Poor guide and disappointing customer service
I had high hopes for this operator after reading so many good reviews on different platforms. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing like what I expected.
If you join their shared tour, you might be grouped with customers from other operators and assigned an outsourced driver. There were around three different groups on our tour. Unfortunately, I got a really bad driver, Ali, and honestly, I don’t think the operator did a good job checking who they were putting in charge of their customers.
I emailed the operator to complain about Ali. He barely spoke to us, and we left almost two hours later than scheduled. They replied saying they would change my car and driver, but that never happened. My email was basically ignored.
What made things worse was that Ali actually confronted me and asked why I had complained about him and whether I had a problem with him. that was really unprofessional and very uncomfortable.
And over the next few days, everything I was worried about became reality. He barely explained anything during the game drives. He would just drive around without telling us about the animals or anything happening around us. Honestly, he felt more like a driver than a guide. We even had to ask him to stop because we wanted to see animals nearby.
The whole experience was disappointing, especially considering how much I had looked forward to this safari. What’s even worse is that the operator still hasn’t responded to my concerns.
If you’re planning to book with them, I’d suggest asking whether you’ll be assigned their own in house guide or an outsourced one, and checking the guide’s experience beforehand.
Unfortunately, this was not the safari experience I had hoped for at all.

Professional and excellent
The service of this company is very good. At the beginning of October, the dry season was coming to an end and entering the rainy season. We were very lucky to see the wildebeests crossing the river and gathered the African Big Five. We will be back again and choose this company😁

An unforgettable Kenya safari experience
We had a wonderful 8-day private safari in Kenya and really enjoyed the whole journey. The itinerary was very well arranged, taking us from Amboseli to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara and finally back to Nairobi. Each place offered a different experience, from the elephants and views of Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli to rhinos in Nakuru and the incredible wildlife in the Maasai Mara.
Our driver guide, Ken Wandera, was one of the highlights of the trip. He was always ready early in the morning, waiting for us so we could start our game drives on time. He was very warm-hearted, patient and hardworking, and he always tried his best to help us, including arranging food from the hotels when needed.
Ken also worked very hard to find wildlife for us. One of the most memorable moments was when he helped us find the leopard Luluka, which made the safari even more special. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, rhinos and many other animals, and we felt Ken really cared about giving us the best possible experience.
The trip was well organized from beginning to end, and the overall value for money was excellent. Although there were some long drives between the parks, the scenery, wildlife and Ken’s effort made everything absolutely worthwhile.
Overall, I would highly recommend this safari, especially for anyone visiting Kenya for the first time. Great itinerary, great service, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Africa.

Outstanding care and a unique experience
We met Dany at the CMT 2026 trade fair in Stuttgart. We hit it off immediately and felt 100% confidence in her, her husband, and the proposals and offers she presented to us. Less than two weeks later, we booked the trip. The entire process was straightforward and seamless from the very beginning. Even when internet access in Tanzania was down for a few days, it was no problem at all to discuss, email about, and prepare the trip arrangements. We arrived on August 21st. Everything was organized to perfection from the very first minute. A staff member from our first hotel was already waiting for us at the airport to take us to the hotel. The safari began right on schedule. Our personal guide accompanied us on an incredible safari over the next 10 days. Thanks to his intimate knowledge of the national parks, he led us to amazing, unforgettable locations where we could experience the wildlife up close. He made it his personal mission to show us the "Big Five"—a goal he achieved with flying colors. When organizing the trip, Dany made sure we could experience local life away from the usual tourist trails; for instance, she arranged a private lunch at her mother-in-law’s home, set right in the middle of a banana plantation. The subsequent tour of her mother-in-law’s village gave us a real, intimate look at the Tanzanian way of life. Another advantage was that we were able to meet Dany in person twice during the trip to discuss final details and even book a few extra activities for the second leg of our journey in Zanzibar. We received personal, tailored service built on a foundation of deep trust in Dany and her husband—an experience we can highly recommend. For the same price, we would have received significantly less value from the other providers. Therefore, it is highly recommended.

A phenomenal Kilimanjaro experience
What a phenomenal experience! We had Charles and Zach as our guides and a team of porters who were all absolute legends. Full of experience and knowledge, and always with a smile, they were all so kind and friendly and ensured that the four of us in the group all got the the summit of Kilimanjaro and back in one piece. Would recommend them to everyone

Great Safari!
Lewis our guide was amazing! Very knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and punctual.
The safari vehicle isn’t the most comfortable for such long journeys, if you’re tall it might be a problem! The windows in our vehicle were extremely difficult to wind up and down. The two seats in the back are not very comfortable or easy to get into.
The Safari itself was great! Tarangire was definitely the best day and we saw so many animals. Serengeti was slightly disappointing, but still a great experience. We had cooked food every day for lunch. It wasn’t hot, but it was warm and adequate.
I would definitely recommend Suricata Safaris and wouldn't hesitate booking with them again.
