Review about South Africa by Jonathan Gill
South Africa offers a diverse range of opportunities for viewing mountains, the sea, and discovering wildlife. The Kruger Park is definately worth visiting. A person on safari could spend 5 days or more in that park. South Africa has a number of other smaller parks throughout the country. The Drakensburg mountains are spectacular as is the Garden Route. The wild flowers of the Karoo, are also something worth seeing in August/September. On the whole SA is worth one visit at least.
Pilanesberg
I visited the Pilanesberg in September 2014, for a long weekend. We stayed in the Madikwe facility. The accommodation is satisfactory. We hired a 4 sleeper unit. I slept in the "upstairs" bedroom. The layout of the units does not allow beds to be pushed against the wall, which I did not like and the beds were not particularly comfortable. We ate at the camps restaurant. The food was adequate, but they could not produce all the items on the menu and were slow to deliver food. Breakfast at Bakubang was good. The units cooking facilities were good, with a barbeque and other cooking facililities.
From a wildlife perspective, we were fortunate to see a number of animals including rhino. The dam had a number of animals and provided for some good photo oppurtunities. We saw several animals over a period of a few hours, and had plenty of photo opportunities. The range of animals is pretty diverse. The park has reasonable flora. Good views over the lands from some of the higher elevations of the park.
The reserve became pretty full during the mid-morning and their were a significant number of vehicles in the park. The roads are mostly good.
The park is conveniently located being an hour and a halfs drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. The park is close to Sun City and Rustenburg.
My view is that for a short visit of two days the park is certainly worth visiting, if you are in that part of the work.

Great Adventure
When in Uganda,I had gone to see gorillas but to my surprise, I saw something interesting:I saw this amazing bird .I had never seen such a beautiful bird like that. I asked the guide,Mr.Robert, and he told me that the bird is called the crested Crane. It is the Ugandan national bird and it’s highly respected bird in the country. It represents Uganda because of its strength and peace. It was really amazing and it made my day.

Good choice
It was a great experience a good selection of tour operator. Driver was very funny, he knew a lot (he is Masaai). We visited 3 NP - a lot of varirous species of animals - lion, zebras, elephants, etc.
Food was OK, accomodation too.
I can highly recommend this Il maasai company.

A truly authentic experience of a lifetime!
When I got back from the Safari, people asked me: "Well? How was it??" and the thing is I don't think there is a word or a sentence that can truly describe it... When we first got to the Serengeti, it felt like I was thrown back in time to the first days of the bible where all the animals lived together without fences or borders... This really was one of our best experience ever. From the moment we landed in Arusha we were picked up by a Bestday Safaris driver that took us straight to our hotel (which was also arranged by Bestday) there we met Peter that explained to us exactly what was going to happen in the next few days. Everything was very clear and arranged. The next morning we got picked up by Godfrey who has the eyes of a hawk and would be able to spot an animal a km away; he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a great driver. The accommodation, the animals we saw, the food and the service we got was very good and I would recommend a Safari trip to anyone who loves animals and the outdoors. We are defiantly thinking about doing another adventure with Bestday safaris in the next few years (maybe Kilimanjaro... :)

Great service for a three day tour
Northern Circuit Adventure delivered exactly what was expected - and the service was excellent. Michael is clearly keen to provide the best experience and his communicaiton was great, including arriving to welcome us personally as well as checking in post trip that everything had worked well. Our driver Dennis was great - knowledgable and friendly, giving us the right amount of information and never giving us the impression we were simply the next bunch of tourists to pass through. I would definately recommend Northern Circuit Adventure.
PS. try to have cash with you or pay up front as getting cash out of the ATM in Arusha was a bit tricky!
