Marvelous.
We went on safari with them and it was wonderful. We chose a mid-range safari and the lodges are wonderful! Everything was well organised. Our guide Papa John is fantastic, he was super professional and helpful. We had a great time. Highly recommended!

Outstanding Safari Guide
We had an incredible 7-day safari thanks to our tour leader, Evans. He is always punctual, well-organized, and extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, environment, and local culture.
Highlights included close up Rinos, Lion and Elephants sighting and great migration ☺️Friendly, professional, and always helpful — Evans Highly recommended!

Friendly service and unforgettable memories with Jocky Tours!
We had an amazing 2-night, 3-day experience! A lion walked right past our vehicle, and an elephant crossed behind us—it was incredible to witness these moments up close. Our driver Joshua was very kind and made a great effort to show us a wide variety of animals. Although we were a bit sad not to see rhinos or hyenas, we were still very satisfied overall. The accommodation at Mara Sopa Lodge was also fantastic. Highly recommend Jocky Tours!

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Jocky Tours!
From start to finish, Jocky Tours exceeded all expectations. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made every game drive exciting and insightful. We saw the Big Five, learned about the Maasai culture, and felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced between adventure and relaxation.
I’d highly recommend Jocky Tours to anyone looking for a top-tier safari experience in Kenya. They truly made our trip unforgettable!

A fabulous experience
We got a new safari vehicle which was huge and very comfortable. Our driver 'Dickson' was a gentleman. I did feel safe with him with but the driving in Nairobi is generally quite scary!
Our first safari drive day 1 started at 4.30pm and within the first hour we saw 2 male lions sleeping!!
Day 2 Masi mara we saw more lions (5 brothers), two cheetah, Elephants up close!! Wildebeest, zebra, topi, Giraffe. It was incredible. Everything I expected and more.
The first camp was Lenchada tented camp. I loved my tent. It has an extremely comfy double bed with lots of blankets and was very clean. At the back of the tent was a full tiled bathroom. There was even hotwater for the shower! Electricity for lights comes on at 6.30pm.
After reading reviews on trip advisor about the Golden palace hotel, which was our day 3 accommodation I requested to change and I got to stay in a lovely hotel at no extra cost.
Overall everything was amazing.
My only slight negatives were I didn't feel we got much information before the safari. I was told by the man who picked us up from the hotel on day 1 and took us to the Jocky Tours office that the journey would be 3, maybe 4hours but it actually took 6!!!! Dickson never mentioned how long the drive would be.
I also was not happy that on day 3 Lake Nakuru once you got dropped at the lake, the only options was to pay extra for a boat ride $20 and $30 for a walk! If you decided not to do these you had nothing to do all day. That was very disappointing and I felt putting the customer in a difficult position to feel presured to spend more money.
I also would like to have known that despite the temperature in Nairobi being 16 degrees and cloudy and cold that once we got to the Mara it would be 26 degrees and hot. We were only told to bring warm clothes.
Overall I would recommend Jockytours and definitely do a tour with them again

Everything was amazing!!!
I don’t even know where to start. The communication before the tour was fast and great, everything explained well. When the trip started there was little african chaos in the office but everyone treat us very well and it was still pretty smooth. Robinsonn - our guide - was even better than we hoped for. He knew everything about the area, made sure we saw the big and ugly five and even more, was always on time, solved any problem that happened and was always in good mood, talkative and was a very good driver as well. I can say we became friends during the crazy long drives and he also told me a lot about his life and life in kenya in general, I can tell he is a good man. The accommodation was also better than expected, It really didn’t feel like budget tour at all. In overall we really enjoyed the trip and will recommend kenya and this company to our family and friends!!!! Thank you

Amazing safari and perfect Jocky Tours from the pickup to the last goodby
My three-day safari in the Masai Mara, staying at Jumbo Mara, was amazing. First of all, kudos to my guide Francis: friendly, flawless, and punctual from pickup to the final goodbye. The organization was excellent, with smooth transfers and great support throughout. The safari itself was particularly lucky (thanks to the weather and to Francis’s experience), and I managed to see all of the Big Five plus lots of other animals. The visit to the Masai village was also nice—somewhat touristy (but then again, that’s what we are), yet it gives you a glimpse into how the Masai live.
The stay at Jumbo Mara was perfect—excellent food (coming from an Italian, that says a lot!) and extremely friendly, professional staff. Would I recommend this combo to my friends? ABSOLUTELY!

Excellent
We joined a 5-day, 4-night group tour covering Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Nakuru, and had a wonderful experience overall. Our guide, Evans, was fantastic — kind, flexible, and always attentive to the group’s needs.
The group dynamic was great, and we became good friends with the other participants. When we asked where people had booked the tour, we found that it was a joint tour operated by multiple companies such as Jungle Jockey and a few others. Interestingly, the prices were the same across all companies, regardless of where you booked. The tour members had different itineraries — some joined for just 2 nights, others stayed for up to 7.
An important thing to note: the entry fee for Maasai Mara National Reserve changes significantly depending on the date. If you enter before June 30th, it’s $100/day, but from July 1st onward, it increases to $200/day. This fee is included in the tour cost, so the total price varies greatly depending on your travel dates. We traveled in early July — just before the Great Migration typically peaks around July 15th — so the timing may have been slightly off to catch the full spectacle.
The tour itself was well-organized and very enjoyable. One minor downside: the safari van had 8 seats, and when fully occupied, one person had to sit in the front passenger seat. That spot may not be ideal for game viewing compared to the back seats with better roof access.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour for those looking for an affordable, group-based safari adventure!

Should have had more variation, but friendly and knowledgeable guides
Our guides Geeman, Steve and Patrick
We stayed at the Sopa Masai Mara, which is a nice place to stay. We had 5 nights there, but in hindsight would have choosen to stay 3 nights in Masai Mara and 2 nights in another park to have more variation.
The safaris was great, although we expected to have some more variation since we had 3 full days of safari + 1 evening safari.
- The first two (evening + 1 full day) we had with Geeman, who was very effective in finding all big 5 both days (!). Impressive.
- We then felt somewhat suprised that we where to go the same route the following day with Steve, who did his job in the same friendly manner as Geeman.
- Thankfully, our wish for variation led us to have a private safari with Patrick, who gave us an experience more in peace, in our pace. He showed us places off the beaten track, and more insight into Masai traditions.
