My Safari in Kenya – A Journey we will Never Forget
We have travelled to many places, but nothing compares to the magic I felt in Kenya. I booked a 3-day safari through Safari Bookings that took me from Mombasa to Emali by train and onward to Amboseli in Jeep, every moment felt like stepping into a nature documentary.
Amboseli: Elephants and Kilimanjaro Amboseli was a dream. One morning, we watched a herd of elephants cross the dusty plains with Mount Kilimanjaro glowing in the background. If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing elephants roam freely beneath the towering silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park is where that dream comes to life. From the moment we entered the park, the landscape felt cinematic—dusty plains dotted with acacia trees, shimmering swamps, and the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro looming like a guardian in the distance. Our driver was phenomenal, effortlessly spotting wildlife and sharing stories that brought the ecosystem

to life.
The highlight? Watching a herd of elephants cross the marshlands at sunset. Calves playfully splashed in the water while older matriarchs led the way with quiet authority. It was humbling and beautiful. We also saw lions lounging in the shade, stalking prey in the distance, and flocks of flamingos painting the wetlands pink. Birdwatchers will be in heaven—Amboseli is home to over 400 bird species. The park is well-maintained, and the lodges nearby offer stunning views and warm hospitality. It’s dusty, yes—but that’s part of the charm. Bring a mask, scarf, a good camera, and an open heart. Amboseli isn’t just a destination—it’s a revelation. If you love elephants, giraffe, gazelles, zebras, monkeys’ hippopotamus and many more animals roaming freely and dramatic landscapes, and raw, untamed beauty, this is the safari for you.
People & Culture
Beyond the wildlife, the Kenyan people made this trip unforgettable. Very friendly helpful, our driver was brilliant knew the route and knowledge of most animal behaviours and their history exceptional driver/guide.
Lodges & Comfort
Each lodge was thoughtfully chosen — from canvas tents under the stars to eco-lodges with panoramic views. The food was fresh, the staff were attentive, and the evenings were filled with laughter and storytelling.
Final Reflection Kenya didn’t just show me animals — it showed me life in its rawest, most beautiful form. If you’re considering a safari, don’t hesitate. Kenya will change you.

Visiting the Maasai Mara was an unforgettable experience. The vast scenery of endless golden plains, dotted with acacia trees and framed by dramatic skies, feels almost unreal. The absolute highlight was witnessing the incredible wildlife — from lions resting in the shade to elephants crossing the savannah, and even the famous wildebeest migration, which is a spectacle of nature unlike anything else. The guides were not only knowledgeable but also very attentive to safety, which made me feel comfortable at all times, even when we were just a few metres away from big cats. What impressed me most was the balance between adventure and security — the park allows you to feel close to nature while still being in good hands. Overall, the Maasai Mara is a place I would recommend to anyone looking for breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable encounters, and a safe, well-guided safari experience.

Kenya is truly a dream destination for nature and wildlife lovers. The landscapes are absolutely breathtaking — from endless savannahs to dramatic escarpments and lush greenery, the scenery constantly amazed us.
The wildlife is just as stunning. I've been on safaris in other countries before, but Kenya offered by far the most sightings. We were lucky to see lions, elephants, cheetahs, and even leopards up close, often within the same day. The sheer abundance and variety of animals was incredible.
One of the absolute highlights was witnessing the wildebeest river crossing — a powerful, once-in-a-lifetime experience that left us speechless.
We also had the chance to learn more about the fascinating culture of the Maasai people, which added real depth and perspective to our journey.
We visited in August, during the migration season, and while that brought amazing wildlife moments, it also meant certain popular sightings attracted many other safari vehicles.

In some spots, the number of cars and the sound of engines did affect the experience slightly — sometimes scaring the animals or disrupting the atmosphere. Still, the beauty and uniqueness of each encounter far outweighed those moments.
Kenya stole our hearts — for its nature, its people, and its raw, wild magic. Highly recommended!

We went on a safari between the Masai Mara and Amboseli, and it was truly thrilling. The Great Migration provided us with many animal sightings, and we were also lucky enough to see four of the Big Five.
Highly recommended!
