The best taste of Africa that a 14-day tour would allow, superbly organised by Jewel of Africa.
When looking to visit South Africa we examined the tours offered by several operators, but settled on Jewel of Africa Safaris for the promise of a personalised, bespoke tour at a reasonable price. They more than lived up to our expectations. Our tour was organised by Elize, who was a pleasure to deal with, personable and knowledgeable, who arranged a great tour after listening to us about our interests and what we would like to see and do. Unlike some tour organisers, she maintained contact after finalising the tour which made us continue to feel involved and heightened our anticipation. During the tour we also met Neil, one of the owners, again that personal touch which we appreciated.
After overnighting in Johannesburg we spent the best part of a week at two safari camps, Phelwana Game Lodge and Bateleur Safari Camp. Each gave us a different experience, but together we were able to see a wide range of African wild life, including the "big five". We also toured the Panorama Route. Then to Cape Town, where side trips included a Cape Peninsula Tour, the Cape Winelands, and of course Robben Island. Then to Victoria Falls, where we stayed at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. All in 14 days. The hotel accommodation at Johannesburg and Cape Town was first class, and in the case of Cape Town, the Commodore Hotel at which we stayed was right on the V&A Waterfront, as well situated as it could be. Accommodation and all-included meals at each of the three safari lodges, including two luxury tent stays, was for us unique and an experience in itself. The organisation of transfers and flights was seamless, with no hiccups or delays.
All in all, Jewel of Africa Safaris made our first overseas visit after Covid probably the best. An experience we will long remember.

Great Experience in Botswana
We are group of seven family members, from US and China, we booked the 8-day Botswana tour with Kalahari Marsh Safari in late May. The trip started at Maun and ended in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Lucky was the organizer, LT was our guide, Sarah was the chef, with two other helpers for the daily work. They all accompanied us for the entire trip.
We have been to E. Africa safaris before, but we stayed in lodges all the time. This trip was the first time we did camping for multiple days. It was a great experience. Sarah cooked good food every day. LT is the best safari guide we have had in Africa. He has 35 years of experience as a guide, he knows the habits of all the animals, and has the knowledge and instinct to find them. We observed amazing wildlife in Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. It was a beautiful place to experience Africa. Listening to LT to share his lion encounter stories was an added plus.
Lucky was very responsive in setting up the trips, he answered questions quickly, and patiently. The itinerary was full and busy. We get up at 5:30am everyday for the morning game drive. The 8-day trip certainly was not luxury. Sleeping in tents can be cold. But we saw wild dogs and hyenas around the tents some nights. These were unique experiences. Some days the drive was long and dusty. Our equipment truck had a couple of breakdowns, but Lucky and the team fixed the problems without much impact on the schedule.
We highly recommend Kalahari Marsh for Okavango Delta safari.

I would recommend Africa Zim Travel to other travellers. The staff (Pamela) who was in the administration was very helpful always communicate to see if everything was ok.
The tour guide (Cosmos) who was exceptionally helpful, very pleasant, very polite, very knowledgeable, always making sure that my husband and myself was well looked after with food, accommodation would check on us if there was anything that he could do for us.
On the safari drives he would make sure we were taken care of.
The safari drives were excellent they would spend time to make sure we saw the big 5.

Trustworthy operator who goes to great lengths
The seven day safari brought us to some very beautiful places in Kenya. The tour operator was very kind, and went to great lengths to drive us everywhere. The value for money and reliability is incredible. I wouldn’t have expected that for a budget tour. Sometimes the communication could’ve been better. I would’ve personally liked to have a clear idea about the next day on the evening before. Sometimes it was a surprise what we were exactly going to do.

Excellent from start to finish
I went with 7 friends on a tour around the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
It was our first time and Godson couldn’t have been a better trip manager, guide, and everything else!
Some of us were flying from different destinations and had different requests, and Godson was able to design and tailor a safari to cater all of us.
We truly enjoyed our trip, Godson is an extremely knowledgeable guide with true real life experience in the field. He is also very calm and very nice to deal with.
He took care of everything from start to finish. It exceeded our expectations

Perfect organization and execution of our safari with the family
We had a wonderful experience with Beast Spoor Safaris. We were on a 10-day trip in Kenya and Tanzania with our teenage children. The whole organization was really good and the hotels and tented camps very well selected. Also the drivers and cars have been just outstanding. First African Safari
This was my first African safari, and I used the Safari Booking platform to obtain various quotes. Serengeti African tours was the first and best quote that I received. I was looking for more days in the Serengeti and a low cost. I didn't mind the idea of camping instead of staying in a luxury lodge. There a several things that made my experience memorable. First, I believe the timing of my trip helped. My safari was during the beginning of June. The weather was quite cool and pleasant. Also, it was off peak season, so there weren't that many tourists. Second, the team at SAT was very friendly and helpful. Communication prior to the trip was responsive. The guide, Abu, and the chef during the safari were excellent. Abu was very knowledgeable and friendly, going the extra mile to ensure that we are able to see as many animals as possible. The chef prepared delicious meals during our trip. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all varied and delicious. Finally, what made my safari additionally memorable were the other travelers that I joined during my safari. I met many wonderful people from different countries, and my experience was more memorable sharing the safari with them. Thank you SAT for making my first African safari so enjoyable.
