Exceeded all Expectations - Fantastic
5/5

Communication was prompt and extremely useful during the planning of our trip.
A personal trip to visit people prior to our safari was no problem for them to accommodate. Very flexible.
The Safari itself was just brilliant. John, our guide, driver and information expert was amazing. He accommodated all our extra requests with grace. e.g. can we visit Olduvia gorge, one more photo please, what information can you tell about??? No problem.
We saw animals so close up and in such numbers. He could spot animals we were not even aware of. Would recommend these people without hesitation if you want a memorable trip. Loved every minute.

Finally conquered Kilimanjaro
5/5

In January 2019 my girlfriend and I conquered Mount Kilimanjaro with Regional Tours. We did the 7 days Machame route so that we did outdoor camping all the way up the mountain. The climb was very scenic, with beautiful views of spectacular landscapes. Our crew, consisted of Alex the head guide with the cook and porters and they did everything for us to ensure that we got to the summit and back safely. They were always very cheerful and kept our moods up with their singing and dancing on the mountain.

I am really thankful to the head guide Alex, and your assistant guides. It was an amazing trip of our lifetime we highly recommend Regional Tours!

Superb experience all the way through
5/5

Moonstroll

We had a very positive experience with Moonstroll. Professional all the way through including communication, planning, guidance during drives and making us feel snug in the camp. We did the 6 night, 7 day trip from Maun through moremi, savuti and chobe by Kasane.

Monametsi is a really good guy and you get the feeling that he will be able to plan almost any safari experience in Botswana. He has a great network within the safari community and knows the best subcontractors to use.

We were greeted in the airport upon arrival the day before we began the safari by Monametsi and were treated to a very nice room in Maun to get ready for 6 days sleeping in a tent through moremi, savuti and chobe by Kasane.

The team consisted of O.K, the guide (owner of Heritage Conservation Safaris), Russel, the cook and Taj, the assistant. We could not have asked for better. The food was great, the equipment was obviously tried and tested because we were held dry through multiple heavy showers and O.K. Was a super guide.

A typical day would be getting up at 6:30, then have some breakfast before setting out on the first 3 hour game drive of the day. Getting back from that, you have a bit of time before lunch and then a siesta from 12 to 4 pm where the second 3 hour game drive begins. After that there is dinner at 7:30-8:00 pm and the bed time.

We went in the wet season of February and had some amazing sightings. Obviously all safaris are different and some animals are rare and shy, so take this as a confirmation that you’ll have amazing game viewing but not as a guarantee that you will see what we did: feeding wild dog, 3 separate leopard sightings, mating lions, 20 grazing hippo during daytime, a huge herd of buffalo, swimming elephants, etc etc. Amazing!

Many of the sightings, including 2 out 3 leopards, were 100% due to our guide tracking the animals, talking to other guides. O.K. Was great. He also managed to steer us past a threatening bull elephant in the middle of the road which he handled with overwhelming calm.

Moremi, savuti and chobe by Kasane all three offer something unique and amazing. The experience is very much dependent on season. We went in February during the wet season where the delta is at its lowest and vegetation at its thickest meaning that it is harder to spot wild life through the leaves and that it doesn’t gather at water holes. Even so, we felt like all three places offered fantastic displays of nature.

All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we fully recommend moonstroll to anybody up for a fantastic safari experience. It also feels good to be supporting local guides and operators instead of the bigger lodges owned by foreigners.

Lemosho Kilimanjaro track and Tanzania safari
5/5

In organization of Taste of Africa 3 of us had 8 days Lemosho trail with all three summiting Uhuru peak. All went perfectly - the organization, support team, food - all. We are specialy keen on our guides Bryson and Lucas as thanks to their knowledge we avoided all effects of altitude sicnes withouth ussing any medicine. Both tumbs up for the agency and their mountain team - perfect. It is worthy to mention the rediness of agency to answer to all customizations requested by us. Thanks again.

After mountain experience we took this safari with the same Taste of Africa agency and the result was the same. All “big 5” in our photo albums and many more animals, perfect custom made tour for 3 persons, great accomodation, wehicle and food. I have specialy to underline the skils of our guide/driver Mozes to find the animals and for good safari this is most important. Another perfect experience with Taste of Africa.

Absolutely great experience!
5/5

I really enjoyed every moment of planning my trip and being on safari with Axis. The driver, Joshua, was really wonderful. He kept our tour informed and excited about the adventure. It is clear he has a great passion for this work and that was shared with the group. We were also accompanied by a guide in training, Stan, who was a great addition. He helped Joshua spot animals including a momma hippo and her baby! The tour couldn't have been better.

This affordable safari is great for solo travelers who are into the backpacking style.

Excellent day tour to a waterfall! Unforgettable time!

Very good service and very friendly guide! We had an individual bush walking tour in the Meru area and a lot of fun during the tour and with meeting local people in the village.
We are still in touch and can really recommend Moorland Safaris!

Our safari tour exceeded our expectations!
5/5

We chose Phillimon and Walking Stick after reading reviews here on Trip Advisor. We were after an affordable safari that got us close the wilderness and animals of Botswana and we feel we chose the right one! Phillimon organised our 10 day tour, including a vegetarian menu for us, picked us up at the airport, then he and his team took care of literally everything during our trip. For those unfamiliar with mobile safaris, this means you get to stay in spacious tents, in wilderness campsites only open to mobile safari guides. So on our trip, we rarely saw other people, just elephants and nocturnal animals wandering by. We stayed two nights at each location, allowing us to see different animals each day. We started with a walking safari on Boro Island, which was exhilarating - I've never been so close to these types of animals on foot. And although we were told it's quite rare, over the 10 days we saw 4 different leopards, 2 cheetahs, along with numerous elephants, giraffes, hippos lions, zebras - basically everything it was possible to see in these locations. What we didn't realise was that Walking Stick always runs each group as a private tour; ours was a group of just two. So it felt like a luxury, fully inclusive camp for us. We had an amazing time and as cliche as it sounds, it really felt like a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend Walking Stick if your priority is seeing the animals and experiencing the wilderness.

Excellent service, fast response, outstanding guide, totally recommended
5/5

From the moment I asked for a quote for a safari in Tanzania, the team of Lion King were very kind and responsive, explaining everything with details. They helped me before and during our trip, always with the best disposition. Once in the safari everything went perfect. Our guide Saleh was very kind, always asking if we needed anything, explaining us everything we asked, he really knows a lot regarding history in Tanzania, animals and has an incredible sight. We always managed to take us to the best spots to watch animals.
The hotels and lodges booked by the company are among the best and are totally worth it. I really recommend booking your safari experience in Tanzania with Lion King, you will no regret it.

That was amazing!
4/5

This was our first experience on safari. Everything was great. We met at the airport, placed in the hotel. In the evening came, Hillari, we paid main amount for safari. He asked our preferences in food, when my wife learned that cook can cook separately for her food without gluten, she was very happy! Was one confusion with paying, in the contract not mentioned on the amount of a tip for guide, they were fixed, 10$ with person per day. I think you need it to write in the contract! In our country tips are not mandatory and fixed. But guide the Mandela and cook Salim, great fulfilled his work and very tried, so we were pleased to pay a tip! We really liked it, we will recommend to our friends! The price is very good.
