Really great
4/5

My boyfriend and I planned this trip really fast. It was very easy to contact the organisating manager of the safaris. We saw the big five, inclusing 3 rhinos. Our guide, Freddy, was really good: he gave the correct information and spoke very clear english. The food was good. The cook Dennis did a great job. We were in good company. We really liked it!!

Well organized, good communication, experienced driver
4/5

We did a four day camping safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Seven Wonders and had a perfect time! We can definitely recommend the length (two days at Serengeti), much longer would have been too exhausting. The owner Evelyn was very friendly and helpful from the beginning and took really good care of us during the trip. Our driver was very experienced and friendly but not too enthusiastic about the whole trip. Our group was great, all around the same age and from different countries. Two of us stayed at lodges and had to be transferred to different places in the evenings, which made it a little complicated sometimes. But our overall experience was very good, we almost saw all of the big five (except rhinos) and would definitely recommend it!

About: Madagascar
Great place for close ecounters with wildlife
Overall rating
4/5

We had a 8 days trip to Madagascar in November 2019. We spend the time on east cost of the island - Andasibe & Palmarium Reserve. The wildlife was very good - lemurs are close and provide excelent opportunites for photography. Birds in Andasibe were good and approachable, a bit worse in Palmarium (very few visible). We used Assiten Travel and the service was excelent - very good accomodations, great driver, food and transportation.
Mine key target was to photograph lemurs and I am very happy with the results :).

Amazing safari experiences in Kenya & Tanzania
4/5

Communication was excellent! Mark made sure he answers to all our questions - before, during and after the trip. He explained very well on the details so we could get our expectations right. We had quite a short time in Africa but wanted to do both Kenya and Tanzania Safari and Mark got that arranged very well. The safari will not disappoint you. Thanks to our drivers Richard (Kenya) and Saleh (Tanzania) we got to see all the big 5 plus some other animals we've never seen before! They were both very experienced and they can kinda predict where the animals will be. Our chef Buga also is a very good cook! Accommodations were all as expected. Our only complaint/confusion was when suddenly there was another tourist transferred into our van in Kenya on our 2nd day (not as scheduled) so the van was a bit cramped for the next 3 days. But other than that everything else was great!

Great safari experience but don’t underestimate the budget level of the accommodation/transport
4/5

We did the 6-Day Magnificent Best of Kenya Safari with Karibu, visiting the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli.

Communication was good - office was reactive responding to emails. On the first day they picked us up from the hotel, drove us to an ATM then we handed over the cash in the car outside the office. We were not invited inside and there is apparently no toilet available for use.

Our driver Edward was friendly, deeply knowledgeable on the wildlife and highly experienced with navigating the parks, showing us a fantastic variety of animals. He worked tirelessly over the 6 days. Only suggestion for improvement would be to offer more frequent toilet breaks. Indeed Edward would stop briefly for a roadside wee whereas our toilet breaks were less frequent and fixed at souvenir gift shops!

It was frustrating that Karibu mixed people on different tours, staying in different standards of accommodation meaning we wasted a lot of time doing detours and waiting around for people. On two game drives they crammed 7 people into the van, which made the experience much less enjoyable. The 12+ hour day travelling from Lake Nakuru to Amboseli (with a stop on the outskirts of Nairobi to pick up more people) was brutal especially as the accommodation awaiting us at Amboseli was the lowest standard of the three.

The meals were generally of a decent standard but lacking somewhat in variety. Limited selection of alcoholic drinks were available for purchase. At each accommodation there were inflated prices for bottled water so it is advised to make the most of the bottles provided by the driver. Breakfast was always rushed (30 minutes between breakfast being served and departure with all luggage).

Enchoro Wildlife Camp Masai Mara – Nice camp with spacious tents. Electricity run off generator limited to fixed times in morning and evening. Beer available but not chilled.

Hotel Citymax – Budget hotel with nice evening meal. No alcoholic drinks for purchase but option to source your own beer in the town and drink in the hotel. Roof terrace available.

Kimana Amboseli Camp – Tatty and rundown camp. Small tents. Holes in mosquito nets. Decent food and cold beer available.

Optional activities were nice to pass the time:
- Masai Mara Village Visit - $10 USD
- Lake Naivasha Boat Trip - $20 USD
- Amboseli Sunrise/Sunset Nature Walk - $10 USD

Well done
4/5

We met in Nairobi with our driver/guide William, very human person, availble to satisfy everything you need. We went 2 days in Maasai Mara, beautiful, we could see many animals, and 1 day to Lake Naiwasha, boat ride, cycle tour, very nice, among the weather...
Only suggestion to pay attention with Wifi connection in the van and in the Ecocamp. Everything OK, thanks to Maurice too.
Next year we would like to have another trip with them.
Thanks.

Still great wild life

Avoid popular game reserves. Too many vehicle safari travellers. Go to minor reserves such as Dinokeng near Pretoria. You can stay in the reserve and practically monopolize the nature. Few travellers. Safety is good opposed to typical travellers comments. Just don't do things or go to places you don't in your own country.

Great customer service during the planning..but no follow up
4/5

Would rate 4.5 but did not have the option..overall wonderful service...great options ..good communication and personalized service during our planning process. We had a very memorable safari experience..our itinerary was perfect for first-time safari travelers..each camp was so very different..the terrain..the venue and the wildlife...an amazing experience..our only negative was that Yellow Zebra never followed up with us or checked in with us to ask how our trip/safari adventure was...disappointing...James Short was our initial contact.....James was our initial contact and he was very helpful in selecting our camps...and Emma was very helpful the week or two prior to travel with last-minute issues because the Visa process changed..we just felt it was very strange that no one asked us if we enjoyed our trip after we returned home..
