I had a great time at my 5 days/4 nights safari in Kruger NP and Sabi Sands.
I saw the Big 5 several times which was amazing - each time. The record was 5 leopards in one game drive!
The camp and luxury tents were very nice and the staff and guides were awesome: good drivers, nice food (I loved the local SA food), informative game drives and fantastic service all the way through.
I can strongly recommend this trip to anyone - it's an experience for life!

We had a wonderful visit in South Africa (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kruger Park). Fantastic scenery and wildlife, great weather, excellent food and wine (particularly in Cape Town), rich culture, warm people...definitely worth returning and highly recommended!

Kruger is the definitive game park and there are other game reserves within the country.

I stayed in private concessions in the Kruger and had wonderful game viewing, great food and friendly staff. I could not fault our guides who were knowledgeable and had a warm manner and great sense of humour. I stayed at Hoyo Hoyo and Imbali camps. I can easily recommend them to anyone considering a safari. At the end of my stay I moved to Tydon tented camp. it was a long drive but gave me the chance to view Sabi Sands. The camp and staff were brilliant but the accommodation was much more basic. This was my own choice to keep the cost of the trip down. I had a great time at this camp and got on with our guides extremely well and saw some wonderful things in the park. My only regret is that the camp is outside the park which does not allow me to sit and watch animals at a waterhole. The camp allows drives into both Sabi Sands and The Kruger but I did not enjoy the trips into The Kruger as it was limited to staying on the public roads. having experienced The Kruger in private concessions

this proved rather limiting to me. The camp accommodated me well by allowing me to do the rest of my drives and a walk in Sabi Sands which was truly brilliant with great sighting of lion, leopard and all the other wonderful wildlife of Africa especially nice to see so many white Rhino. I have to say that everything went extremely well with my trip and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone wanting to do a safari to simply get on and do it. It is an active holiday and not restful but the sights are superb. I must also mention African Welcome Safaris who organised my trip as all aspects of their organisation and advice were spot on.

The travel was well organized and all transitions went smooth and on time. The wildlife is stunning so is the nature. The guides were all extremely knowledgeable. Highlight was the Chobe National Park, during dry season a large variety of animals come together. We loved the boat tour. After that we flew into the Okavango Delta, very different experience the vegetation is different and the jeeps are allowed to leave the tracks and go deep into the bush to trace down cats. We loved it.My personal highlight was the walking Safari as it's the missing piece between game viewing and the story on nature and it's symbiosis. The stories were jaw dropping and teach you respect and admiration for Mother Nature and it's natural balance.

Our safari with Armadillo Overland Tours was fantastic, our guide Morris was knowledgeable and an excellent spotter and excellent cook. We saw the big 5 plus an amazing array of other animals in the Kruger Park - cheetah, hyena, warthog, giraffe, zebra, jackal, hippo, crocodile plus all kinds of birds. The accommodation at the camps within the park was rustic (as we were on a budget safari) but perfectly adequate. The shops and facilities within the Kruger are first rate. The weather was perfect as it was not too hot as it was spring time. The lorry/truct that Armadillo use is great as you have a very good view being so high up - it is useful to be able to recharge your phone/camera battery whilst driving around plus have access to a toilet/tea coffee making facilities on board.

My wife and I visited S.A. principally to see wildlife. We sought a tour via the offices of Safari Tours, who on knowing our goals, came up with a list of providers, three of whom caught our interest, one subsequently was selected. Safari made sure that we had appropriate replies from the operators chosen, & were most professional about the whole process.....they do a great job!
The weather was great, a relatively mild winter..only needed to bundle up in the early morning/late evening. The guides were fully committed to our seeing all that was possible. The food on the whole was adequate, but limited.Transport was well done, though it is as well to note that travelling from Jo'berg to Kruger takes a half day in one direction, & a full day in the other, so book something that will give you adequate time in the park. Having only two passengers on the tour helped to ensure that we missed nothing. The real highlight was seeing the "Big Five" on two consecutive
