Uganda is a particular safari destination: if you're looking for the big five this isn't the best place to go. On the other hand Uganda offered me a diversity of experiences, nature and wildlife that few other countries in the world can offer in my opinion.
You can have a typical safari trip in either Murchinson Falls NP or Queen Elizabeth NP, but I much more preferred the trekking on the wild Rwenzori mountains (my favourite place in Uganda), where in one day you can go from rainforest, to bamboo forest, to alpine vegetation. Kibale offers more rainforest with monkeys, chimps, butterflies, insects and plenty of birds. Bwindi is a world premiere destination to track the gorillas, a truly amazing experience that I HIGHLY reccomend to anybody. I went also to Mgahinga NP to track the golden monkeys: another underrated experience. The track at the foot of the Virunga mountains is beautiful and the monkeys are very cute and funny to watch.
In Jinja the adrenaline activities like rafting the Nile rapids was exhilarating, but there are many more to do.
And after all this, when I needed to chill out from these emotions, I headed to the shores of Lake Bunyonyi to dip into its waters and have an easy paddle with a canoe doing some islands hopping.
For these reasons I highly recommend Uganda as a destination for nature lovers.

Uganda, The ultimate "off the beaten track" destiantion in Africa!
Uganda is often linked with gorillas and chimpanzees. The apes are the countries main attraction and adds something extra compared to other more traditional safari destinations. However, Uganda has so much more to offer with some great game parks, unique boat safari's in 3 different national parks, huge forest areas, waterfalls, matoke (bananas) everywhere, mountains with snow, stunning lakes, volcanoes and the friendliest people in the world! On top of that you can venture off the beaten track by going to unspoiled game parks like Kidepo Valley NP. What about visiting unspoiled tribes in the east of the country (karamajong) or hike the Rwenzori Mountains. For real travelers Uganda is a MUST!
Trip of a lifetime!
Ronnie with Dav Safaris was awesome. The people and weather was great. We always felt safe. Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking was amazing. We paid extra to spend time with the chimps that were less acclimated to people. Don’t do that because they stay high in the trees. We LOVED the time with them on the regular trekking tour.
All the tours were worth every penny. Lots of animals to see. We visited the Shoebill birds as a side trip. So glad we did!
We’re def coming back!!

Magnificent Uganda The Pearl of Africa
Through Safari booking we booked a 10-day trip to Uganda with Lulu Safari. Booking through Elvis was simple and transparent. Our guides Samuel, an excellent driver and Claudio, an excellent translator into Italian, satisfied us with all our requests and were very professional, informed about everything, plants, animals, habits and customs. Uganda has given us fabulous scenery from national parks seeing all the animals leopards lions hippos giraffes buffaloes crocodiles hyenas rhinos hundreds of types of birds. the icing on the cake was the gorilla trek that we met after three hours of walking and they were three meters away in front of us. during the journey we met several villages and were able to observe their way of life. We passed through savannahs and forests and mountains and lakes. One thing you can't forget is the smiles of the children. temperatures were pleasant in some places a little warmer in some places a little cooler with two or three afternoons of rain. we felt safe and not in danger throughout the entire trip. we are very satisfied with this trip to Uganda and recommend it to anyone with a bit of a spirit of adventure. Thank you Uganda.

Stunning country, full of explosive and lush nature. Wonderful!
Uganda is a wonderful country, full of explosive and lush nature. We saw many animals (elephants, giraffes, hyenas, lions, leopards, antelopes, zebras, hippos, buffaloes, all types of birds) and the encounter with chimpanzees and gorillas was truly exciting. We found the food good and basically cheap and the people were friendly and smiling. The rangers and guides were kind and very knowledgeable. Definitely one of the most beautiful trips of my life!

Unforgettable
Our 7 days highlight tour with Speke Uganda Holidays was truly unforgettable.
They made us feel safe the whole time and we got to see so much - volcanic craters, local towns with banana, tea and coffee plantations, the big 5, chimpanzees and gorillas. It was an action packed 7 days.
All of the hotels were incredible - we particularly loved Elephant Plains near Queen Elizabeth National Park.
