We had the best experience of our life
Joshua our guide was first class
It's budget so don't expect the best accommodation, but it's all about what you see. Very good value for money
Would definitely recommend

About: Tanzania
Great experience!
Overall rating
5/5

We did a 3-day tour in Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. It was amazing to see those very different parks and all the wildlife there. Out of the big 5 we saw 4 (unfortunately no leopards). Out of the 3 parks Ngorongoro was our highlight. Because we were travelling during the rain season there was a lot of water everywhere (Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro). Because of that we could not see some of the animals well. On the other hand the landscape was so incredibly green. I would definitely come back during wet season.
Our tour operator (Tanzania Go Adventures) was amazing, as well as our tour guide Amos! The company is a local one (compared with many of the big ones owned by westeners). Our experience was very pleasent. Definitely come back another time and highly recommend it.

The best experience in my adult life!
5/5

My girlfriend and I had the very best time on this safari. We saw over 50 different types of animal in just 5 days! Our guide Albert was so good and knowledgable and made sure that we got to see as much as possible. We saw Some of the animals like the lions and elephants really close to the car! The car was really comfy and had a fridge and charger on board in case your battery runs low with all the photos you will want to take. The accommodation was also brilliant. We stayed at the Kubukubu Lodge and Kontik camp and both were wonderful. Really good food and nice rooms, can't complain about anything, brilliant service and all the staff were so friendly. Would recommend our guide and this tour to anyone. Just excellent. Getting to spend the day in the crater is a must! Asante sana

An outstanding experience
5/5

Having heard glowing recommendations from friends who have safaried in Kenya, I decided to book my own African adventure holiday in July 2023 with Tembejoy Tours and Travel. As a US visitor new to the country, I could not have felt in more capable hands thanks to their outstanding customer service and travel execution.

From my initial inquiry sent online to request information about possible itineraries and pricing, Tembejoy responded within 24 hours with a thoughtful, tailored proposal for safari routes matching my interests. I was very impressed by their prompt, helpful reply.

Throughout the entire booking process, their team offered a highly professional approach - answering all questions thoroughly, handling logistics like transfers and accommodations smoothly, and instilling confidence in their experience.

Once we embarked on the actual safari itself to the Maasai Mara nature reserve, I was extremely pleased by the exciting fun adventures expertly guided... Read more each day by our Tembejoy Tour Director. The routes gave amazing opportunities to view spectacular wildlife while avoiding the crowds.

In addition to world-class game drives, Tembejoy balanced recreation time with authentic cultural visits. I learned so much about Kenyan heritage first-hand. A bush dinner barbecue one night under the stars even delivered delicious local cuisine!

Considering the once-in-a-lifetime memories gained from this epic holiday arranged seamlessly despite my foreigner status, the price paid was truly a bargain. I can't wait to call on Tembejoy Tours again next time I'm craving an African trip!

Meru Slopes goes above and beyond
5/5

Meru Slopes was excellent to work with to set up my 5 day safari. I wanted to customize some aspects of my safari so had quite a few requests (specific start date, wanted to join a group despite being a solo traveler, upgraded lodging, etc) and emailed >10 different companies for quotes and options. Meru Slopes got back to me quickly and put together several different quotes and options based on what I was looking for. They were the only company who actually was able to make an itinerary that fit what I wanted and it ended up being very reasonably priced.

The safari itself was excellent. My guide was Salehe and he has been doing this for over a decade. His expertise is obvious - he helped out multiple other drivers when they got stuck but we never had any issues whatsoever with our car and I felt very safe and comfortable with his driving. We also were able to see all of the Big 5 along with countless other species. Salehe was the first guide to spot quite a few animals... Read more including two rhino in Ngorongoro Crater, which can be one of the harder animals to find. We got amazing pictures to the point where a random person sitting next to me on the plane ride home was in awe of my lion, giraffe, and elephant photos. Our chef Buga was also great and was able to easily accommodate one member of our group who was vegetarian while making delicious food for everyone.

I was able to pay for my safari with credit card the day before the trip started, which was important to me as I did not want to travel across the world with thousands of dollars in cash. Not all companies allow this; in fact a fellow traveler almost had to cancel his safari as he was unaware that his company only accepted cash.

I ended up having an extra full day at the end of my time in Tanzania and actually messaged the owner of Meru Slopes to set up a coffee/waterfall tour. He got back to me that same night and a guide was waiting for me at my hotel the next am at 7:30. Again, my guide Herman was fantastic - he was engaging and shared a lot about Tanzanian culture and day to day life that I hadn't learned. He also stopped and picked up street corn as well as getting local bananas for me to try. He helped me with some of the slippery spots on the waterfall hike and additionally brought my luggage into the airport for me.

Overall Meru Slopes went above and beyond with everything I asked for. Their guides were excellent at what they do and clearly some of the best in the business. I would not hesitate to use them again and plan to recommend Meru Slopes for any of my friends traveling to Tanzania in the future.

Extremely professional and heed to your needs
5/5

Absolutely Beautiful tour spanning over two countries - Zimbabwe and Botswana. We went as a family of 3 and everything was absolutely breathtaking. The planning was done perfectly, and we managed to see many animals over the course of this trip. We were also vegetarian and it was so easy to get food according to our dietary requirements. Got to see so many animals including Giraffes, Ostriches, Elephants, Hippos, Zebras and Lions. The tour also accommodates for optional activities that you would like to do.

Amazing 6 days in the wild
5/5

Our 6-day tour included only one and a half days in Masai Mara Park. When planning your trip, consider allocating more time there.
And here is what we observed in Amboseli https://youtu.be/_nxYM3Q7B68

PERFECT
5/5

Hi Micheal,
Thank you so much for an amazing experience. My wonderful experience started right from picking us up at the hotel in Rosebank. Anthony is amazing, friendly, helpful and a fantastic giude. He eased my worries of traveling alone in just a few minutes and I was off to have fun. The hotel - Rissington Inn - is amazingly beautiful. Every staff member at hotel and safari guide and driver on return (Thobo) were fantastic and went out their way to help. I would return with family and do it all again and give you and your team a 100/10.
