We did a safari with Safari Smile in February 2024. We are birdwatchers, so we needed a special plan (because most safaris concentrate almost exclusively on mammal sightings). Albert did a great job arranging our trip. The hotels and camps were great, but above all, our driver Fabhili and our guide Emanuel did a fabulous job. Highly recommended.

Amazing trip
Lilly was so helpful and gave us a lot of advice as it was our first time in Namibia. She organised Hotels in Windhoek, airport transfers and our 4 wheel drive vehicle with roof tent through Classic cars. Everything went so smooth and the truck gave us 2500 miles of trouble free driving over 3 weeks. We would be happy to recommend great exploration

Perfect
We just came back from 2 weeks in Tanzania. We have booked through Oreteti Safari without having any recommendation. We do not regret it at all! Everything was perfect. We did four days of safari. Our driver Amani was the best! Then fly to zanzibar.. our driver Mawani was also really nice. From the beginning to the end everything was perfect. Do not hesitate to contact them, Joseph is always there to answer any questions (and god knows I had a lot of them đ) Thank you sooooo much Joseph for your patience.

Unforgettable memories
This was definitely a day to remember. We booked a day trip to Mikumi from Zanzibar. The response was immediate and Safina was incredibly helpful and flexible. For me as a European control freak, it took a while to adjust to the âpole poleâ ways, but in the end everything was indeed very well organised. Our guide Abel was super knowledgeable and friendly, we saw 10 different types of animals and had complete privacy, barely encountered any other cars. I 100% recommend and when we come back, we book with them again!

Brilliant!
It was an incredible experience. Our guide Freddy was extremely attentive and speaks excellent English. He knows a lot about the national parks and the animals as he grew up in the area (Arusha). We booked the camping option. It is possible to spend the night in the wilderness. They explained that the animals are nearby at night. However, they are peaceful and only curious as long as you stay calm. During the safari you meet new friends from all over the world because you eat together.
As an alternative, there is also the option of spending the nights in accommodation.
The food that Tito prepared for us every day (morning, lunch and evening) was excellent and also ideal for vegetarians.
All planning is taken care of during the trip and the transfers to the airports are well organized.

Excellent Tour Operator & Guide, Lukus
I highly recommend Discovery Transfers and Tours for a great time in Namibia. My friend and I had only a week left before arriving in Namibia and were pressed for a reliable tour operator. Communication with Notti and Fanuel was great with prompt replies. They had catered to our requests and drawn-up an ititnerary just right within our budget.
What made the trip a 100% better was our guide, Lukus. He is a fantastic guide, definitely request for him! A very knowledgeable, yet humble and patient person. At Sossusvlei, we were aware that he did not need to hike up the dunes with us, but he did, because he knew the hike would be difficult. Without his constant encouragement, I'm sure my group would have just given up the hike in just 5 minutes. He even helped my friend down the dune, into deadvlei! Lukus also has extremely sharp eyes and is well aware of the habits of different animals. He always remained positive and communicated with other drivers to exchange information on animal sightings. Thanks to him, we saw ALL of the Big 5 in Etosha (lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, rhino), in just a 2 game drives. He even drove extra miles so I could see more lionesses! We definitely felt safe and reassured having him around and were so glad that we did not have to do a self-drive, especially with the driving conditions in Etosha National Park and Sossusvlei. Thanks to Lukus, we had an amazing time in Namibia and can't recommend Namibia enough to our friends!

Best Safari! Especially in the off season! Canât imagine during season
While skeptical about the pricing I wasnât sure what kind of experience I would get for my first time doing an African safari. Keep in mind we chose the off season cause it was cheaper. Needless to say, I was blown away by the experience. Not only did we have the best tour guide that was LEADING the rest of the tour guides on where to go (talk about being with a pro) but we had the best views of all types of animals. It rained once during the day but it only lasted 20 minutes and back to sunshine and animal watching. We saw every animal you can get imagine (cheetahs, elephants, jaguar, hyenas, giraffes, a black rhino)!!!! We drove around a lot (which is probably the con of going during the off season cause animals were so spread out) but honestly 10/10 I would recommend to any and all! It was a great experience and I wouldnât have done it with any other group. My only true con was the food. It wasnât bad at all, it was quite delicious, I just wish there was a bit more variation. I would suggest bringing snacks if you feel you want something else as the road trips are long and the food is usually the same
