This was our first safari in Africa, and we’re really happy we chose Edwin Safari!
We booked a private 6-day tour for three people, covering from Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and ended with two-day Masai Mara. I think the company did a great job planning the route. We got to experience different landscapes and see a great variety of wildlife along the way. Naivasha and Nakuru were definitely worth including in the itinerary.
The accommodation was another highlight. All the lodges were 4- to 5-star quality, with comfortable rooms and really enjoyable restaurants. Most importantly, we stayed inside the parks, which made the game drive experience easier. We were very happy with all the arrangements.
Our guide Jack was fantastic! He’s very experienced, always on time, and knows his way around the parks. We also noticed how friendly he was with other guides everywhere we went, which was really nice to see. We felt very comfortable and safe traveling with him for the whole trip.
We had some trouble with flight delays and delayed luggage at the beginning of our journey, but the team was very flexible and helped us adjust the arrangements. That really took a lot of stress off us, especially since it was our first time visiting Kenya. We got to meet Peter and Edwin when we got out of Nairobi airport.
What I also appreciated was that before they took us to the airport on the last day, Peter also came to meet us in Nairobi shopping mall because he wanted to hear how our trip went and if there was anything they could improve. It’s a small thing, but it says a lot about how much they care about their guests.
Overall, we felt very well taken care of from beginning to end. I believe a company that takes feedback seriously will only get better, and I really appreciate their attitude.

We flew into Kilimanjaro Airport and as soon as we touched down we were well looked after. Everyone is extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Our safari guide picked us up and we drove onto Arusha - the roads are bumpy but the journey is well worth it.
The National Parks are breathtaking. Starting with Tarangire National Park, we got our first glimpse of buffalo, elephants and giraffes. The roads were not too busy, the animals were everywhere, and we always felt safe. Onto Lake Manyara, an incredible, vast expanse featuring tree climbing lions, this felt like our first real foray into the 'bush'. We then went through Ngorongoro and spent the next two days at the Serengeti National Park. This was the most incredible experience. Lions, giraffes, elephants, buffalo and a whole host of other animals enjoying life in their natural habitat. Then we drove back through Ngorongoro Crater and low and behold, we ticked off the fifth of the Big 5 with a majestic rhino walking through the plains.
Writing this review doesn't feel like it does the trip any justice, so I will round off by saying that the experience, hospitality, cuisine and nature of Tanzania is, for me, second to none, and I will be 100% recommending to anyone and everyone I speak to. Asante Tanzania!
