A very good experience with Ewamanns Safari
5/5

I happened upon Ewamanns Safaris on the internet, very wary about what how people wax lyrical about safari companies (only to discover the review is being done by someone connected to the company). Having said that, I would like to state that I only knew 4 people in Kenya before I went and they were Americans ... so no connection to this company.

At no stage was I even a little worried that this was a dodgy company - communication with Erick, the guy in charge, was seamless and done by both email and whatsapp. He responded to my initial enquiry very promptly, providing me with price (very reasonable) and departure dates (which fitted perfectly for my short time in Kenya). I arrived in Nairobi the night before I left for Masai Mara - Erick and I communicated by SMS (no data on my foreign cell phone for Kenya) to finalise where and when I would meet him. At 8am the next morning, we met in the heart of town and he introduced me to the guy who was taking the safari. He made sure that I was all set (getting me 4 bottles of water to take along) before the safari left.

On arrival back in Nairobi 2 days later, Erick organised for his brother to take me out to the suburbs for the cost of a normal taxi fare to where I was staying (a good hour+ in Nairobi Friday afternoon traffic). This was very much appreciated as I did not have to find my own taxi and I felt safe.

And on top of that, the safari was excellent (heaps of animals and beautiful scenery).
Would I use this company again? Yes due to good communications leading up to (and after) the safari and because the price of the safari was very good (others paid more than I did for the same experience).

It was such a fantastic trip I'm speechless in writing this review!
5/5

I am rarely at a loss for words but we had such a great experience I'm really struggling to describe it! Brenda and her team thought of every detail, and they were friendly and organized and very experienced! The pre-trip communications were detailed and clear (you can even do a video skype in advance!), and every piece of logistics and coordination was pre-planned and went according to schedule. We knew just what to expect- but not everything! There's no way we could have imagined the incredible sights we saw! We did a day trip to Ngorongoro Crater from Arusha. The box lunches were great, and they even had hot coffee and tea made up for us after lunch, while we watched the hippos swim in a pond on one side, and lion cubs lounging around far off on the other side of the picnic area. We were a group of 3 vehicles and every driver was great, spoke excellent English, and really knew the area and the park. And from the minute we arrived, the views of the animals were nothing less than majestic. It was a memory that will last a lifetime! I cannot recommend Tanzania Choice Safaris enough!

Terribly
1/5

Cheating at every step. 1 liter of water for two persons for 4 days safari!!!! Calls Eric did not help. We had to buy in the budget camp. In the car was 9 persons instead of 6. 9 !!! The car is very very old and dirty. We did not see a leopard, the driver did not stop when we passed monkeys and other animals. view time was on his way. The food was just disgusting. Pancakes and beans. National park covered with roads, animals, even pity.
In Nakuru are pile of garbage along the lake. It's shame for the National Park.
There is no transfer back to the airport. Avoid this operator.

I had great time!
5/5

Drive was smooth as much as it can be. The guide was pretty helpful with relevant information and interesting facts while on the trip that was for three day. Guide picks you up from you place and leaves you back at your place. The personal cook was great, the camp and the tents was pretty cousy with two beds, toilet and bathroom inside. I really had great time!

4 Days gorilla trekking and Golden monkey tracking in volcanoes national park
5/5

When I heard that there are golden monkeys, this is all I wanted to see. I have several questions just created within me that I had to find answers to .After making a little research about them on the internet, It was time for my own experience so I booked a 4-day gorilla trekking safari to Rwanda. I was able to track gorillas, visit the Dian Fossey grave and track golden monkeys . So much in the such a little time.

Our best birthday trip ever!
5/5

Our first time visiting Africa, we hope that it will not be the last! Olivia did a great job organizing our trip to make sure there were no snafus in traveling around Zambia and South Africa. Each of the four hotels/lodges we stayed at were beautiful with Phinda Mountain Lodge and Tongabezi being the most beautiful. We experienced things that I am not sure we will be able to top on this trip. Our Cape Town guide was awesome! He got me a discount at Shimanski on some jewelry and was able to give us the scoop on what's good in the city. Olivia and Rob are excellent and it was a pleasure being able to work with them!

Great diversity in their offerings....a good blend/mix of activity

I saw some great reviews of Viva online in my pre-trip info seeking process & after trying many others, i decided to work with Piero & Viva team. Absolutely great decision for us as t went perfectly well. In fact a friend of mine from the US also recently met me after Kruger in my island & he was talking about his Kruger experience & to see it was also via Viva to the same Tremisana & the Marcs Tree Camps. I was simply shocked positively & happy for him. Currently also there is a peer of mine at Tremisana from UK. Great set of team members with friendly positive attitude to make you feel good...food is yummy....the spread could be better though as in the variation + spread they can get a bit more creative specially when you are on a 5nights 6 days with them......They had thrown in a bit of everything to experience so it was great.....Kruger full days, Bush brai's, night drives at Balule & also Tshukudu, the moholoholo visit....the cat interaction opportunities etc

About: Safarihub
Russian group in Tanzania
5/5

We were a group of 10 university friends who had decided to climb Kilimanjaro and do a Tanzania safari for our next alumni. The trip was well planned and most importantly the service we received for climbing Kilimanjaro was just as promised, and yes we all summited!!
The personal touch and briefing before every part of the trip was very encouraging and made us feel safe in a foreign land. The vehicles and driver staff were very nice and we pretty much got what we paid for. I would recommend Safarihub for people planning a trip to Tanzania, especially Kilimanjaro climb.
