The experience of knowing the parks of Kenya has been wonderful and will be forever in our memory.
4/5

Fantastic experience. Fascinating places. Amazing lodgings.

Everything that was hired was fulfilled.

Information about the trip was made available by the company and all doubts were clarified in advance.

The script was unclear about the distances between the parks that were longer than expected. The safari at Lake Nakuru Park lasted only 1 hour, as we spent more than 2 hours on a traffic jam while passing through Nairobi.

The car (mini-van) served the other parks well but was not suitable for the Masai Mara, we had trouble getting to and from the park and the safari was a bit limited.

The drivers (Good Luck and others) who made our transfer from Arusha to Namanga were extremely polite and attentive.

Very different from the guide (Felix) who assisted us during the safaris, who was not attentive or pleasant. This was not clear about the scripts (it did not tell everything, changed in the way), in the pic-nick did not give us the cutlery we had available and did not extend the towel, like the other Classic guide that was in the car next door.

About: Tanzania
Great safari, but be careful with tipping in Zanzibar
Overall rating
4/5

Wildlife in Tanzania was incredible: we saw a lot of animals (lions, giraffes, hippos, zebras, leopards, etc.) and beautiful landscape like the plains of Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. We did a safari with "Bestday Safari" and made great experiences with them: delicious food, awesome guide, game drive in a great car. Overall it's a safe country with nice people, although on Zanzibar you have to pay attention to the people selling all kinds of stuff (from snorkeling tours to marihuana): they are sometimes a bit annoying, although you probably have people wanting to sell you stuff all over the world. What we really didn't like was the thing about tipping: no one is going to do anything for you without wanting to be tipped. We arrived for example at the airport in Zanzibar, went out of the building and got asked by a guy in safety vest what we were looking for. And just thinking that someone in safety vest working for the airport was probably trying to help us was a mistake. Of course he wanted to have money from us afterwards, like a lot of people do. So pay attention if someone really wants to help you or is actually just looking for your money.

A must see once in your life

4/5

This was my second time to Kenya, after a 23 year break, and the wildlife experience was terrific and amazing as experienced already in 1996. The Masai Mara is a life time experience, I cannot imagine a better place for such an experience. The flamingos though have moved away from Lake Nakuru, most to be found at Lake Bogoria now, another life time experience. My first trip to Kenya did not include the beaches, this time we spent a week at Diani beach south of Mombasa, another amazing experience........such a long stretch of white sandy beach along the Indian Ocean (it must be around 80 km) is amazing. Downside in Kenya are safety issues (one is advised not walk around after dark), lots of traffic jams in Nairobi and Mombasa, lots of bad roads in dire repair and the precautions for diseases like Yellow Fever, Malaria and such. Bottom line however is, that Kenya truly is a wonderful and unique destination.

We enquired for a half-day tour to Nairobi National Park, and the team was really quick in sending quotes and follow up.

Very nice experience for a budget safari (6 days Amboseli, Nakuru lake, Masai Mara)
4/5

Group of 3 (2 adults and a 13 year old girl)
Αlthough we had to reverse the route starting from Amboseli instead of Masai Mara as was the plan it was a very good experience. ΅ We saw many animals in Amboseli and Masai Mara (4 out of Big5, no Leopard) but not much of the lake Nakuru because of the heavy rain.

Edward (our driver) is a great tourguide with a lot of knowledge. Very kind and he told us interesting information about the animals as well as their habits. He had a good feeling when to stop for some photos and even when we had a special stopping request he always stopped for us.

We had great time in the parks, but be prepared to sit in a car for a long especially when moving from one park to another.

The food was ok but almost the same every day

This safari is not for anyone expecting comfort and luxury, but if your goal is to see amazing animals at an affordable price then do the tour

We recommend safari experience with Karibu and especially Edward as a driver.

Wonderful 5 days Safari Maasai Mara & Amboseli; perfect organisation, excellent guide, great value.
4/5

Great experience to visit both Maasai Mara & Amboseli; although not the full big five we have seen a lot of animals. Starting with the tour operator; from start to end a very professional organisation. Patricia, our contact person in headquarters Nairobi is driving for maximum customer satisfaction. The safari itself, the car was a 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Pop-up Top Jeep; car well maintained, clean, bottles with water available, enough binoculars, luggage stored in the back and wrapped in blankets to keep the dust out. Our first accommodation, the small and intimated luxury Losokwan Camp; very friendly staff, meals served outside combining food and excellent views. Improvement needed is the shower (you get a bucket with 20 litre hot water). Our second accommodation was the large AA-lodge close to Amboseli; very good shower, lay-out of the lodge very nice but missing the charm and intimacy of the Losokwan camp. Emmanuel our guide, was very knowledgeable; he does not only know which animals you see but was sharing a lot of detailed information on facts and their habits. He knows where and how to spot them. He brings the jeep close enough to the animals to get a very good look but at the same time respecting the habitat of the animals. Animals didn't seem to be disturbed by our presence. Apart from being an excellent guide he was pleasant company and a safe driver.
Why not a 5* rating? This has to do with the package. We booked Maasai Mara and Amboseli with a transfer by train from Emali to Mombasa. We had to go back from Maasai Mara to Nairobi and then to Amboseli, driving for 12 hours, with no time left for a game drive. Safety wise it is not desired to have one person driving that much. On our last day we had to catch the train from Emali to Mombasa early in the morning (only one train per day) so again no time for game drive. Of the 5 day safari effectively there were only 3 days with game drives. Those 3 days were excellent, definitely 5* !!!!. The information on, especially, the 3rd day (1 full day driving without game drive) should have been provided by Kenya Safaris during booking. If we would have known this upfront we would have changed the package to balance game drives and transfers better.

'A Frican' Good Time ;)
4/5

Our 1st Safari—and an experience we will never forget. Malini’s organisation of every detail and on the ground support, ensured that we had a truly unforgettable holiday. We were 3 families, with people ranging from 5 to 74—and everything we could imagine was planned and catered for. Highly recommend going through Malini for a worry-free and enjoyable African safari.
