I’ve previously visited Tanzania but only on business trips to Dar EsSalam .

I’ve informed my two sons all of their life that one day I would love to take them on an African Safari . I booked us to visit Zanzibar and then booked a two day Safari and we were picked up at the hotel in Zanzibar then flew from the airport over to mainland Tanzania . Our guide picked us up and then took us through Serengeti , we had an incredible day including a wonderful lunch in a restaurant but the amount of wildlife we saw was incredible and I’ve previously been on a small safari in North Kenya and another one recently in Cape Town . They were both very good but this safari in Serengeti was unbelievable and I saw several species of animals I hadn’t seen before . We then stayed overnight in a lovely hotel in Serengeti and the following morning we left at sunrise and drove to NgorNgoro Crater and again the scenery was unbelievable and the wildlife was amazing and the greatest was to
Read more see a Female Cheetah with 5 cubs , once we got to the Crater the wildlife was unbelievable with thousands of Wildebeest and lots of Zebras and Gazelles and thousands of Greater Flamingos in one of the large lakes . The food in Tanzania was excellent , and it was lovely to see lots of Maasai Tribes with hundreds of cattle and goats

This is my second safari in Tanzania. We did a 7 days itinerary visiting Tarabgire, Central Serengeti, Northern Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro. We trusted the Meru slopes safari tour operator at their attention in planning the itinerary really made the difference. We had the chance to see the wildebeest migration on the Mara Riverer enjoyed a bush breakfast at Malaika Lodge: this lodge located near s the northern Serengeti was really intimate with great service and very new and big tent. B the central Serengeti we stayed at Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp: here you can enjoy a beautiful sunset from the pool.
A must you should really do is the balloon ride: 3 am wake up call but the scenic view and wildlife spotting was really superb! After tha landing we had glass of champagne and bush breakfast. We saw many animals including uncountable lions, zebras, gnu, antilopes, 3 leopards, a cheetah’s family, a couple of Rhinos and lots of birds, so we had all big five but also
Read more ugly five (Warthogs, Vultures, Marabou storks, Hyena and Blue wildebeest). Ngoro Ngoro is for sure one of the most iconic scenery where you can have a game drive all over the world. The last day we had horse back ride that was nice but not extraordinary. Before leaving to Zanzibar we spent 2 nights in the incredible propriety of Serval Wildlife: this unique lodge needs to be booked really well in advance but you will have the chance to interact and feed animals, to have a once in life moment that you will never forget. If you are travelling to Zabzibar and you are an animal lover I would also recommend you to visit the cheetah’s rock: a place that really rake cares of preservation of animals where I learned a lot and got the amazing chance to stay with otters and other animals!

This is a bucket list destination and best trip ever. Must look at photos again and again to prove we were there. Our tour guide, Emmanuel from Mambeau was the best! Weather great, scenery great, animal watching great, amenities great... so in short GREAT!

Tanzania did not disappoint! Day 1 we saw the big 5. Day 2 we had seen the ugly 5 and the 9 big. The next 4 days bought amazing experiences seeing large herds of animals and the wildebeest migration. If you want a real safari you need to go to the Serengeti and its surrounding parks and crater! Absolutely fabulous Tour operator and fantastic country!

Tanzania is an amazing country with abundant wildlife. Nature and scenic beauty is unparalleled. Food was very good and easy to find vegetarian food there. People of the country were so kind and honest and hardworking. We never worried about petty theft or crime. I, as a female, felt totally safe the whole time. The safari guide was so knowledgeable and kind. I loved the trip. I would definitely go back again.

THere is a reason that Tanzania is such a popular destination! I loved being among the wildlife and the wilderness of the country, and my brother climbed Kilimanjaro and loved it. The people were so friendly, and the food was good. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed our Tanzanian safari, and then our beach vacation in Zanzibar afterwards. It was beautiful and calming and I loved being there. The sunsets were immaculate - 10/10 vacation, 10/10 would recommend!

As a group of 6 adults we spent a 10-day safari experience through all the major Tanzania National Parks. Acatree Tours & Safaris provide us all the services for the tour (excellent).
We have been in many other african countries on safaris (South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana) but we felt that we could not miss Tanzania and we were definitively right.
Serengeti NP is super abundant with wildlife in this season and we were lucky enough to see all 4 out of the 5 Big Fives that live there. The rhino is only present in Ngorongoro Crater and luckily we managed to get a couple of them as well. The landscape and nature are gorgeous and worth the visit even if you are not so lucky with animals.
Tarangire, Manyara Lake and Arusha NPs are all different and very interesting for a one day drive. They provide a different nature and habitat wrt Serengeti so they reveal to be very complementary.
All camps in the NPs were very cozy and they all provided excellent night

Last but not least, worth mentioning the one-day hike in Mt Kilimanjaro. It is not a common practice, but if you are not going to spend at least a week hiking to the Kibo peak, it is worth considering the one-day tour that drives you to the Shira Plateau at 3400 mt height. There is an easy 3.7km long walk (100mt elevation gain) that allows you getting to the Shira I camp and enjoy the wonderful view of Mt Kilimanjaro, if you are lucky enough with the weather

Tanzania delivers an unforgettable safari filled with abundant wildlife and the Great Migration.

Visiting Tanzania during the peak month of July is a major investment, but it completely delivers on its promise for wildlife enthusiasts. Catching the Big Five and witnessing the awe-inspiring Great Migration were the main purposes of my trip, and seeing those dramatic river crossings in person made every bit of the planning worthwhile. While July does bring larger crowds and higher tour fees, the payoff in wildlife density is unmatched.

Beyond the animals, Tanzania pleasantly surprised me with its comfort and hospitality. I was initially concerned about logistics and sanitation, but I was relieved to find bidets widely available in the restrooms. The culinary experience was equally impressive: our camp chef prepared fresh, hot, and nutritious meals daily - featuring eggs, oatmeal, fresh vegetables and fruits, and even unexpected treats like pork bacon. Coupled with the genuinely friendly and welcoming nature of the local people, every moment in the field and at camp felt safe, comfortable, and deeply enriching.

Loved the Serengeti and saw the big five easily. Ngorongoro crater wasn’t as spectacular as expected (and VERY cold), but maybe we were just unlucky and it was a bad day
