He was hiliarious and friendly, and worked very hard to make sure we saw everything.
The safari was a once in a lifetime experience. Driving through this gorgeous park, surrounded by nature and the view of the mountains is amazing in itself. But to be able to see lions, zebras, elephants giraffes, hippos and so much more was just incredible! Amazing value for money, 100% worth it!

An unforgettable 3-day safari with Somewhere in Africa!
We booked a private 3-day safari in Tanzania, from 25–27 August 2026, for our family of two adults and two children, visiting Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From the first contact until the end of the trip, everything was extremely well organized, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Somewhere in Africa.
The booking process was excellent, and a special mention goes to our sales agent, Nuhu. He was incredibly helpful, professional and responsive, organized everything perfectly and gave us some of the best advice throughout the planning process. His recommendations really helped us make the right choices for our family and get the most out of the safari.
The transfers and flights were also very well organized. The transfer from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport and back was seamless, and the flights between Zanzibar and the Serengeti airstrip with Flightlink, and from Arusha back to Zanzibar with Auric Air, were arranged perfectly.
But what really made our safari exceptional was our driver/guide, Amani. In our opinion, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. During the three days, his experience, knowledge and incredible ability to find wildlife allowed us not only to see the Big Five, but also countless other animals and some truly amazing and unexpected moments.
One of the highlights came already on our first day, when we witnessed something quite rare and spectacular — a lioness hunting gazelles. It was an incredible experience and something our whole family will remember for a very long time.
The timing of our trip was also fantastic, as we were lucky enough to experience the Great Migration. Seeing such a spectacular natural phenomenon in the Serengeti was simply unforgettable.
The accommodation during the two nights was also very good. We stayed at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp and Ngorongoro Corridor Lodge, and we were very pleased with both.
Choosing a private safari was definitely the right decision for our family. The Toyota Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof provided plenty of space and comfort for the four of us, but, more importantly, it allowed us to adapt the daily schedule to our family's needs without having to depend on other people.
Another experience that we highly recommend was the visit to a Maasai village as we entered the Ngorongoro Corridor. This was an incredibly interesting and authentic experience, both for us and especially for our children. Although this was an additional activity at $25 per person, as clearly stated from the beginning, it was absolutely worth it.
Our children had an amazing time throughout the safari. Amani was incredibly patient with them and gave them lots of explanations, making sure they understood what they were seeing and why it was important. They felt safe at all times, even during those exciting moments when some of the animals came surprisingly close to the vehicle!
Overall, this was a wonderful and unique experience for our entire family, and one we will remember for many years to come. We would especially recommend Somewhere in Africa to families travelling with children — they were professional, reliable and genuinely committed to making our safari special.
A huge thank you to Nuhu and Amani for making this adventure such an unforgettable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better safari! 🦁🐘🦒🐆🐃
Highly recommended!

Knowledgeable and friendly
4 day tour with guide Elisante. Appreciated his friendly demeanor and knowledge about the parks and the animals that we encountered. Trip was planned by my travel partner so I cannot comment on that aspect. Would highly recommend.

Reliable local safari company with great service, fair prices, and unforgettable experiences.
We had an amazing and unforgettable safari experience with Peak Cruise Safaris, and I would highly recommend this local tour company to anyone planning to visit Uganda and Rwanda.
From the very beginning, Jennifer, the owner, was fantastic. She was extremely responsive and always answered all of our questions quickly. Whenever I had something to ask, she was there to help and provide all the information we needed. She also prepared and sent us the itinerary very quickly, which made planning the whole trip easy and stress-free.
One of the things we really appreciated about Peak Cruise Safaris is that it is a locally run company offering very reasonable and competitive prices without compromising on quality. We felt that we received excellent value for our money. The accommodations throughout our safari were beautiful, comfortable, and in many cases felt quite luxurious. The meals provided during the trip were also delicious and exceeded our expectations.
A very special thank you goes to our driver, Godfrey. He was extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always made us feel comfortable throughout the journey. Spending so many days together on the road, having such a great driver and guide really makes a difference, and Godfrey was a big part of why we enjoyed our trip so much.
We also had wonderful local guides throughout our journey, including at Volcanoes National Park, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Kazinga Channel, and during our chimpanzee trekking. Every guide we met was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. They helped us understand so much more about the wildlife, nature, and local environment.
Jennifer, Godfrey, and all of the local guides truly made our safari an amazing and unforgettable experience. We had such a wonderful time and came home with so many great memories.
I would highly recommend Peak Cruise Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Uganda or Rwanda. You get a very good and reasonable deal together with excellent service, quality accommodations, delicious food, knowledgeable guides, and a very personal experience from a local company.
It was worth every dollar we spent. Thank you so much to Jennifer, Godfrey, and everyone who made our journey so special!

Nicholas was amazing from start to finish!
We have just finished a 3 night 4 day safari with Serengeti Smiles and I'm not quite sure how to put into words just how amazing it was! From the booking process, Francisca, was amazingly helpful, answering our questions and booking transfers at last minute from the airport. Our tour guide Nicholas was beyond incredible, informative, kind and helped us on a small shopping trip too. We saw more animals during our safari then we could have imagined thanks to him. The accommodations we stayed in, Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge then Serengeti Classic View Camp and then back to Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge and all 3 were outstanding. We came for our honeymoon and have left with the most amazing memories thanks to Serengeti Smiles and especially Nicholas. Thank you so much.

Memorable
We are a family of three adults, and this was not our first safari, so we arrived in Tanzania with high expectations — we know just how much of a difference a great guide can make, especially on an 11-day itinerary. From our very first emails, Gaspar and Joel at KLA Adventures were attentive and responsive while helping us plan the trip, and they entrusted us to Mohamed, who turned out to be a true leader: young, but remarkably experienced.
Mohamed guided us through Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire for 11 days, and we loved every moment we shared with him. Driving on those roads is far from easy, yet he always made us feel completely safe, while also taking backroads whenever it meant a better chance of spotting more wildlife. His knowledge of these parks, together with his ability to spot animals, is exceptional, and he consistently positioned the jeep in just the right spot for photos, video, and simply taking in the animals in front of us.
We saw everything we had secretly hoped for, and much more, because nature never stops surprising you: a black rhino at dawn in the crater, together with a serval, valleys teeming with wildebeest, buffalo, zebras and antelopes, a couple of leopards in a valley with an almost primordial beauty, a cheetah, and a huge pride of lions feasting on a buffalo, among many other encounters. We are birdwatchers as well and enjoyed observing so many species in all different landscapes. In Tarangire we also got to experience both a night safari and a walking safari, which gave us a completely different perspective on the park and its wildlife.
Beyond the wildlife, we also wanted to connect more deeply with this beautiful country, so KLA arranged visits with the Maasai, Hadzabe and Datoga communities. Sharing their knowledge and traditions gave us moments we will never forget.
The tented camps we stayed in were all very well chosen, too, adding a lot to the overall experience.
Above all, we have to thank Mohamed for making the whole trip smooth and beautifully organized — we always knew what was on the program and understood exactly what we were seeing along the way. We would wholeheartedly recommend KLA Adventures, and Mohamed in particular, to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

Great Experience with Meru Slopes
In August we went on a seven-day Safari with the company Meru Slopes. We first went to Tarangire National Park, before driving to the Serengeti National Park. The last stop was the Ngorongoro Crater, before we got back to Arusha.
All in all, there is to say that it was an unforgettable experience! We got to see all the animals we wanted to and more! Our guide Francis led us safely through the rough paths of the national parks and made sure our experience was perfect. When we didn’t get to see the Mara River Crossing on the day we were supposed to, he went out of his way to ensure we tried again the next day and we actually got to see the river crossing! He did a great job and we can definitely recommend going on a Safari with him.
The lodges were also mostly flawless and the service was impeccable. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable at all times.
We also had a contact person in Arusha, Leonard, who organized everything we needed besides the Safari, like transport from and to the airport and when we contacted him via Whatsapp we always got an answer almost instantaneously.
The whole Safari trip was meticulously planned and safely executed by Meru Slopes. We can definitely recommend choosing this company for a Safari in Tanzania, if you want a great experience!
