Professional company, experienced guide, attention to customer's needs.
5/5

They were extremely serious and professional. I had to cancel the trip last minute and they were flexible to reschedule it the following weekend. As for the safari program they had their own proposal but happy and flexible to adjust to my needs (if you say you want to stay in a different hotel or do additional activities other than those proposed by them it's no problem). The guide was experienced (former park ranger) and always happy to answer questions about animals, the country, the culture ecc. He was also very helpful, proactive and practical.

Another unforgettable trip to Masai Mara
5/5

It was our first trip to Masai Mara National Park from 13th Dec to 18 Dec and it was unforgettable one!!

The trip was brilliant... we saw a lot of animals, even if the wildebeest had migrated we still saw quite a lot. The accommodation was great. We stayed at The Mara Intrepid which was very clean. The staff were fantastic who made sure that everything was perfect.

Many thanks to Sam who was so helpful in planing this trip with us and never got tired to answer all our endless questions.
Barizi Safaris was perfect and we will definitely plan our next trip to Mara or other destinations with this very special and knowledgeable travel agency again!

Thanks again and all the best to you all form making this trip so wonderful!!!

Friendly on the time staff
3/5

Communications: This was great before our arrival. After that, we had no communications, we had to find out ourselves what time we would be picked up for transport to the airport on departure.
Safari could not give us the best prices for activities, we had to spend a lot of time looking for good prices.

Had a breathtaking experience with my family, up to date we still find ourselves talking about it. The choice of the holiday destination was the best so far especially for a family setting. You surpassed our expectations by far, we look forward to many more tours with Adventure Africa

Tanzania through a child's eyes
5/5

If you are looking for an all-inclusive vacation in Tanzania, look no further than Breakdown Safaris. My seven-year old son and I spent seven days in Tanzania, three in the Selous Game Reserve, and three in Zanzibar and Chumbe Island, and we never had to worry about a thing while we were there. Every detail of our trip was taken care of by Kathy and Fanuel from helping us to decide on the right adventure to make all of my son's wishes come true, to helping us properly pack for the trip to even making us dinner reservations for New Year's Eve in Zanzibar.

While in the Selous, we stayed at the Selous River Camp. The accommodations were comfortable despite the heat. The staff at the camp was great. They made sure every need was met, and even provided a guide to walk us to and from our hut at night. Breakdown Safaris offered us three different ways to see the Selous, providing us with a driving, walking and boat safaris. We saw every animal we hoped to see, including a two different groups of elephants and lions. Fan is extremely knowledgeable of the reserve, and its wildlife. He provided us with a wealth of information about each of the animals and the local tribes.

At the end of the trip, we spent two full days on Chumbe Island off the coast of Zanzibar. This coral reef park is a place only found in your dreams. The water: several shades of aqua; the sand: white powder; the snorkeling: the best I have ever experienced. We had the opportunity to snorkel morning, noon and night, and we did just that. The amount of marine life within the coral reef is amazing. We saw everything from sea turtles, hundreds of angel and trigger fish, spotted sting rays to a black tip reef shark. My son's favorite were the sea cucumbers, oh and the hermit crabs which cover every inch of the island. Like the Selous River Camp, the staff and rangers at Chumbe are top notch. The rangers worked with Cooper on our first snorkeling trip and helped him to get completely comfortable maneuvering the waves. The food on the island is also amazing. Every lunch and dinner is complete with several selections of fresh seafood.

This vacation went well above and beyond all expectations my son and I had. If you want a vacation that is well planned, well organized and customized to your every need, then you need to book it through Breakdown Safaris!

A great private safari for a very competitive price
5/5

We had 4 free days before our Kilimanjaro climb, and decided to spend the time on a safari.
Homeland adventures was the only tour operator at the time who offered Serengeti and Ngorongoro in a 4-day package (as opposed to 5 days).
We were pleasantly surprised that the price that we paid (which was quite reasonable) gave us a private jeep with a guide and a cook and just the 2 of us. Accommodation conditions were good. Food was as good as anybody else's (it seems that everyone on safari was getting standard meals).
The safari experience was excellent! We highly recommend it.

I visited Queen Elizabeth only briefly and likely didn't get the full experience. Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck seeing wildlife. We did, however have a nice camping and dining experience.

Review about Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by eleeg78
Overall rating
5/5

Bwindi was an excellent, if expensive, experience. I'm often asked if it was "worth it" and honestly that's a tough question. The price tag is really high, no doubt. It was an incredible day though and I justify it to myself as voting for conservation.
