Unbelievable trip of a lifetime!
5/5

Our trip, masterfully arranged by Bev of Elephant Herd Tours, was magical - the absolute trip of a lifetime. Within a relatively short time - 8 days - we got to see so much of South Africa and Eswatini. I travelled to Johannesburg on a work trip and then extended my stay to go on this safari, and I am so glad I did.
We had multiple safaris in Kruger, enjoyed incredible vistas on the Panoramic Route, and visited several well-known game reserves such as SabieSands, Kruger, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi, and iSimangaliso. We got to enjoy the savannah, the bush, the mountains, the high and low veld, the coast, the estuary, and the Indian Ocean. Completely unforgettable moments, the accommodations were great - especially the Zarafa, which was magnificent in every way - we saw the big five multiple times, had close-up and personal interactions with elephants, and got close to wild lions, spotted cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, giraffes, monkeys etc. My teenage daughter learned so much about animals and nature conservation in the process.
Bev was flexible and adapted to our wishes when we had last-minute requests. We felt looked after and cared for the whole way; the guides were stellar, appeared to be having as much fun as we were, and were always ready to answer our many questions and provide in-depth, thoughtful answers. Highly recommend Elephant Herd Tours and all we encountered there, from Bev and Brandon in the office to Trevor and Wesley, Kallie, and everyone else at EuroZulu (namely Johan, Sabelo, and Siyabonga) who took us on several game drives and boat trips up the estuary. I would give this trip 10/5 stars if I could as it exceeded all expectations several times over. Amazing!

The experience was definitely one of a kind. Our guide Amiri is a very experienced driver with a very sharp eye. We managed to catch the big five, even a rhino that is very hard to see twice! Amiri is also very knowledgeable about every animals and I definitely learned a fact or two. This trip is highly recommended!

Amazing!
5/5

We needed to be picked up in Kigali (Rwanda) and everything was like it was supposed to.
He picked us up on time and then, our trip started. We booked a two day tour, because we needed to be back in Rwanda on the next day. The hotels were incredible, and also the program. We were not only with the gorillas, but we also had a boats tour and visited a tribe, that lived with the gorillas before.
Amazing!!!

Reliable and helpful all the time and really committed and friendly.
5/5

Since contacting Africa Starpal they were always helpful and wanted our safari to be the best experience for us. We couldn’t be any happier with them! We did the 7 day safari starting in Nairobi where we had a great hotel with the best breakfast. We drove to Samburu National reserve and stayed at Sopa Samburu Lodge, much recommended. The first game Drive was incredible and just how we imagined it! Morris, our driver always made sure we know everything about the animals and the nature we saw. The second park was at Lake Nakuru. Morris made sure that we see some rhinos, which you can spot there. After this we went on to Amboseli Nationalpark and stayed at the Manjaro tented camp, one of the greatest experiences we had on our trip. The owner walked around the camp with us and showed us many animals at night. The park was amazing and we did a full day game Drive where saw a male lion directly at our car aswell as 9 lioness. It was truly amazing. We were dropped off at a train station in Voi and got picked up at Mombasa of a friend of them. He brought us safely to our hotel at the beach. We’re more than happy with our choice and would recommend them everywhere.

Extremely responsive and reliable, amazing guides, great value
5/5

My wife and I booked Meru Slopes for both the 3 day Mount Meru hike and the 5 day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara). Leading up to the trip, we were extremely pleased with how responsive and helpful Jerome was in answering all of our questions about packing list, coordinating airport/transfer logistics, and making sure my wife’s food allergy was accounted for. All of the logistics were perfect, all drivers were reliable (and even taught us a bunch of Tanzanian music, which we loved). And the guides (Paul and Jonah on Meru, Jacob on Safari) and chefs (Jacob on Meru, Dula on Safari) were excellent (the soups here are so incredible…). Would 100% recommend this company to anyone else looking to book either the hike or safari or both. The accommodations exceeded our expectations and we felt that the tours were great value for the trip of a lifetime.

Action-packed
5/5

If you are after the ultra pro max of game drives, you’ve met your match. Being the F1 fanatic he is, Steve lives on a motto of the efficient and effective. Your game drives will be on 1.5x speed but don’t be fooled, his 50/20 vision will spot things not visible to the naked eye. If you aspire to be the Pokémon master of safari, you’ll be sure to catch them all with Steve and have the best time while at it. He’s also so knowledgeable about the animals and the routes which made for an action-packed experience. We were so sad to depart with him and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. See you around, Mr International!
