We couldn’t have asked for a better Guide/Driver!
We first met Paulo in Moshi after corresponding via email for months. Paulo has wonderful English and was very kind to answer my countless questions leading up to our trip.
Tanzania was our first stop in Africa. After exploring Zanzibar, we flew to Moshi.
Nothing was ever to much for Paulo. He was always early, provided delicious food (not all tour providers do) and was full of knowledge.
We spent 7 days with Paulo exploring Ndutu, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
Accomodation was phenomenal, only trumped by Paulos ability to find animals before they were swapped with 10-20 other cars. His knowledge was phenomenal. One of the greatest parts of the trip was when there was a freak storm in the Serengeti. Close to 100 vehicle’s were stuck behind each other as the path out had flooded and seemed to be rising. This would cause us to miss the remaining 3 days of our safari.
Paulo heard of a way out, and was the first car to cross a different river (one of the most exhilarating things we did in Africa). His expertise really shone through in that moment. He knew what the vehicle could do, and what he was capable of. Many other drivers got stuck and had water flood the engine, causing huge delay for their tourists. Paulo powered through and lead the exodus of other cars.
Words can’t capture how highly I think of Paulo. The trip was world class, he’s an incredible human and guide and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone considering a tour in Tanzania or beyond.
You’ll be in safe hands.

Stephen was a great guide!
My husband and I completed a 12-day birding and primate safari with Bushman Safaris. Our driver & guide, Stephen, was fantastic! He’s an excellent birder and an experienced guide and professional. We appreciated all the little details he saw to for us (drinking water, checking us in to the hotels, helping us find an ATM and gum boots, etc.) and felt safe and cared for in his hands. We learned and saw so much because of him! Most of the lodges/camps we stayed in quite lovely with good, healthy food. When organizing the trip, I communicated with Kate who was very professional, organized and clear in her communication. It was mostly because of her that I chose Bushman. Shortly before our trip, Kate left and other staff took over our account. These folks were not as professional or friendly and communication was frustrating. I hope they can improve these skills for future clients. Besides the staff communication, where I think Bushman could improve is being clear about what’s included in an itinerary and how long it realistically takes to get from place to place. (GoogleMaps was typically accurate on driving times.) We spent way more hours in a vehicle than we wanted and went to a few destinations that had little value for us. The roads in Uganda are bad once you get off the main highways, so that’s something that guests should be prepared for. It would have been good to have a focused consultation with them prior to finalizing the itinerary to really understand what to expect.

Wonderful 12-day experience with Inspired Feet
My friend and I had an amazing experience on our 12-day budget safari in Kenya and Tanzania. The trip was well-organized from start to finish. Since this was a joining safari, we changed guides and tour groups several times, but every transition was seamless thanks to Fiona’s planning and communication. She was always available throughout the trip to answer any questions we had. The locations, excursions, and accommodations all matched what was described in our itinerary. Overall, it was a fantastic and memorable adventure that exceeded our expectations at a good value for the price.

Accommodating
During our stay in Kenya we had a great visit to Crescent Island and Hell’s Gate, booked with Jae Travels. Tour guide Antony was punctual, very knowledgable and accommodating. The boat ride to the Island was a surprising highlight because of the operator who guided us to the island. He really made the 25 min trek enjoyable, relaxing. We were assisted by a guide once at the island to assure our safety and being that close to zebras, giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, pelicans, monkeys etc was just an amazing experience. The island landscape was breath taking. We also enjoyed a great lunch at Carnelley’s. The guide, the vehicle, the boat ride, the Island, the food all 4 star!

We are writing to wholeheartedly recommend John Menri, a safari driver and guide with Simbaland Magic Tours. John was an exceptional part of our safari experience, and his professionalism, knowledge, and calm demeanor made our time in the bush truly unforgettable and ‘the trip of a lifetime.’
From the moment we set out each day, John demonstrated remarkable wildlife knowledge and tracking skills. He consistently anticipated animal movements, read tracks with precision, and knew exactly where to position the vehicle to give us the best—and safest—viewing and photo taking opportunities. Thanks to his expertise, we saw wildlife encounters we would have otherwise missed, including several animals that are notoriously difficult to find. Example: one time we pulled over slowly while other safari vehicles whizzed by, and John pointed out quietly - "There's a leopard in that tree. See? There."
John was also incredibly adaptable. He listened closely to our interests and priorities for each outing and tailored our drives accordingly. Whether we wanted to focus on predators, birdlife, or simply enjoy a slower, more scenic route, he made sure the experience matched our expectations while still maximizing our chances for memorable sightings.
Perhaps most importantly, John maintained a calm, attentive, and friendly presence throughout our journey. He's an interesting, intelligent person. When you spend several days in a bouncy, dusty vehicle with someone it helps that they are someone you can have an interesting conversation with.
