Outstanding personality. She knows what exactly what her job entails.
5/5

Our 5-day safari through Samburu, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara was an unforgettable experience. Jeff, our tour guide, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive to every detail. Each park offered unique beauty, from the rare species in Samburu to the flamingos at Nakuru and the breathtaking wildlife of Masai Mara. The accommodations were comfortable, the vehicle well-maintained, and everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend this tour and Jeff for anyone looking for a well-organized and rewarding Kenyan safari adventure!

Excellent
5/5

It was a family holiday as my wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary while my son celebrated his birthday in November. The planning started as early as February.

We dealt mainly with Fauziah. She was exceptional in patiently handling all our queries( first time travellers to Africa) and customising the holiday.

However, the trip did not completely go smoothly with some glitches but the pace at which the matter was resolved reflected their commitment.

Highly recommended

Adventure, Wildlife, and Wonder with Stuat and Kilitime
5/5

We decided to celebrate our fiftieth birthday with a once in a lifetime safari trip to Tanzania, and it became one of the most unforgettable adventures of our lives. We spent seven days camping in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire National Parks, and Lake Eyasi, and every single day was filled with awe and wonder.

Stuat was our guide and driver throughout the journey, and we could not have asked for anyone better. He is incredibly knowledgeable, cheerful, and deeply passionate about the wildlife and landscapes of Tanzania. We always felt that he was fully prepared and connected, gathering the latest information from park rangers and knowing exactly where to take us at just the right moment. Thanks to him, we never missed a single highlight. He brought us to breathtaking viewpoints and unforgettable game sightings with perfect timing. His presence added joy, excitement, and confidence to every day.

Ibrahim, our cook and logistics support, was one of the kindest and most caring people we have ever met. He did everything possible to understand the individual preferences of each person in our group and made sure every meal, every detail, and every moment felt personalized. His warmth and dedication made the camping experience feel incredibly comfortable and welcoming.

Our adventure in Tanzania was truly superb, far beyond anything we imagined. We are deeply grateful to Stuat, Ibrahim, and Kilitime Adventure for making this journey so special, so memorable, and so full of heart.

This agency isn't very reliable as soon as there's a problem (caused by their own mistake), they do
1/5

I used Chenggong for a 3-night private safari. The pre-departure service was good; we agreed on the accommodations best suited to us and our budget.
On the morning of the first day, they showed up on time, and we began the tour. The basic organization was good; I was initially happy with the service offered, BUT THEN THERE WERE SOME UNPLEASANT SURPRISES!
Already 20 days before departure, the agreed-upon price had changed because I'd been informed of the increase in park entrance fees: we'd have to pay an additional $60 per person. Of course, I wasn't thrilled with the increase, but I realized it wasn't anyone's fault, and I paid the extra money. I simply asked the agency to accommodate us with the price, given the already high price we were paying (remember, it was a private safari). They simply ignored this question and pretended nothing had happened.
The first day in Amboseli was fine, until we arrived at Tsavo East National Park, where we discovered that CHENGGONG HAD NOT PAID FOR ALL THE PARK ENTRANCE FEES: we were missing one day of entry, as our lodge was inside the park (and they had recommended it because it was cheaper than others outside the park). After contacting the agency, they began to argue, claiming that it was a new feature of the park that we had to pay for the first day's stay only, due to the price increase on October 1st, for which we had already paid a premium. I don't know whether to believe them; the basic problem is that even if it were true, they should have known, it's their job, AND THEY HAD TO TELL US. They completely ignored it, or pretended not to know. Had we known, we could have agreed to pay more or change our accommodations for one outside the park.
After speaking with Chenggong, they even refused to admit it was their mistake, saying, "It depends on the park." Shouldn't the agency I book through know about it? So, why did I pay them?
In that situation, we had no choice but to pay: the accommodation was already paid for, and by not entering, we would have lost that money too.
I repeatedly asked the agency to acknowledge their mistake and pay them or refund us (at least a portion, to make things easier).
RESULT: WE HAD TO PAY ANOTHER $180 on top of the nearly $2,000 we'd already paid for a package that included "all park fees," but that wasn't the case.
The icing on the cake: at the end of the safari, we were supposed to take a morning train from Voi to Mombasa, but Chenggong, WITHOUT TELLING US, booked the evening train, ruining all my plans. Anyway, once we took the train to Mombasa, there was supposed to be a driver to pick us up from there and take us to Watamu, also organized by this agency. Result: we arrived in Mombasa and not only was the driver not there, he hadn't even told us he was late, so I feared no one would come. It was late at night, the taxi drivers were getting very pushy, and I didn't have our driver's number. Chenggong didn't answer: he had to call a local to get in touch. The driver, who I don't think had even been notified, arrived at the station more than an hour late, laughed in our faces when he saw us exhausted and angry, and drove terribly. Chenggong claims he was stuck in traffic: first of all, if he had been serious, he would have left earlier given the city traffic; secondly, he should have at least told us. Finally, more than an hour's delay is unacceptable after all these mistakes!
We arrived in Watamu after midnight, so even our plans for the next day were dashed.

For days, RIDICULOUS excuses followed, but never a hint of fixing the situation, or even refunding us part of the money we lost due to their mistake, something they didn't properly inform us about. I asked for two weeks straight to speak to the boss, but there was always the excuse, "He's busy, he's at church, you'll talk to him on Monday." BUT I STILL HAVEN'T TALKED TO ANYONE.

Final advice: only use agencies that someone you know has already tried firsthand, especially for such important and expensive experiences. Don't ruin unique experiences like a safari for untrustworthy people like these! Don't even consider Chenggong.

Our Dream Safari Brought to Life by Oldbeast Vacations
5/5

We had a truly wonderful safari with Oldbeast Vacations in Tanzania, a five day journey that took us through Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. From the moment we began the booking process, everything felt effortless. The team was flexible, understanding, and attentive to every wish we had, which made it possible for us to create the safari we had always dreamed of. Since this was our first time in Africa, it meant so much to know that every detail was already taken care of, from the airport pickup to the accommodation for our first night. That peace of mind made it easy to simply enjoy the experience.

During the safari, Joshua was our driver for the entire trip, and he was absolutely exceptional. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about both the wildlife and his work. His experience showed every day, as he always managed to position us perfectly to see the animals up close and capture beautiful photographs. Thanks to him, every moment felt special. We shared so many laughs and unforgettable memories with him, and by the end of the journey, it truly felt like we were traveling with a friend.

We would recommend Oldbeast Vacations to everyone. They are helpful, reliable, and genuinely honest people. There were no hidden costs, no broken promises, just a team committed to giving us the best experience possible.

This safari will stay in our hearts forever.

Extremely professional, the safety & satisfaction of the guest being their priority
5/5

We had a fantastic experience on our private safari with Lion King. The planning to execution was handled professionally by the team as given in the itinerary. No room for surprise or panic. Nickson Anderson was the first point of contact from the team's side & I was really impressed by his approach & answering all my queries patiently. Our guide Leonardo was also a fantastic & knowledgeable young guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 days safari with no glitches whatsoever. I approached Lion King based on online reviews & they truly are a very reliable company for best service & value for money. We are glad we chose them as our tour Operator for our first safari to Africa. We came back with a lot of happy memories on our amazing 6 day trip

Life changing experience!!!
5/5

From the second I requested a quote, Herald was incredibly helpful and promptly responded to all my inquiries. They picked us up from the airport and took us to our first stay. Then we started the safari bright and early the next morning with Daudi! Daudi was incredible and super passionate about what he does. He knew all the places to take us to see every animal up close. Every day he provided us lunch which was an authentic Tanzania food! We were able to see the Big 5 and so much more. Daudi was very knowledgeable about everything and great at communicating. I could not recommend Enjoyable Nature Safari enough. I didn’t know it at the time I booked, but they are a small local safari, and I loved every aspect of the service we received. From now on, we will always book with Enjoyable Nature Safari and will recommend them to anyone else!!!
