Rasta - Excellent Tour Guide !!
5/5

I booked this safari last minute with my friend and we had the best time! We did two days Serengeti and one day Mgorongoro and it was AMAZING! Rasta was an incredible guide - very informative, calm, considerate, on time and full of interesting stories. We saw all the big five cats up close because he just knew where to be at the right time. I highly recommend him! And the food was also incredible from Chef Samson - soo soo yummy and nobody’s stomach was upset.

You are in good hands with their team. They are masters of their craft. Listen to their advice, cooperate, and you might achieve your dream. My entire group was successful in summiting.

Excellent Private Family Safari with a Fantastic Team
5/5

We had an amazing 3-day private family safari with Serengeti African Tours, visiting Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. Everything was perfectly organized from the initial booking until the very end of the trip.

A special thank you to Evaness, who handled our booking professionally and efficiently, and to our guide, Gift, who was outstanding throughout the safari. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Thanks to him, we saw an incredible variety of wildlife and learned a lot about Tanzania, its nature, and its culture.

We stayed at Suricata Boma Lodge, which was an excellent choice. The lodge enjoys a spectacular location above Lake Manyara, offering breathtaking views and unforgettable sunsets. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious, the food was very good, the swimming pool was a welcome place to relax after a day of game drives, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive.

The parks themselves are magnificent and need little introduction. The wildlife, landscapes, and overall experience exceeded our expectations and created memories that will stay with our family forever.

One suggestion for future travelers: at Lake Manyara, we chose the traditional game drive, which was enjoyable, but after spending two full days in a jeep, I think a walking safari would have been a refreshing alternative and a great way to experience the park from a different perspective. This park is also more modest that Tarangire and Ngorongore, so walking safari would be a great distinguisher.

Another point worth mentioning is the flexibility of Serengeti African Tours. Travelers should not hesitate to ask for adjustments to the itinerary. The team is very accommodating and, especially with private tours, almost anything can be tailored to individual preferences and interests.

Overall, this was a fantastic family adventure, professionally organized and offering excellent value for money. We highly recommend Serengeti African Tours and would especially like to thank Evaness and Gift for making our Tanzanian safari such a memorable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Return to Uganda after 56 years
5/5

I lived in East Africa from 1957 to 1972 as a young child and teenager. About 9 years of this in Uganda and the rest in Kenya. From 1968 to 1970 I was at home In Uganda and at the same time a boarder in a school in Nairobi, Kenya. I have been back to Kenya several times but never to Uganda. I developed the desire to finally see the Pearl of Africa again.

During research in the Internet I came across Nature Responsible with various itinaries and the offer of flexible adjustments to my specific wishes. In October 2024 I had a first contact with Isolde Nowak the co-owner of the company and a perfect package was put together based on a 20-day all Uganda tour. Never has any tour operator in my past experience created such a wonderful travel book with detailed descriptions and photos. Very valuable was the provided file with packing information and practical information such as how to tip for which services.

In a review a brief comment on the pricing should be mentioned. The quote depends very much on what you ask for and I can confirm that the requested price for 20 days full board for mid-range accomodation in Uganda was very reasonable. The cost of international flights are generally not included as this is far too diversified for a Uganda based operator and allows the traveller a choice according to his needs. It may seem to be lof money (currently US$ 800 for gorillas and US$ 250 for chimps) for the permits to visit these wonderful animals, but those prices are determined by the government and it is still worth it for the experience offered and the money goes towards the program.

The trip was then booked for July 2026 starting in Entebbe and proceeding to Jinja, Sipi Falls, Moroto, Kidepo, Ziwa, Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elisabeth, Bwindi, Mburo National Park and finally Kampala with Ndere Culture Centre and my very own special tour of Kampala.

The trip was extremely well organised and we had two vehicles at our disposal for seven travellers and two most competent tour guide/drivers Clinton Mugisha and City Tyson. Isolde selected for us the right lodges in the mid-range category which personally I think are much better than the often overrated deluxe places with little character. These lodges usually accomodate a maximum of up to 40 guests and the service was warmhearted (typical for Ugandans).

We also had the opportunity to stay in the Ensiko Primates Lodge near Bigodi (see separate review). This is a project of the two owners of Nature Responsible and they have my greatest respect for this incedible investment in a lodge that was built in such a way as they see how a lodge should be.

Finally I recommend all travellers wishing to travel to Uganda to make us of Nature Responsible for at least a quote and a proposal. That would convince you. And if you go to Uganda: this is not a country for a hop in hop out trip of a week! This country deserves to be visited at a slow pace and to allow time for impressions to sink in!

Indeed, a memorable safari
5/5

It was a tailored programme just for me. The supporting team of 3 professionals are so good! My guide, with his rich knowledge and persistent character, found all the targeted animals and made every drive out a surprise and celebrating event. My chef, with his experiences at star-rated hotels, made each meal a reason for me to come back to the camp from exciting safaris. It is indeed memorable

Great organisation, beautiful safari
5/5

We booked a 4-day safari for July 16–20, 2026, visiting Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. The organization was excellent; the lodges were spotless, very comfortable, and truly beautiful! The safari itself was wonderful, but John Boma, our driver, made all the difference. He was really nice and highly prepared. Thanks to his experience, he pointed out many animals and shared a lot of facts and interesting details about animal behavior, the locations, and the local people. It was thanks to John that we managed to see all the "Big Five"— a truly unique experience. I highly recommend this company and this tour; we had a fantastic experience!

An unforgettable experience!
5/5

We spent four days on a safari organized by Sereland in Tanzania's northern parks (Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro). Our driver, John, was simply wonderful! He drove tirelessly for four days, covering vast distances for us. He acted as a true guide, sharing anecdotes and interesting facts about the animals. The lodges were simply perfect—truly dreamlike. We stayed at Ikumbi Lodge (near Tarangire) and Mbuni Tented Camp (inside the Serengeti), and we highly recommend both. The organization was impeccable throughout the entire safari. A truly unforgettable experience! Thank you, Sereland; thank you, John!
