An incredible trip to Tanzania
Overall rating
5/5

My wife and I always wanted to take a safari to see African animals in their natural habitats. After extensive research to determine whether we go to Botswana, Kenya, South Africa or Zambia, we decided Tanzania had the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa in the smallest geographic area, it was easy to decide on Tanzania. We then researched safari tours of all types, and again, comparing many different companies' offerings, we determined that the tour offered by Lion King had an excellent 8 day itinerary which not only included lots of animal watching, also included nightly stays at tent lodges that were all amazing. We booked the tour, and went in January, when the temperatures are cool. Everything that the tour promised was exactly what was delivered. The safari was incredible. The tent lodges were like 5 star hotels with incredible views. Our tour guide and driver, in a very comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser, was could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable of where the animals would be. My wife and I are in our 70's, and we had no problems with this trip. The people of Tanzania, without exception, were kind, caring and wonderful to be with. Eight days of sunny days with about a 70 degree high. What are you waiting for? Go to Tanzania and have an experience you and your spouse, friends or kids, will never forget.

End of may was a great season. It was still quite as it is low season and it was basically not raining. The safari was great as the great migration was starting in Serengeti. Ngororogoro was a great experience as well. We managed to seethe big five
My least favorite park was tarangire

Our family of wife (myself, wife and 2 children aged 9 & 6) had the trip of our lives in Tanzania

Shadows of Africa organized a beautiful, luxurious trip for us in luxury accommodations in and outside the Serengeti. Zamo, our super knowledgeable and professional guide who stayed with us through the trip because one of the family at the end of the trip and my boys were crying when saying good buy to him

We saw the big five and so much wildlife. Our kids and ourselves were constantly mesmerized.

We left Tanzania with so much fond memories and several of their folk songs stuck in our heads till this day!

Highly recommended trip

Brilliant trip to Tanzania. Amazing people and safari. Spend more time in Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorogoro, Manyara was a flop.

5day tour sep 23

“I embarked on a 5-day safari adventure in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro regions, encountering the magnificent Big 5 along the way, with the exception of the elusive rhino. One standout moment was witnessing a leopard feasting on a gazelle—a truly special sight.

The weather was consistently hot, but a light night storm in the Serengeti added a touch of beauty to our journey. Our guides were excellent, even though accommodations were basic. The highlight was the fantastic food.

A surprise came in the form of cold weather in the Ngorongoro mountains, but it didn’t dampen our spirits. I learned so much about animal behavior, habitats, and the fascinating lifestyle of the Hadza people.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this safari experience, though I might opt for a shorter 4-day trip in the future due to the bumpy terrain.”

It was amazing!

It was really amazing, the people are friendly and the tour through the various national parks was a once in a lifetime experience, you cannot convey the magnitude of the experience because words just do not do it justice. The Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was really an awesome experience we saw lots of Wildlife, Mara National Park was not great I would give that a miss next time round. The Serengeti was FANTASTIC....I have never seen so many wild animals together in my entire life and I have been to many national parks. The hot air balloon ride was truly amazing and a must do. We saw the big 5 but there were so many awesome moments like the flamingos and hyenas in the Ngorongoro Crater. Out tour operator Lion King Adventures was really great and catered to our every need, I will use them again.

We did a full 5 Day 5 night Safari visiting Terengire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Safari360 and we were very happy with the arrangement! Our guide Amosi was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about Tanzania from him. He showed us every animal we requested.
These parks were very green and booming with wildlife in November. Lake Manyara national park was surprisingly like a rain forest, and Ngorongoro crater had absolutely beautiful scenery . Most of all we enjoyed Serengeti and the wild camps, really getting close to the wildlife and nature. I had never thought I would see thousand and thousands and thousands of wilderbeasts and zebras. Awestruck and very happy with visiting Tanzania with safari360!

My Best Safari Marvel so far

Back in 2022, I visited Tanzania and during the final days of a business trip, I found myself exploring the Tarangire and Ngorongoro as we drove through the parks, and the streets of Arusha the warmth of the Tanzanian people was evident, there was a genuine connection between humans and nature. The untouched wilderness serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between conservation and evolving landscapes.

One notable aspect of this adventure was the exceptional services of Nihapa Tours and the friendly guide Suma who accompanied us. His passion for wildlife and welcoming character added a personal touch to the safari experience, making it feel like a journey with a friend. This connection highlighted the genuine warmth and hospitality ingrained in Tanzanian culture. As a girl born in the Cayman Islands surely there is not much natural beauty that can awe me but Tanzania caught me in surprise.

Tanzania is awesome, so skip the Zanzibar part.

We loved our trip. The best part was Ngorogoro Crater. We should have spent two nights there instead. Oscar our guide was awesome!!! We were really disappointed in Zanzibar. It was dirty and the shop sellers were way too aggressive.

I had the opportunity to visit three different parks: Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. All of them are amazing and support an incredible abundance and diversity of wildlife.
The weather was nice (I was there in November); It was raining just in Arusha, not in the parks. In general Tanzania seems to be a safe country. Arusha is full of tourists, so I think the local people are very used to foreigners.
