Best experience ever
5/5

All went very well, exactly as planned. Charlie our driver worked tirelessly to show us the best experience, find the best animals spottings and solve any problems or questions. Pre booking and during trip communications/ logistics with suricata could be improved slightly but no deal breakers by any means. Provided lunches could have a bit more variety. We would recommend Charlie and suricata without hesitation.

Our tour guide made this trip very special
5/5

Alawi made our safari unforgettable. From the very first moment we felt a real connection with him: reliable, outgoing, and always smiling. No question was too small, and he answered every single one of ours with patience and enthusiasm.
What really stood out was how much he shared beyond the game drives: stories about Tanzania’s history, its parks, and the incredible wildlife we were lucky enough to see. It felt like exploring the country with a friend, not just a guide.
We left Tanzania with amazing memories, and a big part of that is thanks to him. Asante sana, Alawi. If you’re planning a safari, ask for him!

Such a Fun Safari Day
5/5

What a day! We saw lions resting in the grass and later had a beautiful leopard sighting in a tree. The scenery was amazing, and we spent most of the day simply enjoying being out in the wild. It was a relaxed but exciting safari and definitely worth experiencing.

A wonderful day on safari with some incredible wildlife sightings. Seeing the lions resting so close to our vehicle and spotting a leopard in the trees was a real highlight. Highly memorable experience!

Lewis turned an amazing safari into one of the most unforgettable trips of our lives.
5/5

We did a 4-day, 3-night safari with Suricata Safaris, visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and the experience honestly exceeded our expectations.
The biggest reason was our guide, Lewis. He was absolutely fantastic.
Lewis has an incredible knowledge of wildlife and nature, but what impressed us even more was his ability to actually find the animals and understand what they were going to do next. We saw the entire Big Five and almost all of the Ugly Five, as well as lion cubs, lions hunting, cheetahs running and an incredible amount of wildlife throughout the trip.
One moment perfectly explains why Lewis is such a great guide.
At one point, many safari vehicles rushed toward a group of lions and crowded around them. Lewis did the opposite — he drove away. At first we were a little disappointed and wondered why we were leaving the action.
He simply told us to wait.
He looked around carefully with his binoculars, moved the car to a completely different position and asked us to give it a few minutes. Lewis had noticed elephants moving toward a waterhole and understood that their route would affect the lions and make them move.
And that is exactly what happened.
A few minutes later, the lions walked straight toward us and eventually lay down right in front of our vehicle. While most of the other cars were still somewhere behind, we were almost alone with the lions.
That moment says everything about Lewis. He does not simply follow other safari cars — he understands animal behaviour and thinks ahead.
Apart from being extremely knowledgeable, Lewis was also incredibly polite, punctual, calm and tactful. His English is excellent, he is very easy to communicate with, and he knows when to explain something, when to joke and when to simply let you enjoy the moment.
We spent full days together in the vehicle and never once felt uncomfortable or tired of being around him.
Another thing we really appreciated was how flexible the safari felt. Lewis constantly paid attention to our reactions. When we were fascinated by an animal, we could stay as long as we wanted. When he noticed that we had seen enough, we moved on and started searching for the next thing. It never felt rushed or like we were simply following a fixed schedule.
The vehicle was a large Toyota Land Cruiser, perfect for safari. Visibility was excellent, there were charging points, plenty of water, and even wildlife reference books inside about birds, plants, acacias and other things we were seeing along the way.
Accommodation was also very good. We stayed in proper comfortable places, breakfasts and dinners were usually buffet-style, and even the lunches during game drives were much better than we expected. Since you are often eating literally in the middle of nowhere, lunches were picnic-style, but we still had proper hot food such as rice and chicken rather than just sandwiches and snacks.
Before the trip, safari initially seemed quite expensive to me. After experiencing it, my opinion completely changed.
It was absolutely worth the money.
You are not just paying to drive around and look at animals. You are getting access to one of the few places on Earth where an enormous wild ecosystem still exists in front of you almost exactly as nature intended.
For me, this was also something bigger than just a holiday. I genuinely did not expect our planet to still have places this wild, beautiful and alive.
Seeing Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire in person, watching lions, elephants, cheetahs and countless other animals living freely in their natural environment was something I will remember for the rest of my life.
Would I recommend Suricata Safaris to friends? Absolutely.
Would I go again? 100%.
And if I returned, I would specifically ask for Lewis to be our guide again.
Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

The most amazing experience in my life!
5/5

This experience was totally worth the price! I wasn’t expecting such a high level of service: all the hotels were lovely and comfortable, the food was delicious, and everything was smoothly organized!

Suricata Safaris provides transfers to and from the airport, a comfortable Land Rover with chargers and plenty of cold water inside, as well as accommodation before, during, and after the safari if you need it.

And I’m especially thankful to our driver, Lewis, who knows everything about wild animals and nature, knows how to find them, and tells you interesting stories about them in perfect English. He is also a very good driver and a really nice person!

We went on a 4-day mid-range safari and visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro.

Suricata Safaris where the perfect partner for our Safari, friendly and welcoming
5/5

First of all our guide Lewis was fabulous, great knowledge of the animals and locations. The jeep was comfortable with each person having a window seat and plenty of cold water provided each. We stayed in two lodges which were brilliant, all the services you need and very comfortable and the middle was posh tented in the Serengeti with will stay with us forever.
We went on a 4-day mid-range safari and visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro.
Great memories, great company and thank you Lewis for you kind hospitality and great humour.

Perfect
5/5

We had an amazing 5-day safari — and two days in Serengeti and one day in Ngorongoro. Our guide, Melita Rafael, was absolutely fantastic: professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. The company organized everything perfectly, and the route was well planned from start to finish. We were lucky to see lions, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, leopards, and cheetahs — basically the entire Big Five and much more. I highly recommend this company and especially Melita for an unforgettable experience.

Super
5/5

We are absolutely thrilled with our safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro! Yes, the road to Serengeti is quite long and tiring, but all those hours of travel instantly pay off the moment you see the incredible, endless views and the wild nature of Africa.
A huge thank you to our guide, Melita Raphael! Everything was organized to the highest standard, perfectly timed, and very comfortable. Thanks to his incredible professionalism, dedication, and knowledge of the savannah, we managed to achieve a real miracle — we saw the entire legendary African Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard)!
The guide perfectly knows animal behavior, found the most interesting locations for photos, and made our trip completely safe, comfortable, and unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour; it was a truly unforgettable journey of a lifetime!

Do not book - we had a terrible safari experience
1/5

VERY DISAPPOINTING SAFARI EXPERIENCE

We book with Suricata Safaris and unfortunately the experience fell far below what was promised.

No airport pickup:we waited around1h40 with no assistance or information. (They forgot about us)

Itinerary changes without notice: we were suddenly asked to leave our lodge and pack within minutes.

Accommodation issues:we were initially given a shared family tent despite having booked private accommodation.

Poor organization:unclear schedules, little communication and repeated last-minute changes.

Disappointing game drives: our main concern was the quality of the guiding in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

We experienced poor communication, ineffective positioning of the vehicle and missed wildlife-viewing opportunities.

This was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime. Instead, it became a source of constant frustration and disappointment.

⚠️ Our advice to future travellers: THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING WITH SURICATA SAFARIS.
