Lovely experience with an experienced driver / tour guide.
We had an amazing experience with Derik who was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable and aware. He along with his vehicle made our safari amazing and a very comfortable experience. We felt safe everywhere we went either during the game drive or otherwise.
This trip was for my 5 year old daughter. And we could create nice memories for her which she shall cherish for life. Thanks to pavallion safaries and the team behind it. Thank you Peter.

Having a knowledgeable driver- Jimmy was amazing and got to see some animals we wouldn’t have otherwise. Benaiah who planner and organised the tour was also amazing and very accomodating, which made the occasion special.

The team was pleasant, but the days felt a bit long and unclear
As a three day safari we had very long days in the jeep (10-11hrs), so it would probably be better to do a longer safari to break it up. We had several great animal encounters and both our accommodations were really nice.
Our guide did not seem too interested at times, but we were able to spot things and animals along the way.
We would have appreciated some info on how the days were going to look, he was quite vague and didn’t offer too much info.
All in all it was an amazing experience seeing parts of the massive Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater, but we had hoped for a slightly more enthusiastic guide!
The tour operator helped locate and deliver our missed luggage after a bit of back and forth, we appreciated that.

Very nice experience. Our driver victor was extremely friendly and organised and knowledgeable about the wildlife. We visited tangieri park which was nice and 2 days in serengetti wery nice. Ngorogoro was ok and lake manyara ok. Accomodations also nice but first stop in serengetti did not provide enough food

Accomodation supplied was excellent, with staff giving 100%, The breakfast after the supplied ballon ride was spectacular. Pick up and drop off was on time. Lion King was very responsive to all and any concerns, quickly.

Amazing experience with knowledgeable and experienced guides
The three drivers for our group of 15 were excellent, Simon, Konana and Sam. They were very experienced and chatty. They taylored their knowledge to the different members of our group. The tour went well over the 8 days and the drivers were good at letting us know what to expect at each stage. We felt safe and cared for at all times. One hotel was disappointing (Sarova Lion Hill) as it was a building site and some in the group had small rooms and the walk from reception to the accomodation and to the restaurant was steep and uneven under foot. The vehicles were a little tired, one broke down on the first day but was quickly repaired and back for the second day. It appeared that some other tour companies had more modern vehicles with less worn and dated seats. We spent a lot of time sat travelling between the national parks so a little better comfort would have been appreciated (I understand the vehicles are what they are but the seat cushions were flattened and material torn).

A worthwhile experience
Our Masai Mara safari was an unforgettable experience, thanks largely to our driver and guide, Charles. He is an exceptionally skilled driver with a keen eye for wildlife and went above and beyond to locate animals for us. We were fortunate enough to see 4 of the Big Five, along with many other magnificent animals. Charles is currently a Silver Star guide, but based on our experience, he truly deserves a Gold Star rating.
The game drives and overall travel experience were excellent. Charles's dedication, knowledge, and persistence made the safari the highlight of our trip.
Unfortunately, the camp accommodation fell short of expectations. The toilet flush in our room didn't work initially, and the Wi-Fi was unavailable throughout our two-day stay. To the camp's credit, they promptly moved us to another room when we requested it. At dinner on the first night, the beef dish had already run out by the time we arrived, and we were offered an omelette instead.
Overall, I highly recommend this safari for the outstanding game drive experience and the professionalism of Charles. However, the accommodation and food quality need improvement to match the quality of the safari itself.
