An Amazing First Trip to Tanzania
Our first time in Tanzania was unforgettable! With Thomas as our guide, we saw the Big Five in ten days. He speaks excellent English, is humorous, knowledgeable, and truly understands animal behavior. He always found the best spots for viewing and photography an outstanding safari experience. Best Trip Ever with Zaqtu Safaris
My wife and I (from Thailand and China) had the most amazing time in Tanzania with Zaqtu Safaris! We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for 7 days through the Machame Route, and then enjoyed a 3-day safari in Serengeti.
Everything was so well organized from the start. Our guides were kind, patient, and always encouraged us during the climb. The food and camp service were excellent, and the whole team took such good care of us,we really felt like family.
The safari was truly unforgettable. We were lucky to see the Great Migration at the Mara River, with hundreds of wildebeests crossing such a once in a lifetime moment! We also saw lions, elephants, giraffes, and even a cheetah. Our guide David was very knowledgeable and made every day exciting and fun.
Thank you, Zaqtu Safaris, for making our honeymoon adventure so special. We’ll never forget this amazing experience and highly recommend Zaqtu to anyone visiting Tanzania!

Put this on your bucket list, WOW.
Just wow. We loved this entire country and their people, what lovely, helpful, humble people. We felt safe everywhere we went (walking everywhere) and enjoyed everything from their sit down restaurants to the local food, rolex. There were offers of rides on motorcycles from locals looking for work, hellos from beautiful children and wooden canoes to take across the Victoria lake, or you could catch the ferry boat and see the locals transporting anything from live chickens to anything they could grow. We took a small plane ride from Entebbe to the gorilla areas and it was also amazing and safe. Our stay in the park, dead center in the forest was just beautiful. The movie "Gorillas in the mist". came to mind every morning, an entire new beauty for us. The gorilla "hunt" (find) was long (6 hours) and as it had poured rain the night before, we sloshed in mud past our ankles towards the end of the hike. Walking through the brush also got difficult near the end of our find. But, wow-was it ever worth it. What an amazing experience coming within feet of these beautiful creatures. We watched two littles wrestling, and an annoyed mother scold them, as one took off and the other seemed to be in time out. When we returned, our hotel staff was waiting for us with refreshing juice and clean slippers as they removed our shoes, which we later found as clean as new in our room; they never even asked who we were or which room was ours. My advice...GO. Oh, and we are 67 and 70 years old. We were exhausted, but we kept up just fine.

A great country to observe African safari wildlife and experience intriguing Masai culture
My first trip to Africa was an incredible experience, and I was thrilled with Tanzania's amazing safari offerings. Our journey was expertly organized by Dancing Simba Safaris, who seamlessly accommodated our request to include a hike on Mount Kilimanjaro.
Our contact, Cynthia, was always available to help and made adjustments throughout our trip to ensure everything was perfect. Our safari driver was exceptionally knowledgeable about the animals' habitats and behaviors, enabling us to spot all the key species. A highlight was getting a close-up view of lions and cubs relaxing and playing in their natural environment.
The Masai village cultural experience is a must-do. We had the privilege of interacting with Masai families and learning about their history. Another unforgettable moment was spending half a day with a guide from the Chaga tribe. He involved us in the entire process of making coffee—from raw bean to brewed cup—while singing a Swahili song along the way. The homemade traditional organic lunch was both delicious and nutritious.
The country is blessed with wonderful weather and an abundance of tropical fruits, such as deliciously creamy avocados, watermelons, guavas, and papayas.
We rounded off our trip with a visit to Zanzibar, which boasts beautiful white-sand beaches on the east coast. It's an ideal location for kite surfing and the perfect place to relax after our safari adventures.

Helpful and informative
Did the six day trip through Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli in mid/late September 2025.
Our driver/guide was David. He has 19 years experience. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and made a true effort to try and get us to see all of the animals especially the ones that take effort to find - lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Unfortunately, we did not see leopards on our trip, but not from a lack of trying and one unfortunate incident of another driver accidentally honking their horn and scaring a visible one away. He encourages you to ask any and all questions you have about the wildlife, the country, the people or anything else you are curious about. If we were going to be late getting back to a lodge, he would call them to make them aware so they kept supper out for us or vice versa if we had an early start he would see if the restaurant could maybe open just a little bit earlier so we could get food. There was never a shortage of bottled water to drink.
I started planning this trip back in November 2024. I found this company on Tripadvisor. They were highly rated and all the comments were positive. Johann, their sales team leader, was always prompt and answered all of my emails within 24 hours and the only reason they took that long was due to time differences. He is very prompt, answers all questions, and he even helps makes suggestions on where to stay, why to get a jeep instead of a van, the different payment options, etc.
I would/will use them again if I ever go back to see some new parks or try to find the leopard again. I would also suggest them to any of my family or friends if they were planning a trip.

Professional. Well organised. Faultless.
An unforgettable honeymoon safari! Everything was seamless and perfectly organised—from booking to departure. The food was excellent, and they thoughtfully catered to my wife’s vegan diet. The accommodations were comfortable and well-chosen. Davis even surprised us with a lovely cultural gift at the end!
