We have spent a holiday in Sansibar and made a 2 days safari in Tanzania with " African Flowers " It was really a great experience. The trip was very well organized, our guide war really great and provided us with all informations about the wildlife and the life in Tanzania that we needed. During the safari we could admire the landscapes and the animals, our lodge at Lake Manyara was marvelous. All on all it war really unforgettable.

Beautiful country, would recommend much higher prices for permits

The scenery in the little we saw of Tanzania was spectacular -- we LOVED the country and all of its people we managed to meet. But it occurred that much more that could be done with money from raising the cost of permits/entrance fees, for the game parks -- such as improved roads and jeeps that do not run on diesel and spew toxic exhaust (how about solar panels on the roof that tourists raise to see out?). Yes, we saw many wild animals close-up, which is indeed great for a first safari experience, but scores of jeeps dashing from one sighting to another left the impression of a safari park, where the animals are no longer "wild" but super-accustomed to being only feet away from humans. One poor cheetah mother protecting several cubs sat in the grass surrounded by jeeps, unable to reach her gazelle kill, which was rotting in the sun and increasingly likely to attract hyenas. So perhaps higher permit costs will reduce the number of tourists slightly while enabling infrastructure
Read more improvements and perhaps enforceable limits on how many jeeps may approach an animal at one time. Just a thought.

Very nice wild life and very African country

Tanzania is a truly beautiful country with breathtaking nature and wildlife. The safaris and landscapes can exceed all expectations – sometimes things turn out even better than you imagined. At the same time, traveling here means embracing a very authentic African experience.

It’s important to be prepared for some challenges along the way. Roads can be rough, and getting a flat tire every now and then is quite normal. Public toilets outside the national parks are often just simple holes in the ground – there’s never toilet paper, so bring your own. Even inside the parks, where “Western-style” toilets are provided, many are poorly maintained.

Another thing to keep in mind is pricing. As a tourist, you will often be asked to pay much more than the local rate. Whether you decide to negotiate or just accept the difference depends on your own comfort level. Ordering food can also be a lesson in patience: a simple lunch might easily take an hour before
Read more it arrives, but that’s just part of the local rhythm.

If you prefer to stay fully in the “tourist bubble,” you’ll be more shielded from these aspects. But if you step outside it, you’ll experience both the challenges and the charm of everyday life in Tanzania. Either way, the incredible wildlife and landscapes more than make up for the occasional inconvenience.

Resilient and resourceful people and beautiful landscapes.

We spent 9 days on safari in and near the Serengeti and were not disappointed. Experiences seeing the animals and plants from the documentaries was magical. The weather was great, high of 25C. We felt very safe with our guide who was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. Lodgings worked hard to make you feel comfortable and had good home cooked food.

All the wild animals in a very changing landscape

Tanzania is the perfect place if you want to admire wild animals in ever-changing settings. You'll see elephants in the grasslands near the river or see them emerge from the forest. You'll travel from the Serengeti plains to the lakes of Ngorongoro or Manyara.
The Serengeti itself is so vast that its landscape is constantly changing, and with it the animals that inhabit it.
It's highly commendable that the camps and lodges don't use artificial waterholes to attract animals.
The whole country, in general, is very hospitable. The hotels we encountered were always spotless and the people were friendly.

The trip to Tanzania was a dream come true! I saw so many animals in their habitat which was so impressive and can’t be put into words. It was also fun to learn about local culture! Thanks to our operator Kiliclimb Africa Safari, we saw all the Big 5 and learnt about Serengeti, Ngorongoro. Highly recommended!!

Very pretty scenery and an abundance of wildlife

Tour guide was Mowalla. Excellent guide, knew the area and where the wildlife was expected to be like back of his hand. Very impressed by the scenery and by the abundance of wildlife. The Tanzania area was much larger than I expected. Took a lot of driving to cover all the areas. I over packed for cooler weather. Pleased to enjoy the winter weather of 70-75 during the day and good sleeping temperatures in the 50s at night. Sounds a little cold at night but with the bed covers was actually pretty nice. Only rained one time and not much on that one rain to effect anything or any part of the Safari tour. People on tour and the tour guides in particular were very conscious of keeping things clean and picked up. Tour guides were also very helpful in notifying other guides when special animals like the lions and leopards were spotted helping others see the animals too. Sometimes the radio chatter was a bit annoying but when you realized the chatter was letting other guides know of spotting the animals it wasn’t so annoying after that.

To go on a Safari with a operator was a fantastic experience and so worth it. We chosed 4 days with budget camp and are so satisfied. It was well organized and we met people from all over the world. A knowledgeable guide drived the jeep through these three fantastic national parks and let us see many different animals. There is so whole experience was beyond expectations.

The safari we went on was fantastic. We got to see a huge variety of wildlife. We visited in June and the weather was very pleasant and the main tourist season hadn't built up. A barrier to Tanzania is the airport security which seemed pretty disorganised as well as a compulsory insurance tax for going to Zanzibar which seemed basically like a scam. Speaking of Zanzibar, while mainland Tanzania was welcoming , had lovely people and accommodation , Zanzibar Island is poorly designed, overrun with people and doesn't look particularly safe to get out and about on. Our recommendation would be to skip the post safari on Zanzibar and go somewhere safer and more beautiful on the way home.

Beautiful and very peaceful

When we have done some great amount of research of the different locations and the various operators that offer the Safari experience. Since we love to plan everything on our own the research took some decent effort but as we we have analyzed it was worth it. From the flight from Zanzibar to Tanzania Nyerere starting the experience with a very cool relaxed Guide as Abduli the first day was amazing so while going to sleep we asked ourselves? "Is it going to be like this 3 days"?! The answer is Yes it did because day 2 and 3 where as well relaxed and peaceful as well the enjoyment how the animals live in their own habitat. I would like to thank you for this amazing experience.
