What an amazing experience!!!
Everything was spectacular from start to finish! The experience was incredible, and the entire Suricata team was impeccable in every way, from the first contact to the last. Our guide, Felix, was wonderful throughout the entire tour. He showed great knowledge of the parks and the animals we encountered. It was truly amazing! I recommend this experience to everyone. If I did it again, I would stay longer π
Highly recommend Suricata Safaris! They provide exceptional service. You wont regret booking with them
Me and my partner just finished a 4 day budget camping safari with Suricata Safaris (July 2025).
I think this may have been the best trip I have ever been on. I loved everything about it. Our driver (Amiri) was amazing π, he was very knowledgeable and got us so close to all the animals. He has the best eye for spotting the animals, without the need for Binoculars, I dont know how he does it! He knew exactly the best spots to go to, to have the best views of the animals and he made sure we got the see the Big 5, amongst many many other animals. Amiri and his colleages kept in touch during the safari and they shared information regarding the wherabouts of animals which was great for us , as we were able to locate all the animals we wanted to see. Amiri was also great fun and kept us entertained during the trip. It was obvious he is well respected with his peers. I wholeheartedly recommend Suricata tours (plus Amiri). The big cats were my favourite, its a tough choice between the Lions; and the Leopard we seen climbing a tree (and back down again). We were in a jeep with 4 other clients, this was so enjoyable! For me, this was better than a private safari as got to meet other people from different parts of the world who all equally enjoyed the experience.
The food during the trip needs a special mention, Salem the chef made fabulous meals for everyone. The food was sooooo good! Hard to believe considering we were at campsites, I don't know how they did it (Salem and colleagues) but the meals they made were so tasty (plus would cater for vegetarians very easily and they even made separate foods for clients who were coeliac). The food during the safari was better than the food at the hotel I stayed at after the safari. There was always plenty of food available so you never went hungry.
The tents at the campsites were already made for us when we arrived with sleeping bags and a mattress to lie on top of. We also had pillows on 2 out of the 3 nights. The campsite had some animal visitors on day 2 and 3 which only added to the experience! Truly a trip i will never forget. Would love to do it again in the future. πππ

Amazing safari with Lewis and James
Lewis was our guide and James our chef for our family safari. They were both excellent and made this trip the holiday of a lifetime we had hoped for.
Lewis is knowledgeable, interesting, easy-going, organised and extremely hard working. We have a lot to thank him for. How James manages to produce varied and really tasty food (and masses of it) in pretty basic conditions, is beyond me. We really appreciate them both and would happily recommend them to anyone lucky enough to get them on their tour.
