About: Tanzania
Amazing scenery with more wildlife animals you could wish for
Overall rating
4/5

Wildlife: amazing! We saw the big five and many more. Nearly every animal bit crocodiles.
Scenery : Ngorogoro Crater and surrounding area are breathtaking . Something you won’t see anywhere else in the world .
The Serengeti is very beautiful and unique itself . Tarangeri Nationalpark was nice , too.
Lake Manara was not my favourite, as you can’t really drive up to the lake , you only see it from a distance . Further up in “the jungle” we saw plenty of monkeys and elephants, which made up for it.
Weather: a little bit chilly during the night and early morning, afterwards very hot.

Accommodation- the tents were put up for us every night which was great, we just wished they would have told us to bring a pillow, they provide sleeping bags but it might be more comfortable to have your own for cleanliness reasons.
The campsite near lake manara , where we stayed the first and the last night of our 6 day trip was very nice (it’s called “Fanaka”) , the stuff was very friendly , you could even put your own drinks in their fridge, and there was hot water in the showers .
But! The campsite in the serengeti , especially the facilities where just terrible, so we didn’t have a shower for 3 days. I‘d recommend to pay the extra money and get a tented lodge .
Food was ok.
Our guide Moody was a very friendly.

Amazing short tour, Expert guide!
5/5

A well organised tour that allowed me to visit these two amazing parks, Tarangire and Ngorongoro, and get up close to see the wonderful animals. Thank you very much Elifasi in the office for the great communication and a great itinerary and to my guide Sied for his expert knowledge of the animals and areas covered. Also thanks to the guy who met me at the hotel at the start of the tour and once again on departure from Arusha to make sure everything had been all good. Cheers and thanks!

Fun, Knowledgable, Professional
5/5

My group of 4 friends and I did the 3 day itinerary which included Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. Ozzie was our guide. He was funny and filled with knowledge. It was an awesome time and Anna was so responsive that it made it easy to change things on the fly. They also worked with us to pick us up at different times on different days from the airport and arrange extra lodging for us since we stayed more days in Arusha. We did one night of glamping which was fun and one night in a lodge which was plush and so comfortable. All the food was great and they even had beer for us to drink.

I also HIGHLY recommend going on a coffee tour that LKA offers that departs from Arusha. We walked around and through a village, hiked, and ate some amazing food, not to mention the coffee we made as well. Our guide, Clemency, is from the village so walking through we got introduced to his stepfather and stepbrother. He taught us a bit about the culture and some Swahili as well.

Really good guide!
4/5

The Safari in Masai Mara and Nakuru Lake is ideal for a group of friends, family or couples who are looking for an adventure and some peace and quiet. I went alone and It was amazing as well!
The Lodge in Masai Mara and the Hotel in Nakuru Lake are situated near to the Game Reserve, both very clean, confortable, staff are friendly and there is hot shower during some hours per day (Masai Mara). The only thing is that I spent my first night in a shared room (even if I booked a private).
Aroni was our guide for 4 days and I really enjoyed his company, ponctuallity, knowledge about the animals and the places we’ve been, africain culture and enthousiasme doing his work! Really good driver as well! I would recommend Aroni to anyone.

A dream!
5/5

A wonderful safari? An unforgettable trip? A dream? All this together, and much more, thanks to Features Africa with Evans and Steve. Steve was our guardian angel during our 6 days safari to Amboseli, lakes Elmentaita and Nakuru, Masai Mara. Steve was a very cautious driver in the busy roads around Nairobi, but he was also very capable on the muddy tracks in Masai Mara. He loves nature, animals and his country, and he was happy to share with us his knowledge, telling us a lot of interesting things about the wildlife. Evans also spent a couple of days with us. He is a great photographer and gave us some useful suggestions; we were even able to borrow some stuff from him. Both Steve and Evans were very generous in doing their best to allow us to see as many animals as possible. They both are very kind, friendly and respectful. The safari organization was more than perfect, everything was carefully planned. The lodges we stayed were a very positive surprise. What else? Hoping to come back soon! And thousand of thanks Evans and Steve, we'll never be able to forget our trip, and you of course!

Wonderful Lesotho Adventure
5/5

After having given my husband and me a fine and very instructive overview of Bloemfontein Benjamin took us to Semonkong Lodge in Lesotho. What an adventure! Lesotho is so beautiful and Semonkong Lodge and the trek we made next day to Maletsunyana Falls are some of the most authentic and breathtaking experiences we have had - and we have travelled extensively in Southern Africa.
In other word: we highly recommend Siya Phambile Expeditions. The service was great and Benjamin is an excellent, caring, and charming guide.
The trip highly exceeded our expectations!

Absolutely wonderful experience - would recommend to all who visit Uganda.
5/5

We booked a 9 seater van with a driver for a week to travel around Uganda. We started in Kampala for two days, then went to Mbale and Soroti, including a day trip to Kaberamaido and then to Jinja and back to Kampala.

The best thing about the company was our driver, HARUNA, who was wonderful. He was punctual, well-mannered, polite, kind, flexible and helpful. He was happy to accommodate all our needs including when we wanted to stay out rather rather at night or go to obscure locations. He made us feel safe and ensured our comfort at all times. Please do ask for him if he is available. He was like a family member for us over the course of the week.

The company itself was excellent. Phionah was easily contactable by email ensuring that we had no worries prior to the holiday and that all our questions were answered. We were travelling in a big family group and were all very happy with the service in every way and highly recommend it to all visiting Uganda.

We had a wonderful 19 day safari experience with Wildebeest Safari
5/5

My wife and I did an extended 19 day safari with Wildebeest Safaris in January 2018, making a big loop through Kenya and Tanzania, visiting Samburu, Ol Pajeta, Aberdare, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Amboseli. The safari more than exceeded our expectations. We had the time of our lives and would highly recommend the experience. Everything was as promised and everything went smoothly. All of the guides were first rate - very knowledgeable, experienced and highly skilled, fun to be with and great at finding wildlife and getting us really really close to it. They added a tremendous amount to the experience. We always felt safe and in good hands. We never got stuck, despite dealing with serious mud or sand at times. We had Dennis for 9 days in Kenya, Chotara for 7 days in Tanzania and Andrew for the last two days in Amboseli. You cannot go wrong with any of these guys.

We saw all of the marquee wildlife that East Africa has to offer, including 3 leopards, 11 cheetah and over 80 lions - and 1 serval and 3 genets. In Masai Mara we saw all of the Big 5 just in one morning. We got close to big cats feeding at 4 fresh kills ( lots of gore), had ring side seats to a stand-off between cheetah and hyena, saw lions mating close-up (repeatedly) and even saw lion cubs nursing and a cheetah (with her cub) chasing a gazelle. And that’s just the cats!

All of the lodges and camps were clean and comfortable, and often downright luxurious. The food was generally good and certainly was plentiful. The itinerary suggested by Noah of Wildebeest Safaris was varied and exciting and avoided too many long travel days. In setting up the trip, Noah was always prompt and professional in responding to any questions or other communications.

All in all, it was a first rate trip with Wildebeest Safaris. Our only quibbles would be that binoculars were missing or broken in 2 of the vehicles - so it would be best to bring your own - and some of the seat belts in the Landcruisers need attending to.
