Wildlife and culture
Perfect for wildlife Safari, multicultural full of life cities, really nice people.
You really can feel and see how climate changes are affecting the world.
You can really get to know kenians and reflect on how basic is not always warranted.

Massai mara 3day safari and lake navaisha
We did a three day safari with meektrails and our guide antony.
We were picked up and dropped off at Nairobi airport all included in the price.
Our guide was antony who was excellent throughout in being flexible and getting us to see all the big amimals and the small ones aswell!
Game drives in the massai mara are an incredible experience and would recommend to anyone, especially worth getting up early for the dawn drives as this is when the animals are most active.
Lake navaisha was good but less spectacular although worth the visit if you have time. We stayed at AA lodge which was functional and reasonable but not luxurious.

Amazing Destination!
My adult daughter and I had an amazing time on our tour! You see documentaries on TV and pictures in magazines but to be there and see the animals up close is indescribable! We got so much more out of this trip that we had hoped for. I also recommend paying extra to do a sunrise hot air balloon tour so you can see everything from hundreds of feet above. I hope to have the chance to return to Kenya someday!

It's an amazing place.
It really was an amazing trip. The local people in Kenya are very enthusiastic. Kenya is also very beautiful, and Mount Kilimanjaro is particularly spectacular. And those animals, which are not at all different from the zoo, are very lively. The trip was perfect, here I have to mention Meektrails Safaris company and tour guide Eric, this company is very professional, Eric is also very kind, met all our requests, we saw all the animals! Thank you so much, this trip will be unforgettable.

Masai Mara is breathtaking
We had a great time of 5 days in 3 parks: Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. If you go there, twist it around and start with Amboseli and make sure to spend the most time in Masai Mara.

Amzing wildlife
I enjoyed my trip, but there are few things I must say.
Safaris are overbooked. We had 10 people in the van ( including driver). For people sitting in the back or front sit (next to the driver) it was difficult to enjoy the experience. It was too crowded, sometimes I couldn't even turn or stand up for the view. Missed quite a lot because of that. Bare in mind people in the van won't just let you see. They want to enjoy as well and they won't just sit and say 'your turn now'. Vans should be bigger or less crowded.
People here will give you a price after looking at you and judging how much money you have. Prices are visible only in supermarkets.
Be careful what you buy. Souvenirs often contain bone, skin or plant fragments that are illegal to bring back home.
If you decide to stay in Nairoibi, avoid city centre. It's overcrowded, easy to get mugged. I alsao have beed sexually harrased and called names for no reason. Racist.
Rubbish everywhere. It was heartbreaking to see so much plastic and other stuff along the road. Very bad for environment.
Avoid raw fruits and vegetables, eat only what's been cooked. You never know what kind of water they used to wash.
Food was often cold. We stopped for lunches on our way from one park to another and never had a hot meal. Easy to get food poisoning.
Be prepared to spend a lot of money for tipping people. Every little thing they do for you they will expect you to tip them, some will even tell you how much.
On the good side wildlife is amazing.
You see the same animal many times and still don't have enough.
Most of the parks are really big. You just keep driving.
I liked the fact that they are kept as natural as possible (no modern roads, few stops with actual toilets etc.) Gives you real wild experience.

Better than I ever imagined
We visited Massai MaraLake Nakura and Ambaseli. Brilliant lodges and camps in fabulous surroundings, good food. We saw the Big 5 plus so much more, we had an amazing driver called Jackton who was so knowledgeable and got us the best views, the whole Safari was organised brilliantly by Apodiformes, special mention of Silas who takes care of everything. We found Kenya beautiful and so interesting. Great hospitality and kindness everywhere we went.
Better than I ever imagined
We went to Massai Mara, Lake Nakura and Ambaseli. All the lodges and camps were great, food was very good. We had an amazing guide called Jackton who had the knack to get the best views, and the organising by Apodiformes was perfect. I don't think you could beat Kenya for the wildlife, the hospitality and beauty.
Beautiful landscapes and great wildlife diversity
We went on a 3 days safari tour with Mufasa Travels and had a great time thanks to Joël, our tour operator. He was super accessible and reactive, and organized everything from the airbnb pickup to the train station drop out (to go to Mombasa) after the 3 days.
We drove through Tsavo East and West and had the opportunity to see many different species (a lot of elephants, giraffes, zebras, dears, and a few lions too). August is the perfect season to visit Kenya, as the weather was dry (but not too much) and the temperature around 22/23 degrees.
Thanks for these great memories !
