The variety of locations and length of experience was just perfect. The accommodation on the Safari was outstanding - we felt truly spoilt, even felt like it could have been our honeymoon.

You managed to be happy first thing every day, dressed impeccably, with the Landcruiser cleaned inside and out. Filled it with fuel at some point. You resolved as if by magic the vehicle problems - horn tooting with every bump, the battery being flat and limped it back into Arusha with it threatening to cut out and with a bolt in the tyre! And all this was outside of what was long long days of driving! And not forgetting the room mate waking you up at 5.30 to help rescue him from being stuck in the mud.
Your driving was calm, always considerate to our comfort and smooth (well, as much as could be but we appreciated the African Massages 🤣).

Animals - and so up close and personal. Giraffes and Elephants we could almost reach out and touch. Lions - older males, young males and females so relaxed and one male in a tree! An Impala give birth and we witnessed the newborn take her first staggering steps. A Leopard - well, a tail at least 🤣. Rhino! All the big five and lots of birds. That’s to name a few. We have learnt so much from you with your unending knowledge of these animals and much, much more about Tanzanian culture and living.

I recently had the pleasure of booking a day's trip to Suswa with Royal Star Expeditions, I must say thst t was an incredible experience. The highlight of our trip was the Suswa train ride, which was well organized by the team Royal.
Winnie, our lead guide, was exceptional. She was not only helpful but also efficient in ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Her knowledge about the destination and its history was impressive. She she eagerly shared interesting facts and stories with us.
From the moment we met Winnie, it was clear that she was passionate about her job and genuinely cared about providing us with an unforgettable experience. She took the time to listen to our preferences and customized the trip accordingly. Her attention to detail was commendable, making sure that every aspect of our day's trip was well-planned and executed flawlessly.
The Suswa train ride itself was a unique and thrilling experience. Attention to detail, very kind and professional
We recently had a great safari to Nairobi National Park organized by Royal Star Expeditions. Our tour operator Winnie was very efficient with communication and very professional. We spotted lions immediately we entered the park and other animals. I was excited to capture a clear picture of rhinos resting with a background of Nairobi city. Did you know that Nairobi National Park is the only park in the whole world within a capital city? We had a picnic lunch at Rhino pool.

Communication with the rep/sales (Deus) was excellent. Driver-guide Kalvin was also polite, punctual and knowledgeable.
Points to improve though are vehicle - could have been newer (keep in mind very dusty and shaky roads, so additional comfort would not harm), program though good - I was not aware of Tarangire national park, hooked only by the big names of Serengeti & Ngorongoro - so it was a perfect addition, but more precise info would have been nice, especially about times - as from Tarangire to Serengeti it took almost the whole day and not just 1,5 as it was stated in the program.
Also it feels like that you should better know what you want on safari - otherwise stops times might be either too long or too short.
Accomodation was quite good, especially Baobab tented camp.
Lunch could have been better - lunchboxes are provided by accomodation mostly, but we spotted also one group being catered with metal pots instead of humble lunchboxes, so there is room to grow (consider to buy some snacks in advance )

Amazing safari with a truly personalized touch! Highly recommend!!
Once we decided that we wanted to do a Tanzania safari to celebrate our honeymoon, we started looking into the multitude of local tour providers. After chatting with our final 8-10 local tour operators, we decided to go with Zohar.
Lilian, the owner of Zohar, was our main contact during the planning process. She was so helpful and always patiently worked with us updating and refining our itinerary based on feedback/research on proposed stays, activities. What set Zohar apart from others was that Lillian was communicative and advised us like a friend, rather than just a business operator. She has personally experienced many if not all the stays/activities and only recommends those that in her experience are worth going to or doing. We followed her recommendations, and she was always spot on! She made sure we had a special and personalized experience from airport pick-up all the way through drop-off.
Our driver-guide Solo was also amazing! He has many years of experience, and it made a huge difference in terms of the comfort of the long drives knowing that we could trust our guide’s judgment. During our trip we always felt safe around the animals even though we could almost touch them from our jeep. We wanted to see as many animals in their natural environment as we could, noting that this is highly dependent on time of year and that you should try to schedule your trip during one of the dry seasons. Our safari was in the second week of January and was focused on the northern circuit. Although we experienced some heavy rain on some of the days (mostly in the afternoon), we were able to see all the animals, including the harder to spot rhinos, cheetahs, and leopards thanks to Solo! He consistently brought us to prime animal viewing before others arrived. At times we were alone in the Serengeti witnessing magic before our very eyes. While a smartphone can capture many of the closer animals, sometimes it was helpful to have a longer zoom to capture sightings in the distance. The jeep also comes with a pair of strong binoculars in case you just want to take it in with your eyes. We truly had the trip of a lifetime and created so many memories!
Zohar delivers a highly personalized special trip from planning all the way to execution and they are constantly finding ways to improve their already excellent services. We would highly recommend booking an African safari with Zohar to create precious memories of your own!
