Our stay at Camp Lilac was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized, the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, and the camp itself is beautifully equipped.

Thanks, Australken, for a wonderful 16 days
This is the third time that we arranged a Kenya safari with Zippy at Australken, and traveled with Symon as our friend, guide and wildlife guru. Our group of 10 friends from the US had two Land Cruisers, driven by Symon and Martin, both of whom can spot completely camouflaged animals at a great distance, interpret their intentions and behaviors, and name each and every species. The photographic opportunities were outstanding - we toured through Tsavo East & West, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Lodges were outstanding with excellent buffet food - and at Osero Lodge in Maasai Mara we were treated to a gourmet experience by Chef Godfrey. If we could give ten starts to Zippy, Symon, Martin (and Agnes & Godfrey at Osero), we would!
I strongly recommend Australken to photographers who are technically experienced, but require the support, flexibility and wildlife knowledge for safari success.

An Unforgettable Tanzania Adventure organised by the best Tour Operator!
We booked a 12-day trip with Sunset Adventure Safari from June 20 to July 2nd, combining a 6-day safari through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater with 6 relaxing days in Zanzibar. This was an incredible way to experience both sides of Tanzania — the wild bush and the stunning coast — and Sunset Adventure Safari made it seamless from start to finish.
From the very beginning, Emma, who owns the business, made this trip incredibly easy to plan. She took the time to curate the itinerary around exactly what we were looking for, and was consistently fast to respond to my messages, no matter the time of day. That level of attentiveness and care gave us confidence in the company from day one, and it carried through the entire trip.
The safari portion of the trip exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Abraham, was outstanding — genuinely one of the best parts of the entire trip. He had an incredible depth of knowledge about every species we encountered, not just identifying animals but explaining their behaviors, social structures, and the small details that make a real difference to understanding what you're watching. Beyond his expertise, Abraham had a wonderful personality. We laughed constantly, felt completely at ease with him, and never once felt unsafe, even in more remote areas. He struck that perfect balance of being professional and safety-conscious while also being genuinely fun to be around. I cannot recommend him highly enough — if you book with Sunset Adventure Safari, ask for Abraham.
Across the four parks, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five — lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant — including some truly remarkable behavioral moments that we'll never forget. We also spotted hyenas, zebra, giraffe, several species of antelope and gazelle, baboons, and hippos. Each park had its own character: Tarangire's baobab-studded landscapes, Lake Manyara's lush greenery, the vast open plains of the Serengeti, and the otherworldly setting of Ngorongoro Crater. Six days was the perfect amount of time to experience the diversity of these ecosystems without feeling rushed.
After the excitement of the safari, we spent six days unwinding at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort, and it was the perfect contrast. The resort was beautiful, with large, spacious rooms that gave us plenty of room to relax. The beach itself was stunning — turquoise blue water that looked almost unreal, perfect for swimming and simply soaking in the scenery. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay, always helpful, warm, and attentive. It was an ideal way to decompress after the early mornings and long game drives of the safari.
Overall ,this trip offered the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Emma's attentive planning, Abraham's expertise and warmth on safari, and the beautiful stay at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort all came together to make this an exceptional trip from start to finish. Highly recommend Sunset Adventure Safari for anyone considering a Tanzania safari, especially if you want to pair it with some downtime on the coast afterward.
