Seamless, personalized, and unforgettable safari experience.
Wow—what an experience! Our 3-day gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was absolutely unforgettable. It was an awesome adventure that truly stole our hearts.
From the moment we booked with Jackal Adventures, everything felt effortless. Christine, the tour consultant, was fantastic—so friendly and engaging from the very first conversation to the end of our trip and trust me, i had plenty of quetsions haha. And then there was Jeffrey, our amazing guide, who made the journey even more special. His passion, knowledge, and energy had us completely captivated and we kept on asking him how he could have all this knowlege at the tip of his fingers. By the end of the safari, we were already dreaming about our next trip back and this one will definetly be longer.
The real magic happened when we finally came face-to-face with the mountain gorillas. Watching them in their natural habitat, so close and so peaceful, was simply surreal—one of those moments that words can’t fully capture. I really think that its something one should experinec at least once in their life time.
This experience left us craving more adventures in Uganda, and we can’t thank Jackal Adventures enough for making it all so perfect. It was worth every penny that we spent on it. If you’re thinking about a safari in Uganda, don’t hesitate—these guys are the best!

Well organized professionals, flexible, adjusting to clients needs
I loved everything about this trip!
Ronald and Bob from Kajie Safaris made really good job to take us to the must see/be in Uganda in the best style.
We saw quite a big group of rhinos in Ziwa sanctuary, lots of chimps (we had the Chimps Kingdom movie live :D), Murchison waterfalls and the National Parks: Murchison and Queens Elizabeth. We did the boat trip on Nile, on lake Bunyonyi, Kazinga channel, to mention only the biggest highlights of this trip as there were many more on our way! And the lodges! Clean, comfortable, with great amenities, delicious food and helpful staff. Each was like cherry on the pie after a long day of exitement going through our activities. And of course the gorllas! That is an unforgetable experience, one in a life time like this!
THANK YOU!
AND Bob - thanks for flexibility!

Mandela was very friendly and knowledgeable on the wildlife, trees, and dynamic of the parks.
Book this tour! Our tour director, Mandela made the experience amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable on the wildlife, nature, and culture of the park and surrounding area. I love that this is a group tour, you are paired well other like minded people who you befriend and get to experience the wonders of tanzania with. The food is outstanding. Our chef, Saleem and his staff was very friendly and talented. The meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were outstanding. He would explain all of the dishes before the meal. The African red wine was a huge plus at dinner.

MANDELA blessed me with much knowledge and valuable insights I wouldn’t have gotten with anyone else
Talk about bang for your buck! This was the adventure of a lifetime. I particularly loved Ngorongoro crater and the Serengeti. The campsites are comfortable, yet still give you a sense of excitement and wonder. Everyone was so nice - even the cooks! Saleem made amazing food and my guides Mandela & Damien were the best ever. I wish I had more time with them!
Everything went so smoothly. There was ample amount of bathroom breaks, food breaks, and stops to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. I hope to take my children on this same trip in the future. Any person of any age could enjoy this trip

James was more than a guide, he was like a travel companion and I enjoyed every minute with him.
I spent five days photographing in Amboseli NP and five days in the Masai Mara NR with James and Wild Portraits Safaris in January 2025. He also coordinated and organized a four day gorilla trekking adventure in Rwanda for me. I started planning this trip about six months in advance and was so impressed with his prompt replies to my many questions and clear communication.
Once I arrived it quickly became obvious that James is very experienced, prepared, thoughtful, energetic, enthusiastic and always on time (early actually). He has outstanding knowledge and years of experience with wildlife behaviour, ecology and conservation biology and I enjoyed our regular conversations about these topics.
He has an outstanding ability to read animal behaviour, know what they will do next, and position you to photographically make the most of the available light, the subject, the landscape and composition. He’s always watching these variables and repositioning when necessary to keep you in the best possible position.
James and Wild Portraits Safaris organized the perfect trip for me and I always felt safe and comfortable. He is such a nice, professional, thoughtful person that he quickly became more of a friend than a guide. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services and I can’t imagine travelling his part of the world with anyone else.

Amazing staff, great experience! Highly recommended over other companies
With so many safari companies to choose from, Suricata sets itself apart at every turn. The staff goes out of their way to make your trip as smooth as possible.
I had lost my charging cable for my Kindle, and the Suricata staff went out of their way to help me. The airport pickup driver let us stop and search for a shop that had it, and when that didn't work, after the Safari Briefing that evening Mr T. went out at 9pm and managed to track a cable down. He even made a trip back to our hotel just to drop it off!
As for the safari, the staff is very communicative with itinerary, pick ups, drop offs, driving times, and meal times. Each day of the safari was it's own unique experience, on our first day alone we saw: zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, ostriches, warthogs, hyenas, and more. By the end of our trip we had seen the big five - lions, leopards, elephants, Buffalo and rhinos. Our guide Damien was extremely knowledgeable, able to identify any bird or animal species that we looked at and tell us all about them.
Damien was an expert at spotting wildlife, and giving us ample time to take photos, and trying to get us the best angle and accommodate any extra photo requests we had.
I was worried about bathroom breaks but I never once had to ask for a stop, the tour has plenty of stops built in for bathrooms and coffee.
I could write an entire review just about the food, but every single meal from our Chef Saleem was mind-blowing. "Picnic lunch" doesn't come close to doing the meals justice, they would pack giant feasts each day with a huge variety of dishes to eat on picnic while looking out over beautiful scenery.
Chef Saleem was very attentive to dietary needs, we had a gluten-free member in our party and he would prepare separate dishes for her and carefully set them aside. Some of the standout dishes served were beef stew, mushroom pizza, ugali, sautéed greens with peanut sauce, curried chicken, cucumber salads, thin pancakes, and bagia. The food is served buffet style with massive quantities, with coffee and tea at breakfast, Mango juice and coke at lunch, and red and white wine at dinner.
In addition to their suggested packing list, flashlights or headlamps are a must for setting up /breaking down camp in the dark. While there are outlets in the jeeps, we found that they could get overloaded and stop functioning if too many devices were plugged in, so a power bank helps if you need to take turns charging up.
All around a fantastic experience and a very attentive company that prides itself on its happy customers.

Professional, nicely-organised and friendly tour operator with amazing tour guide
Good communication between the tour operator and us. We had some request about the accommodation and they were able to fulfil our request. The service was on point that we felt comfortable throughout the whole trip. The money we spent is definitely worth every penny of it for the safari tour and the hotels.

Sekekama Tented Camp – Comfort, Cuisine & Safari Magic!
The 3-day glamping safari in Kruger was simply amazing! Evenings by the campfire with our host Duan were a real highlight – relaxed, fun, and often longer than planned.
The food at the lodge was fantastic – authentic, delicious, and just what you need after a day full of adventure. The glamping accommodation was super comfortable while still feeling close to nature.
And the safari? Absolutely incredible! Lions, elephants, even a leopard – thanks to our expert guides, we had unforgettable sightings.
If you want to experience Kruger up close, this is the perfect way to do it!

Excellent for first time safari goers
We had an excellent time and couldn’t have asked for me.
The communication prior to the trip was very clear, we then met Daniel before we left which was helpful.
The safari itself was excellent, our guide Felix was exceptional - great knowledge and demeanour. We also saw the big 5 in off season.
Strongly recommend for a first time safari goer!
