Exceeded our Expectations

Where to begin. The People are wonderful, so welcoming, kind and polite. All of the accommodation was great. We did budget on actual safari, but all was clean and comfortable. Always great showers. Our airport hotel at J.berg was exceptional. More than I anticipated. All of our meals at the lodges were amazing. Our meals in various restaurants in Capetown were all of high quality. Nothing is overly expensive either. Transport was excellent, always felt in safe hands with experienced drivers. Our Game drivers were very good and great fun. As were our guides on our bush walks. Weather was good every day, though a few very hot days. To landscape is amazing, also being very much like Australia. In some spots breath taking. Obviously the highlight was to see so many of the wildlife up close. All in all I regret not going before hand. I really felt at home, whether it was on Safari in Kruger or relaxing in Capetown. Next trip ASAP.

About: Tanzania
Tanzania is a hidden gem.

We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 4 children to Arusha. We did a 3 day safari with Bujo tours. The wildlife, scenery and overall experience were wonderful. We have been on safari in South Africa in the past. This was different in terms of scenery and wildlife, especially the birds. Ngorongoro crater is breathtaking.

Met all of our expectations and then some
5/5

in planning the trip we worked with Mary. She was very responsive and organized a great trip. We asked for 3 and 4 star accommodations. stayed in small, nice lodges. spent 2 nites in Serengeti in the mbugani tented camps. very comfortable. private flush toilet, shower and sink. large, clean quiet tent with a very comfortable bed. They had no A/C, but our weather was nice and it wasn't necessary. They are not 5 star, BUT, they are really in the bush. we could hear hippos and lions at night, not very far away. You might not get that experience in some of the bigger deluxe lodges. pretty cool.

She set us up in a private tour for the 2 of us. I would recommend that. some of the vehicles looked pretty crowded with up to eight people. It would be hard to really see the animals and you would have to go along with the group program. with a private vehicle, you can keep whatever schedule you want, and its not a whole lot more money.

Our driver, Nickson was great. we had some rain. on 2 occasions, trucks all around us were getting stuck in the mud. He managed to get us thru each time. very knowledgeable. spotted a lot of animals. very entertaining. If you are lucky enough to get Nickson as your driver, tell him Randy and Mandy said "weenie weenie" (inside joke. it will make him laugh)

We had to make several changes during the safari, due to our changes, not gilmags. Mary jumped in and helped reschedule some lodging and air reservations which was quite a lot of extra work for her. She did not ask for any additional money, but we paid her extra money for her effort.

We did 11 days total. the price was amazingly cheap for all that we did in our private jeep and driver.

If I go again, I won't even bother to shop. I will just go straight to Mary at Gilmag. Can not say enough about them. the whole thing went smooth and was great from beginning to end.

Kaara Adventures are doing really a great work for their customers in a trustworthy manner-
5/5

I did the tour with the Director of the Kaara Adventures Mr. Jose to Kenya and we visited to Masai Mara that offers us an excellent big-cat encounters. Palm-lined beaches was a perfect place that offers a great relax after an action-packed safari. In between this beautiful place there are also some offices including some of the tourism sectors offices at there. It was an excellent spot for official meetings, conferences and exhibitions especially for large group and shows.
While planning a trip both in Uganda and Kenya, I looked through several safari tours travel agency and finally decide to go with Kaara Adventures.
The owner of Kaara Adventures really doing the great job. Thanks for your support on our trip and keep your good job.

The adventure of a lifetime
5/5

We spent 11 days with Joseph touring 6 different parks! We saw everything! Joseph has an incredible ability to spot any animal at any distance! Travelling to a new country can sometimes be a little stressful, as you really don't know what to expect, or who you can trust. Joseph put our minds at ease very quickly. He is open, kind, friendly, and honest. We were travelling with my 70-year-old father in law, and Joseph was wonderful with checking in with us and making sure we were doing well. The entire tour was well beyond our expectations!!! We saw hundreds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, so many lions, leopards, and cheetahs! We saw 10 black rhinos!!! More monkeys and baboons than we could ever count... countless birds, so many other animals of all shapes and sizes. I hope to go back again one day, and there is no other guide I would rather have than Joseph or his personal tour guides! We really enjoyed getting to know Joseph and I'm so happy to now consider him a friend. Thank you, Joseph, for everything! You really made our trip extra special! Keep being awesome!

Great Adventure

Great Adventure

We did a tour to Tanzania through Mara Serena. The driver, Mr. Mwangi did dexterous driving through muddy terrains from Mara to the border of Tanzania. Due to the heavy rains the shortest route to the border was obstructed by floods. The alternative route was too long and tiring. After consulting with his colleague, Mr. Mwangi embarked on a treacherous, winded and muddy road to bypass the flooded road. He managed to get us through the mud and to the border on time;saving precious time since my wife was pregnant. We were fortunate to experience elephants wanting to charge at us while at close proximity. Mr Mwangi's adventurous driving skills gave us riveting pictures, videos and the much needed adrenaline fixes.

Tanzania is where we spent most of the holiday with Elisha who was quite excellent. We learnt a lot about the country and the parks especially the TseTse flies that cause sleeping sickness. The flies had quite a liking to Elisha for some reason....just kidding. The Serena hotels in the Serengeti was somewhat disappointing from the service point of view. However at NgoroNgoro the Serena there was at per with the Kenyan excellent service we have been accustomed to.

Professional, Knowledgeable, Engaging - Onesmus Mutunga
5/5

We had an amazing experience with GoFan Safaris, and in particular, with Onesmus Mutunga. Ours was not a 1-2 day experience as we spent nearly two weeks with Onesmus as the driver for our team’s work with the Maasai in the communities surrounding the Maasai Mara. You really get to know someone camping in the bush together and he is one of the most engaging, professional and reliable guides I have had anywhere. Following that time, he guided us on game drives in the Mara. He is extremely knowledgeable, very professional and has a great connection with the other guides - enabling him use his network to find game and get us there quickly. He is very dedicated to his client’s experience - he was always ready go longer than we were to ensure we had the best experience. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
