Camping united us in the wildlife adventure
4/5

It was my first time in Africa, I didn't have much expectations. My friend told me the National Parks where going to be amazing, but we didn't want to spend tons of money on a Safari. We found Open Safari for a great deal, and our driver "Moody" was responsable for us to succeed our expectations. The organization was simple, we booked the trip and pay for it via paypal. All the cars that go into the Safaris, are pretty much the same type of car, so I felt that we will experience the Safari as the same as other that pay more but for less. "Moody" was for us for whatever we needed. In the parks some times there is no electricity so he make sure we had our phone charge for us to take pictures of the wild life, and guide us where to find our needs for the night, such some cold beer or wine. We travel with a personal cook, that astonish me how he could create delicious meals at night with such few resources. Lunches where pretty basic as we just bite something in a nice spot in the parks, watching out that monkeys don't steal from our lunch boxes. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the camping in the Serengeti, but the company explained to me that the responsable for its maintenance was the park. It was pretty nasty. I will suggest that if you could afford it, go to some Lodges. The camping above Ngorongoro Crater had a great view and was more aceptable. I will highly recommend the company. Once you understand how all this companies work, I believe none one had an intention to trick or cheat on you, they will try their best to make you happy, at it should be.

Wonderful safari that delivered everything that was promised!
5/5

We had a wonderful time on safari. Our driver, Nick, was a great driver, a knowledgeable tour guide, and fun to have on the safari with us. He was especially patient when we made him stop for every single animal we saw on our first safari drive ... not knowing how MANY animals we would see as the days progressed. We saw the big 5, and many more animals. On two occasions, we were offered the option to spend the whole day on safari drives, instead of just going for a few hours. This allowed us to get deeper into the parks and see lots of animals. We did the 9 day Hakuna Matata tour. The only thing that we may have done differently is to skip the Lake Begoria resort and park. We had just seen all the flamingos at Lake Nakuru so we would not have needed to do the long bumpy ride to see them again. Also, we enjoyed all the resorts, but Lake Begoria was the one that we enjoyed the least.
Make sure if you bring cash for payment or souvenirs, that the bills are dated after 2000 or they will not be accepted.
The airport made us ship in our luggage (not allowed in carryons) all the wooden souvenirs. So make sure they are packed well. Also, if you are from colder parts of the US, you may not need to bring warm coats etc. The mornings were in the 60's (F). I wish I had packed less. A sweater or sweatshirt was nice to have though.

Incredible Experience and Top Service
5/5

This was an absolutely flawless experience. I have booked this safari two months in advance for me and my girlfriend, unsure of which dates I would be able to go, and was a bit apprehensive about sending off money to a company that far ahead of time without guaranty other than an email.

The team was transparent from the beginning and allowed me to change my dates further down the line for the Gorilla Permits, as well as only paying for these upfront and wait until I was there to settle the balance.

Our Guide, Ben Aloysius Kyeyune was a joy to be around, extremely knowledgeable and with a rare intelligence. I have had the chance to travel to many countries and this guy was one of the best tour guide you could ask for, we truly bonded over the 3 days we were there.

The Gorilla Trekking was flawless, this is one of the best trip you can make, fascinating by all accounts, and the BroadBill Camp we stayed at in Bwindi was gorgeous. The tents have their own shower with hot water and bathroom, and monkeys are hanging out in front of the balcony. It was quiet and out in the wild, a truly beautiful experience.

Don't think twice, just go for it.

Amazing Experience
5/5

We have no words to describe our experience at Gomo Gomo Safari in South Africa, the experience we had there was far beyond what we could imagine and exceeded our expectations. I would like to thank immensely Natasha Allan (consultant) for all help and patience, if it were not for her help and suggestion we would not have been able to have this experience, again thank you very much!

Wonderful safari, saw all the animals, most caring guide, fabulous beach and stay in Zanzibar!
5/5

We did the 13-day Authentic Tanzania & Legends of Zanzibar tour, and loved it!!! Our guide and driver, Nova, was the best, he found every animal we wanted to see including lions mating, lion cubs, leopard cub, hippos playing, and the big 5. Being so close to the animals was simply amazing. We had a very authentic stay at the Maasai Village. Nova went out of his way to show us everything we asked for including a few local villages and a coffee plantation. He helped us change our lodging for 1 night to accommodate us and make the most out of our Safari. The Kati Kati tent camp was wonderful, as was Tloma lodge. We were not so fond of the day in stone town, very dirty and unpleasant smelling. Another great driver in Zanzibar, Omar. Had a great time at the spice farm tour that was set up for us. Villa Kiva was an amazing place with soft white sand beaches and caring staff. I really can't say enough how amazing this experience was. If you are thinking of booking this trip, you should, it is worth it!!!
