If there was one criticism it would be that our tour guide was booked into a hotel in Swakopmund and this caused some confusion because this is where he lived and he stayed at home for two nights. The savings of that unnecessary extra booking for our tour guide could have been given to us. Just a thought for your next customer.

Thank you for organising.

Beautiful and very diverse scenery, amazing wildlife.

We visited Namibia in late October on a self-drive tour, wonderfully organized by Jangwa Tours. The scenery was breathtaking, very diverse, we saw lions, giraffes, elephants, hippopotamus, kudus, oryx, impalas and a number of other animals in their natural habitat. The people are very friendly, very clean everywhere, Amazing experience.

Magnificent view of quiver tree with stunning sunset

For a long time I have made Namibia as my dreamed destination. Our tour operator helps to present a wonder journey of 5 days and 4 nights which covers quiver tree forest and highlights of Namib dessert. We do appreciate that and definitely would love to score 5 out of 5.
However, on our first day to Windhoek airport, we were treated as suspicious guests despite we trying to be friendly to each staff meet in airport. Holding valid visas and return tickets, I just couldn’t figure out why they yelled at us like that. That’s why I reserve one star reviewing overall experience in Namibia.

Probably September is not the best time of the year to visit Etosha, but still very enjoyable!

An experience of epic proportions.

Having already visited Namibia on two earlier occasions for consulting assignments, I had little wiggle room to explore. This third visit was carefully curated as a family thing. Lark Journeys did a fantastic job of curating an experience that flowed seamlessly from start to departure. Nothing short of a memorable journey. Windhoek to Dead valley, Sesriem, Walvis bay and Swapkopmund.

WOW, nothing prepares you for the beauty of the desert

Spent a little over two weeks in Namibia. The desert and the wildlife are just out of this world.
Beautiful landscapes, driving hours in the desert is so incredible.
Amazing wildlife encounters (from lone Oryx or desert elephants in the vast desert, to prides of Lions and massive herds of Elephants in Etosha and the area).
This was the perfect trip, organized to me by Great Explorations Namibia.

The people are also very welcoming, gladly helping and sharing their culture.
Just a perfect country to travel in

Amazing, I loved Namibia

Namibia is an amazing tourist destination. The country has a bit of everything, incredible nature, wildlife, the largest sand dunes, the ocean and the largest national park with the opportunity to do a self drive safari. The lodges are great, offering a wide range of activities.
We used a local travel agent, Southbound Tours, which I highly recommend. I found them through Safari Bookings.
Not to be missed- kayaking with the seals, Sandwich Harbor tour, a catamaran tour and quad biking on the dunes. I loved driving the Skeleton Coast and to spend a minimum of three days in Etosha.

Our tour guide HANZEL made our experience AMAZING!!!

To be honest, we weren't expecting our stop in Namibia to be one of our favorite parts of our trip! Our private driver, Hanzel, was also our tour guide throughout the trip. His customer service, sense of humor, and most importantly - the love for his country made our experience amazing! We saw plenty of wildlife which we weren't even expecting around the desert. The lodge that we stayed at was WONDERFUL!! So well kept and cute, everyone was so welcoming and accommodating - and the chef with her daily buffet - amazing!! My boyfriend celebrated his 40th birthday during our stay, and the staff made him feel so special. The trip exceeded all of our expectations.

I found the booking company to be not as great of customer service experience, only because it seemed disorganized with confirming payments and not as quick with replies or check ins. BUT - the freelancer tour guide they set us up with, Hanzel, was so great! Definitely check if you can request him for your next adventure :)

A Safari to Remember

My recent safari holiday was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded every expectation I had. The sheer variety of wildlife we encountered was breathtaking — I witnessed animals I’d only ever dreamed of seeing up close, which made each day feel magical.

The lodges were luxurious yet welcoming, providing the perfect balance of comfort and charm. Every meal was a culinary delight, and sharing it all with such wonderful travel companions only made the adventure more special. I was also pleasantly surprised by the weather — much milder than I anticipated, which made the excursions even more enjoyable. Especially lucky, it seems, as the dunes were reportedly ice-capped just days after our visit!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organizing this unforgettable journey. Special mention to Christelle from Gondwana Tours & Safaris, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout. She was always ready to
Read more answer any questions, and her helpful, attentive nature made planning the trip seamless.

It was an experience I’ll treasure for a lifetime.

We took a 15 day driving tour from Windhoek and returned to Windhoek. We felt safe at all times, the service throughout the country was incredibly good!
See the Quiver Trees and Giants Playground, take your time and you might see some Hyrax (Daddies) - very cute.
I recommend skipping Ais Ais unless Gondwana have purchased it - very disappointing.
Luderitz is cute and the Nest Hotel is lovely - we had a room looking over the water - nicely placed.
Swakopmund is cute too - one night only tho, not much to see - we drove back to Walvis Bay for a seal cruise - was lovely but staying 2 nights in Swakopmund took a night away from Camp Kipwe - and that was very bad planning - Kipwe is incredible and deserves a minimum of 2 nights.
Etosha is great but we were not looking for Game, so although I found some fabulous Meerkats at the lodge - I would rather have stayed 2 nights at Otjiwa.
