Amazing experience !!!

I went on this trip with my friend Olivia and we have been talking about it for years.
We spent 6 days visiting Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater.

It was difficult to make a choice but finally we went with Earthlife and it has been a super positive experience. We were picked up at 3 am at the airport by our driver and guide Daniel and he stayed with us for the entire stay, drove us safely to Tarangire where we spotted our first elephants and Cheetahs. We saw more animals in Lake Manyara and enjoyed our 2 night stay in Tented camps with hot showers twice day.
During the entire trip, we had good meals and did feel completely safe.

Our guide Daniel has been a great 'travel companion' as well. He was great in spotting animals, explain us how they hunt or what they eat. He was patient and very kind and we also got to know how locals live and what life is like in general.

I can only say the very best about our experience and Deo has done a great job organizing all of that for us !!

Wildlife was fantastic. We saw a lion right next to the truck, also cheetah and leopard very close. It was lion mating season so we got to see that too. Thousands of zebras, many hippos, elephants, etc etc. in the Serengeti there were lots of animals but they were more spread out. Miles of dirt roads sometimes a bit rough and bumpy. September/October was a great time to go because rainy season was over but still lush and green. Ngorongoro crater had a greater concentration of animals and we saw a rhino in the distance thus completing our sigjting of the big five. Our guide, Godson, was super! He was nice and friendly and had an excellent eye for spotting animals that other guides missed. He was also the driver and avoided potholes and washboard roads while keeping an eye out for game. He was interesting and went out of his way to make sure that all our needs were met. He took us shopping on the last day and also met us at 3 in the morning to take us to our flight home. He was the best guide I’ve had in years of traveling. A plus was that there were just 2 of us passengers so we had a private tour. We saw other jeeps with people crammed in jockeying for space to take photos. We took the 14 day Cultural, safari, and Zanzibar tour from Uhuru Tours. We got to do everything on the itinerary and it was well organized and less expensive than tour companies based in other countries. Uhuru is local. Tented camps we stayed at were very nice with toilets and hot showers in the tent and good food. One place we stayed at, we could watch elephants and zebras in a mud hole close by from our porch

Perfect Safari with Soul of Tanzania
Overall rating

We just came back from our safari through the parks in the North of Tanzania: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyase, Ngoro Ngoro Crater, Central and Northern Serengeti.
I was travelling with my family, and it was the first safari experience for my 2 kids, aged 13 and 14.
It has been a stunning experience.
After some research we decided to go for the proposal of Soul of Tanzania, and we can only recommend this safari company.
Our guide, Dominique, was top-class: very knowledgeable, attentive to our needs, very experienced and an expert and careful driver, always willing to look for the best spot to view the cats or a river crossing.
The itinerary was very well designed, not too tiring and with a variety of landscapes.
The proposal to fly back from northern Serengeti instead of driving has proved to be a very good choice.
The accommodation resulted in a perfect mix of permanent camps, lodges and mobile camps, which was exactly what we were looking for. We particularly loved Chaka Mobile Camp in Northern Serengeti: unforgettable!
The hot lunches served every day during the game drives were much appreciated: we always were offered a wide choice of excellent food, and we were using steel dishes and cutlery, which were not only nice, but also are not producing tons of waste like the lunch boxes many other safari companies are providing.
At first I was a bit sceptical about the proposal to meet the tribes at Lake Eyase, we were in Tanzania for the wildlife and I was scared we would end up seeing something really just set up for tourists. After having met the Hadzabe, I must admit that it was just like entering in a time machine.
The wildlife we encountered in the parks just left us speechless: not only the big cats, but also the hundreds of flamingos and pelicans in Lake Manyara, the hyppos fighting for the territory, the thousands of wildebeests crossing the Mara River and the crocodiles hunting for them.
We enjoyed every second of our trip to Tanzania.

Serengeti and Ruaha are stars.Selous has great potential but 90 percent of the reserve is kept aside for hunting which is very frustrating and dumb.Trophy hunting in selous is rampant and for ulterior motives of politicians making money selous continues to be a hunting ground. If this park opens up fully for tourism and sends all the trophy hunters a strong signal to stay at home .This park is will be the best on this planet!Hope it happens soon! Its been proved tourism brings more revenue than stupid ,cruel and destructive trophy huntings!

I had read that November was not the best time to visit most parks in Tanzania but was pleasantly surprised. I saw pretty much every animal i had been told I could see at this park in reasonable numbers. The weather was dry and sunny with a cool breeze during drives. The guide was amazing, the staff at the company Sandland Tours were an example in superuior customer service even in the most basic conditions and I wished I could be on safari forever.

If you want to see wildlife in their natural environment and doing what they do (and yes that means hunting) then Tanzania is a superb trip. In addition to the wildlife the landscape photography is stunning along with encounters with the local Massai tribe. All the camps were professionally operated and there was never a fear for security or safety. This is frankly a trip of a lifetime and we are already planning a return trip to Africa.

The people of Tanzania are some of the most friendliest people I have ever met. The landscape and wildlife can not be compared to anywhere else on earth. Truly an amazing country.
