From our first encounter to our last we were blown away. We had a fabulous tour driver called Peter, from Amazing Memories Safaris. We drove through the madness of Nairobi and headed off to our first destination - Samburu Game Reserve. From the moment we entered, we knew we were in Africa - Giraffes greeted us at the gate and we saw multiple animals on our way to our Samburu camp. This was the real deal! We saw elephants, zebras and various antelope, The next day we added lions, cheetahs and a leopard to our growing list - and so our safari unfolded. Highlights for me were seeing the mass migration of wilderbeest crossing the Mara river with all its dangers plus many gorgeous babies including giraffes, Thompson gazelles, elephants, lion cubs and the most gorgeous playful white rhino you ever wished to see. Each place we went to including, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara had their own uniqueness and we enjoyed learning about this from our guide and also from the locals

we met along the way.
We had nice weather at all stops in early September, with a few afternoon thunderstorms which were welcome and spectacular. We could see changes in the grass growth whilst there that would make life so much better for the people tending their flocks and the animals ranging free.
The accommodation throughout our safari was wonderful - highlights being the food and the comfort of our tents. We loved to swim in the middle of the day and have a rest before our evening safari and we were able to do this at every camp . The little 'spoiling' touches like a turn-down service and a hot water bottle on chilly nights made us feel special. The staff were pretty friendly and responsive and enjoyed some banter and jokes which made getting to know them easy.
Our trip to Kenya was fabulous and I thoroughly recommend making a Safaria trip there. We found it safe and the people were very welcoming.

The part we visited around Mombassa is so beautiful. The old town is certainly worth visiting and at the beaches around you can swim and enjoy the sun.
We went for a safari with Mosaic Tours to Tsavo East and West. A dream come true. We saw the big five close by. It was impressive and beautiful.
Around and in Mombasa you can find nice hotels, cottages and resorts for reasonable prices. It is divers and save.
We also made a 4 day trip tu Lamu Island. A beautiful island with a lot of history. No cars and tuktuks but donkeys and Boda Boda,s. You can make a day trip with an original dhow (original sailingboat). And if you like even catch some fish.
The Kenia that I got to know is worthwhile visiting. The people are so friendly and warm, colourful and helpful. I will certainly come back next year to discover more.

This trip was AWESOME!!!!
We started planning our honeymoon in Kenya in March or April. After sending a few quote requests, we immediately decided to go with Let's Venture Africa Safari. After a few messages with Patricia, we knew we were in the best possible hands. Traveling to Kenya was one of our best decisions we have ever made. Kenyans are super friendly, we felt extremely safe, everything was hakuna matata

Kenya provides great sceneries, wildlife, beaches and mountains. Nairobi is a bustling city of 5M people. Like all cities, it has some great areas and areas to avoid. We went to South Beach in Mombasa and it's a great place if you want privacy and stay at the beach. It's not as developed as the North Beach and getting in and out of the city is not easy. Even though the great migration was over, wildlife viewing in the Masai Mara was rewarding and we got to see four of the big five! It's a great place for bird watchers too. If you want to feel the exhilaration of seeing untouched land, this is the destination.

I would highly recommend anyone take the time and opportunity to visit Kenya. The land is pristine, the wildlife goes without saying, and the people are genuinely hospitable and excited to welcome visitors. This was a first visit to the continent of Africa and to Kenya, so I had no idea what to expect. What I encountered were truly beautiful people who were eager to welcome, share their stories, share their culture, share their dreams, and share their concerns. The place and the people reminded me of how less can really be more. I was also struck by how embracing of nature the people are and how real the constant struggle between man and nature truly is. I would recommend to anyone to visit Kenya. My only regret was that we did not stay longer.

We visited Kenya (Nakuru and Maasai Mara) as part of our honeymoon, and it didn't disappoint.
Throughout our trip, we were consistently stunned by the country's beauty and landscapes. We were incredibly lucky to have seen 'The Big Five' within the first 24 hours. We honestly couldn't believe it!
The food and hospitality we enjoyed was fantastic. We felt welcome wherever we went.
A few tips for first time travellers, be sure to book your Yellow Fever jab before visiting the country - especially if you're planning to fly onto another country afterwards. Customs require this before you can leave the country. Secondly, avoid the East Africa Expressway at all costs. It's the main road from Nairobi into the Mara region and is notorious for traffic jams. We got stuck in on for 2+ hours. However, our driver said that it wasn't uncommon for you to spend the night there when it's really bad.

Our tour to Maasai Mara was an amazing experience. Close encounter with thousands of living animals was an unforgettable one.
Kudos to Lucy and Alex of Savannah Woods Safari for taking good care of us!
